VB 2010 Change The Image In A Picture Box Using A Combobox With Item Collections 0-8?
Oct 19, 2010
I am trying to change the image in a picture box using a combobox with item collections 0-8.When I run the program no matter what I choose in the combobox it selects case 0 and willnot change. code below for selected index changed.
Private
Sub ComboBox1_SelectedIndexChanged(ByVal
sender As System.Object,
ByVal e
I have a combo box with "yes" and "no" with i select Yes i want the label2 to change the text to "yes" likewise with "no"
I've tried to code it in a logical way as possible but it just doesn't works except for the "wtf" so i think that overall my code is correct but the way i want to retrieve the selected item from combo box is wrong.
Public Class Form1 Dim aa As String Private Sub Button1_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As
I am new to vb.net and I am using visual studio 2010. I have two comboboxes on a form, each combobox is set to DropDownList so that a list of items can show in the combobox, but no text is allowed to be entered.
For combobox A, if user chooses item 1, the list of combobox B should be updated accordingly. I think this is quite common on a lot of applications. But I do not know to implement it. I even do not know the keyword to search for the relevant property or event handler.
I got picturebox and 1 combobox with pic 1 (red) and pic 2 (blue) and if i take pic 1 (red) will the picture show at the picturebox and i if i click pic 2, the blue pic will come =)
I am trying to change imaghes in a single picture box when a command button is executed. I do not want to create 100 different picture boxes to display different images
if i want to change the picture box image with code, where should i put the image files so it doesnt matter where the person installs the program? for example:
onlinepic.Image=("IMAGE HERE")
like, isnt there a way to import pictures into your project or like the bin thing or whatever?
I made a picture box and imported an image named Title.jpg. Later I made adjustments to the picture and imported it again without deleting the original(mistake). The new one had the name automatically changed to Title1.jpg. So I deleted the original image from resources and renamed Title1.jpg back to Title.jpg.
Now I got two problems. First, only Title.jpg is on the solution explorer, but Title1.jpg(along with Title.jpg) still pops up on the resource list when I click on Image property of the picture box. There's only the name and no picture, and I don't see a delete option. How do I get rid of it? Second, even though I changed the image to the new Title.jpg in the picture box, the old one is displayed when running the app. What's up with that?
I got a Combobox with some items (item1-item7) to select and 54ish Buttons(sButton1-sButton54). Also an array(53) called Buttons. The array is filled with the items to select, like: Buttons(0) = "item 1, item 2" Everytime another item in the Combobox is selected, I'd like only some of the Buttons to change their Image. Therefore I got the array. If Item 1 is selected and Buttons(0) contains the item1 I'd like to change the Button1's image.edit: It works with changing the image of every Button:
sButton1.Image = My.Resources.image1
But I'd prefer to change all in one go (Loop) instead.
What I to do is really simple. I want to add a group of text boxes in my VB net application. note that the number of text box only can be known at run time.
I want to give default value to this group of text boxes. At run time, users can input text and change the text for each item.
How can I do this? Is there a control to do this?
What I can remember is ComboBox control. However, I only can display the item text and do not know how to change the text for each item.
I can't seem to get this to work so I need a fresh set of eyes on it! I have a combobox dropdown with some names. When I select a certain name from the list, I want it to change the textbox property.I tried :if combobox1.selecteditem= "edward" thentextbox1.maxlength= "2"
I am making a game based on "Simon" where the computer creates a sequence and the user then has to then replicate it. To create and show the sequence I am generating random numbers between 1 and 4 then based on what numbers come out I change the image in a picture box to simulate coloured squares lighting up. The problem however that I think I am having is that the loop I made is executing too fast as all I see when I run the program is the last light in the sequence. For example is the sequence generated was 2341 all I see light up is square 1. I have stepped into the program and it goes through everything correctly so the only thing I can think of is that it runs too fast to see? [code]
I have a combobox called cbMaterialType on a windows form that's bound to a table in SQL - everything loads great and the combobox displays 'Material' items as it should, in that table I have two fields - Material (as mentioned above) which is a char(25) and InStock which is an nchar(1). If the InStock field contains a '1', I'd like the individual material to be green in the combobox, if '0', then red. I have the simple code in the drawitem event of the combobox as follows, but can't seem to get any results at all:
Private Sub cbMaterialType_DrawItem(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.Windows.Forms.DrawItemEventArgs) Handles cbMaterialType.DrawItem If MaterialTableAdapter1.GetData.Item(cbMaterialType.SelectedIndex).InStock = 1 Then cbMaterialType.ForeColor = System.Drawing.Color.Green Else cbMaterialType.ForeColor = System.Drawing.Color.Red End If End Sub
I've never worked with any form of color in comboboxes before and this is my first attempt at the drawitem event.
the below statment is right 100% but what i need is to change the word mobinil when the user choose another item from the combobox
cmd.CommandText = "select * from warehouse where mobinil ='" + ComboBox2.Text + "'".I thought that i can do the follwoing dim x as string x= here will be the item selected by user- and ofcourse i need it to be put instead of the word Mobinil cmd.CommandText =
"select * from warehouse where x value ='" + ComboBox2.Text + "'" is that possible ?
If i wish to put items into a System.Collections.Generic.Dictionary, I can either Add or set the Item.I know if you do Add it helps you check if the key already exists and if not it throws an exception. Now I'm curious, so if I'm adding a ton of items, should I prefer setting Item instead of Add since Add does unnecessary checks that may actually slow things down?
I am trying to perform Zoom and Pan the image in Picture box using the following The Width and Height of the picturebox is (1024,1024).
Private Sub Picturebox1_Paint(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.Windows.Forms.PaintEventArgs) Handles Picturebox1.Paint If Mouse_Operation = "ZOOM" then ZoomWidth = 1024 * Total_Zoom_value ZoomHeight = 1024 * Total_Zoom_value
[code]....
Total_Zoom_Value and (imgx, imgy) are calculated based on the mouse movements on the picturebox. Now I am able to do the PAN operation after Zoom operation. But If i try to do Zoom operation after PAN operation, I am not able to Zoom the image from the PAN co-ordinates (imgx, imgy). I am not getting how to retain the image drawn using e.graphics.drawimage.how to do the operations on e.graphics.drawimage.
How can I have it so that you can add items to a System.Collections.Specialized.String Collection but only if it is not there already? I have already found the code, but deleted it and cannot remember it. It is something like[code]....
I am trying to solve an issue in my application where the following exception is occurring: there is already an open datareader associated with this command which must be closed first. I am using TableAdapters, which maintain their own DataReaders, and everything seems to work fine unless I am interacting with one of my background workers.
In my code, I shadow the Item property of my collections so that I can retrieve the actual data from the database if needed. Here is a sample:
[code]...
Now each reference to the Item get property instantiates its own DataAdapter, so I am confused as to how the same DataReader will ever be used in this scenario. Is there something I am missing? All the TableAdapters do in fact use the same connection object, but I wouldn't think that would be a problem
in what situation will an item in System.Collections.Generic.List not be removed successfully?url...The way they phrase it makes me think that it is possible that a Remove operation on an item found in the List(Of T) could actually fail.
i need some help with this problem. i have seen some solutions but written in C and im not that good to convert from C to vb.net.Well i want to 'do something' when i mouse move at an item of the combobox dropdown list.like when i move the mouse over "jkl" make the button1.text = "jkl"when i move the mouse over "def" item make the button1.text = "def"
For Each Proc as process in process.getprocesses Combobox1.Items.Add(Proc.MainWindowTitle)
to populate a combo box with the list of current process windows, however for every process that doesnt have a main window title there is a blank space, is there a way that I could tell it to not insert the item if it's mainwindowtitle field is blank?
i have a combobox containing countries name and their codes like INDIA:CNT001 then i have a textbox that store the code of country i.e CNT001(fetching from database) Now i want to match that code with the combobox code so that the combobox is set to that item when i click a button. i m using vb.net and sql server as database.
Im Using a datagridview to display items in an invoice. when the user enters the data in, they use a DGVcombobox to select which particular item they want. what i want to know is. can i change the text of the combobox programatically after the items have been filled
Edit The DGV in question has 2 predefined columns one is a comboboxcell and the other is a text box cell im trying to fill it using
