VS 2005 Preventing Buttons From Moving?
Mar 9, 2010I have a win app with some buttons. Whenever I run the app, the buttons move away from their default location. Is there a way to fix the button in one location.

Preventing Form2 From Moving?
Jun 28, 2010I have 2 forms. Form1 and Form2 When the user calls for a new record to be created, Form2 shows modally centered in form1. I have disabled the control box and need to stop the form from being moved by the mouse. I do not see (Movable) in the properties list.

Oct 7, 2009My app allows the user to set a new button on a tabpage, move it and resize it. They will do this over a background image so the buttons line up with images in the background.Without the background image, the buttons move smoothly and quickly. With the image turned on, the buttons want to move sloooowly and they drag. I made up this code just to show the basic function of what I am trying to accomplish.

VS 2005 Moving Project To Laptop?
Nov 20, 2009I developed a project that uses Access 2003 db on my Vista 32 bit desktop. I recently bought a Vista 64 bit laptop and upgraded it to Windows 7.I installed Visual Studio on my laptop and Office 2003.I copied the project from my desktop to my laptop using the exact same paths. When I try to build the project on my laptop I get this error:"Unable to find manifest signing certificate in the certificate store"So, I tried creating a simple project using an Access 2003 DB and when I try to run it I get this error:"MicroSoft.JET.OLEDB.40" Not registered on this machine".I went to the "windowsSysWOW64" folder and ran "regsvr32 msjetoledb40.dll"and it ran successfully, but it didn't solve the problem.If I use the Server Explorer in the IDE, it displays the data.

VS 2005 Treeview Moving Tag To Listbox?
Mar 18, 2009so here is what I got so far. I have a treeview with multiple states as parent nodes. then as child nodes I have certain cities. as for my code - I have it set up that if I check the parent node, all children nodes will be checked. I also have code that moves the tags to listbox. the only items that have tags are the children. the code that I have works if I have tags set for the states, but I dont want to have parent tags move to the listbox. how can I change the code I have or rewrite my code to get ONLY children tags in the listbox even if the parents are checked??? hope this makes sense. here is my code

Mar 3, 2012I have a piece of software with two tabs, inside each tab there are buttons (the user can add the buttons when they want). when tab1 is full tab2 should start to fill. I currently know how many buttons fit on the screen so I just say something like if buttons > 150 then start to populate tab 2 The problem i have now though is if the resolution is changed then a different amount of buttons can be displayed. so if I put my screen to 1280x720 some buttons are left of. I was thinking of detecting the resolution and then using different cases for different resolutions but this seems very inefficient im wondering if there is a different way?

VS 2005 Combobox And Buttons Are Not Locked?
Jun 29, 2009I have an application which consists of labels, textbox, combobox and buttons. The combobox and buttons loads after the contents of an Excel file is loaded into the application.However if the form is resized before the loading, the position of the combobox and the buttons changes even though all the controls are locked. The position of the labels and textboxs remains the same. Can anyone figure out any reason for this anomaly?

Now the number of rows returned is 5. But on clicking the show button I can see only the last row in the textbox's. Then how to see the first row by clicking the show button? And how to see all rows one after another by clicking the next button? I need to use:
dr.NextResult()
to loop through the fetched data. But I cant place it properly in the next button code. How to do the code for show and next button to get the desired result?
VS 2005 - How To Eliminate Buttons On Form Caption Bar
Apr 12, 2010How to get rid of all the buttons - or boxes - on a form's caption bar without actually eliminating the bar itself? The closest I've gotten is setting the FormBorderStyle = FixedToolWindow, but that still leave a close button ('x'). If I set the control box property = False, that get's rid of the bar itself. I want to the users to still be able to grab the bar to move the form around, but not to minimize, maximize, or close via the caption bar - only the buttons I have on the form. It's always difficult when user's want something that's not standard windows design.

Preventing .NET From Saving The Project?
Dec 29, 2009Is there a way to prevent the VB .NET editor from saving the project whenever IT LIKES TO ? It very annoying ; it so stupid that it saves things that I don't want to and that I didn't ask it to do .If I add a form and then close the editor , when I open the project again , that form is still there though I DIDN'T save it !If I change a declaration from Friend to Public and close the editor without saving , then when I open again the project , my modified code remains modified , though I DID NOT save it !Today I realized that if I delete some controls of a form and then close the Editor , then when I reopen it , the controls are missing for good ! It saved that modification by itself !

Feb 26, 2012I've completed an assignment that requires me to search through two listboxes for a particular number.If the number is found, the text on a label changes to a dollar amount, otherwise a message box is displayed letting the user know that the requested number cannot be found.It works well enough, searches through the listboxes, finds the number, and displays the message box when it can't be found.However, the message box shows repeatedly up to five times.After the user clicks "OK" on the fifth appearance, the program crashed and displays the follow message."Invalid Argument = Value of '5' is not valid for 'index'.Parameter name: index."I don't know what's causing this, or how to fix it.I do use the index as a counter at a portion of the program...but I'm not sure where I went wrong with it.[code]Also there are five items in the second listbox...probably has something to do with it.
