I am trying to use 2 buttons (up and down) to move up and down in the listview highlighting each item depending on what direction its going in the listview.This is my current code:

I have a win app with some buttons. Whenever I run the app, the buttons move away from their default location. Is there a way to fix the button in one location.

They will do this over a background image so the buttons line up with images in the background.Without the background image, the buttons move smoothly and quickly. With the image turned on, the buttons want to move sloooowly and they drag. I made up this code just to show the basic function of what I am trying to accomplish.

I'm doing a maze using VB10. its about moving a PictureBox between LineShape lines using buttons to move it. the problem is, can I make the picture not to move through the LineShape? if so how? or should I use something else other than the LineShape and another question can i save the progress of the maze and come back to it later? if so does it require using a database to save the location of the PictureBox?
View 3 RepliesI have a list view with 2 columns and I want to move the data in the 2 columns to another list view but here is the problem. The other list view hass 4 columns. the frist 2 columns are for the first record I selected and the other 2 columns are for the second record. It will be like vs, like if you have record a,b, c,d and you select record a and click the button awill be on the first 2 columns and if then you select record c and click the button it will be a vs c but then I will need to be able to to that with the records remaining on the first listview. Now what I suppose is that, After I entered something in "Comment" field and press the Key "Enter", the next row of the "Comment" field will get focus.
I added the following code of the event "PreviewKeyDown", but it seems that the next whole row will get focus not only the "Comment" field...

I have an idea on how I want to proceed, but thought to get some ideas from you all first. I asked a similar question a while ago, but that involved different controls.I have 7 items in a ListView. If the user checks one of the items, I want a panel with three radio buttons to appear just for that item.I originally thought to make 7 panels, hide all of them, and then show and hide them when appropriate. I know this will work, but I really don't want to just overlap 7 panels and an overall 21 radio buttons.Is there a way I could use only three radio buttons with one panel? Or maybe create the controls during runtime?
View 3 RepliesI have a piece of software with two tabs, inside each tab there are buttons (the user can add the buttons when they want). when tab1 is full tab2 should start to fill. I currently know how many buttons fit on the screen so I just say something like if buttons > 150 then start to populate tab 2 The problem i have now though is if the resolution is changed then a different amount of buttons can be displayed. so if I put my screen to 1280x720 some buttons are left of. I was thinking of detecting the resolution and then using different cases for different resolutions but this seems very inefficient im wondering if there is a different way?

What I would like to do is to have four different buttons (e.g., buttonA, buttonB, buttonC and button D). I wanna give the following instruction to the people: press these buttons in the following order: first buttonA, then buttonB, then buttonC and last buttonD. If they obey this instruction then a picture will be displayed, for instance a happy face. All the other combinations will not activate this picture to be displayed, or in other words, there won't be any consequence. I would also like to save this data using windows note pad e.g., writeline (1, xxxxxx). Is there any chance I will make it?

i need to get some buttons to interact with other buttons on screen when i click then, as each indivual button gives a slightly different result.imagine this:[code]....
then i need then to hide different buttons depending on which button was pressed. so say i pressed button 1 then all the buttons showed but alternativly if i had of pressed 2 then say button 5 and 6 disapear.managed to get one way to work but then i would only ever end up with the first results every time.
My VB application is behaving strangley. I have form with fairly large number of controls. I am using case against radio buttons. after curtain number of buttons, it stops responding to more radio buttons.
Then I tried to split controls in to 2 form but now my form.showdialog() too now working properly. It takes new from names but show the old form when running.

The Finish button will execute the final piece of code.The Cancel button will exit the application.If the user is on the first form, then there is no Back button.If the user is on the last form, then there is no Next button, but there is a Finish button.

I have 3 forms, one frmMain - main form, second is frmUserType- childform, and the last frmCreateUserType. In the main form I have a menu item to open my frmUserType, In this form I have a button to open another form which is my frmCreateUserType, In this form I have a button to add records then update the listview in frmUserType. The problem is the listview will not access with my add button control in frmCreateUserType. I tried not to used mdiparent declaration for my frmMain and frmUserType as children and it works, so meaning that the problem is showing my frmUserType as childform?I am using vb.net 2008

I have a media browser program I am building. I am trying to use drag/drop so a user can drag media tracks from one listview to another listview and then use the second list view as a playlist in windows media player com object. Reading at MSDN I have found out that there is no built in support for item re-ordering with the listview control. I have listview1 working correctly but when I try to reorder items in listview2, the dragged item ends up at the end of the list. So basically I need to get the item insertion index corrected. I have tried more than 10 times to get this code right.

View 5 RepliesI'm using ListView control, with SmallIcons style in VB.NET. Icons are loaded fine, but when I start to scroll ListView down or up from scrollbar (clicking from arrows), rowheight drops to about half from normal in next 20-30 rows below/above upper/bottom row (depends from the scrolling position). After 1-2 seconds, ListView is "refreshed" and scrolling continues normally. When focus in on the ListView and I'm moving up/down with arrow keys or PageUp/PageDown, everything is normal. Any suggestions, what is happening? SmallIcons size is 16 * 16. Is it compulsory to set "Blank icon" with SmallIcon size to all rows, when adding them or what? Wasn't like that in VB6, how is it in VB.NET?

I want the user to be able to re-arrange the columns (by dragging the column headers) before printing the contents of the table.

Give the column-name (c) and cell-contents (3) of the origional table .. not the (3rd) column (b) of the re-arranged table.
