VS 2005 Space In Column Name

My column name has a space in it, nothing I can do about that it comes from a 3rd party provider.My Column name is "Sold Price" I am trying to use a textbox value in place of hard coding the word "Sold Price" because i am trying to write my program to work with a different database that might use "SoldPrice" or "sellingprice" etc.I know when I was hard coding the column name i had to place a "'" or bracket around the name because there was a space i cant seem to quite get it when i use the textbox value.[code]

I thought this would have been quite common but can't find anything on this. I'm trying to query columns that have spaces immbedded within them. For the life of me I don't see a way of selecting them when I'm trying to assign them to an alias when creating an anonymous type result. [code]...

How would i get a certain text inside a textbox to equal that text space to space or null to space?

I am using a picture box. I want to be able to use the Space or Enter key to change the image in it. For that, I try to use the keydown function as follow:

I have a datagridview on a form and what I need to do is loop through the dgv and get a total of how many X's are in each individual column and then display the total in a Label. Here is the form and some information. I know how to get the sum of numbers in a column but not how to do this.
There are 28 columns Column Names are Day1, Day2, Day3 etc (so I know to use a for loop but can't figure it out) The total needs to go in the label at the bottom of each column,again they are Label28, Label29, Label30 right on up to Label56. I will continue working on it

I have a pre-existing database which I am coding to, so I can't change the data stored in the SQL-Server 2005 database. My application uses the DataGridView to maintain the data. There is a yes/no field that I would like to bind a checkbox to. The field is a character field in the database, and holds either Y or N. So, here's the question. I know how to set the column to be a checkbox, I think, but I don't know how to map it so that it reads/stores a "Y" value as checked and a "N" value as unchecked.

In the dgv_CellEndEdit event I know I can find which cell I'm in by the "CurrentCell.ColumnIndex" property. I'd like to be able to check the current column name. If I use "columnIndex" and a column is added or deleted this could cause errors.

I have a program that reads a 3rd party .txt file using OleDB into a DataTable When it reads it, its creating a column alias name, and works fine.
gives the user the ability to save a record to the .txt file by using an OleDb command statement and inserting a record into the DataTable then I re-write the file using stream writer because my understanding is you can NOT write directly into the .txt file.
I have created the program to read column postion rather then name since some data providers call columns different names, but I havent encountered a provider using the same name for 2 different columns.

I am using the TextFieldParser to read a 3rd party .txt Tab Delimited File Sometimes the file contains duplicate column names and subsequently I cant create my DataTable.
How can I check for duplicates first and change the name of the duplicate fields so I can populate my Table?
Example:

I am creating an attendance system where i want that for a particular id given by user, attendance of that id get saved in the MS access sheet. What i am wanting is that column name should be i date format pre created by me nad as user enters the id the program retrieves date from system and based on that date (taking it to be dynamic column name) writes an p on them. I am using SQL query to update i.e using update statement now i am unable to find correct syntax for using dynamic column name.

I am using TextFieldParser to Read a Tab Delimited Text DataFile. The problem I have is that some times the data file (3rd party provided) contains an extra Tab which therefore creates an extra column. I need to remove this unnecessary column. Some columns will have rows that are empty so I cant just delete the column if it has a blank row, So I think I need to loop through each column and if if every row is blacnk then delete that column.
Here is the code that reads the file, I was going to remove the column from the table called table before I populate the table called dtAll , which is what my program uses

I am working with two different connections because the information I need is stored in two different locations. One being Oracle, the other being Access. I pull all the information I need from Access with the exception of one field which I pull from Oracle. When I add this field to my datatable, it adds it to the end. I am wanting the column that I add to be between column 1 and 2 of my current datatable. Anyone know the best way to do this? From what I could find, there wasn't a way to re-arrange columns. Using late binding i have set the numericupdown maximum to the column's count of the excel worksheet. Now the Min and Max of NumUpDn is 1 and 16384.
Now i want to change the numeric value to column name i.e
if the user selects 1 then "A" , if 26 then "Z" ,if 27 then "AA"...200=>GR

I have a column of data in my text file datafile coming over as a string value 06/05/2011 12:00:00 AM opened in notepad all my fields are in quotes. "06/05/2011 12:00:00 AM"If I open the file in excel it displays 06/05/2011 0:00 If i then save that file back into excel it removes the quotes 06/05/2011 0:00 If I open the excel saved version my schema file will read the date as a date But If I open the version that has the quotes "06/05/2011 12:00:00 AM" and manipulate the string to "06/05/2011 0:00" and try to parse the column I get error string not recognized as valid date time

I've got this working but there's something I don't understand about it. I have a DataGridView and a listbox. I want to position the listbox to be the same location as the topmost visible cell in the column the mouse is in. The end result will be that a context menu will be provided to show the user the distinct values in that column which is why I want the listbox to show over the column that it's displaying data for, just below the header cell. I'm testing right now using the CellMouseEnter event and the following code is working:
