Dec 11, 2009I already know how to change the coordinate system using Scale method in vb6. I'm trying to find some method like than in .Net 2008 but I can't.how to do this?

Mar 15, 2012i am looking for to change coordinate system on VB.net. i am using vb.net 2010.when i try to use e.graphic.transform in mouse move event it does not take. it only take in PaintEventArgs
by default the coordinate system is from up to down for Y Coordinate. and i need to change it in to down to up.how to change that system on mouse event.

Dec 16, 2010I am reading the memory from a game and I have managed to find the x,y,z values of the player (z is irrelevant). Now I am trying to make some sort of a waypoint system and I thought it would be best to make a small coordinate based map that will act as a birds-eye view of whats going on ingame. But I don't know where to begin creating this thing, since it needs tons of xyz values.Just throwing this in here since I've already made the thread:I also want a small circle to represent the player that will turn, facing waypoint 1 and move in a straight line towards it.

May 25, 2011This project is based on a MUD, or at least originates from playing them. I have an ascii map where each character represents a type of terrain. I have found code for reading one line at a time, but I need to not only dictate which line to be read, but how many characters in to the line to read. Basically trying to make a grid/coordinate system, where I can tell it my location is 4, 7 and the program will read the fourth line, seventh character.

Nov 16, 2010I have managed to develop a form which allows me to add a record to an access database using Adonet. The last few fields added are populated when i place the mouse over a floor plan image on the form (provide geographical location) and capture the x y coordinate. Prob im having is how on another form i get the points to automatically re-draw on a form with the same content (floor plan on it. I can obviously retrieve the data set using a data adapter/data table just cant make it draw on top of the graphic automatically.

Sep 2, 2011I am trying to get the green label box to show the correct coordinate after the box is scaled. The red box always shows the true coordinate of the mouse in the picturebox. So for example - after you click on [Scale x4], the 32x32 picturebox will be 128x128. The red box will now show from 0-127 x and y. I would like the green box to show 0-3 x and 0-3 y. Nov 28, 2010When we are typing the msconfig in Start>Run the window is appearing that is named System Configuration Utility . Now I want with WMI and API objects access this data and change them by programming in VB6. Specially, I want to change data on Start-up lists and Boot up services Can any one suggest me a solution?
Note: When I am going to use registry datas in compare of System Configuration Utility I have found that all of applications are not listed in registry + startup folder of windows. I think there is a provider for this issue in windows that returns or manages all applications on startup. I am searching for that.

So the user can add categories, delete them and teh UI would accordingly add or remove controls automatically.I used DataGridView, but since the fetching and storing of data will not be done in a database, I need to fetch it and update it using an HTTP API, the data bindings are causing problems as I need to update, Insert or delete data using functions instead of letting VB do the hard work. I tried creating a datatable and checking for changes everytime user added/deleted/changed a row, but again the problem is: in a datatable I am not able select what type of control represents the column. For Example I have a parent category column where the control needs to be a combo box. The datatable's columns don't seem to provide an option and are automatically set to text box.I am thinking there is a really cool way of doing this that I am unaware of. all the VB.NET books I have read only seem to use DataGridView in conjunction with some sort of a database and not independantly.

May 8, 2012I have a select statement which was returning the required values but when I changed the OS date from English(US) to English(UK), it now returns null. I believe the problem is concerned with date since in the query am selecting values where the date from the database is the same as the date in a combobox but I don't know what else I can do. It almost looks like the dates in the combox and in the database are not the same and yet the date in the combobox is actually retrieved from the database and has been returning values fine until I changed the system date format.Here's my select command:

I have it working, but� Through a lot of trying, I discovered that the WordBasic line would work. Further exploration revealed the �with dialogs(13)� will work. In a Word macro it would be Dialogs(wdFilePrintSetup) or Dialogs(97)
This is where it gets interesting. While Word.WdWordDialog.wdDialogFilePrintSetup equals to 97 it doesn�t activate the correct dialog. After considerable trying, I found that index 13 does yield the correct dialog box.

I wonder if this is the BEST solution for data management? Currently, among others, we have two big database programs that handle more than two hundred users and it's crashed often. That's the reason we think about changing to something that can handle these database programs effectively preferably using MS technology such as .Net.

But when I upgraded to VS2008 the utility can no longer locate files in the active system folder. I have UAC turned off and am logged in as the Administrator and it still can not locate a file that I can see in Windows Explorer. The file I am looking for is PakMgr.exe.

When I started to install the application to computers at the office, I realized that, in some machines, application doesn�t work properly. Although it worked for 15 computers perfectly, for 3 computers following error code is displayed:

I would like to be able to get the x-coordinate from a mouse click on the chart in such a way that the user would be able to place vertical annotations on the chart at the location of the click. I looked at the Chart.HitTest function, but that will only do what I need if the user clicks on a data point, not anywhere in the chart area.
