VS 2008 Database To A Program Array?

I have a program that creates an array of part numbers. I also have a database that holds part numbers and all associated information I need for other calculations. How can I search an MSAccess database table against all of the part numbers in the array? The Array will never have more than 100 items in it, the table has over 7000 records to search from. I've posted my nonworking code hoping someone can point me in the tight direction.

I'm trying to put together a quick program for our database, I haven't touched VB since vb6, and we have 2008 .NET now. my question.
Ideally I'd like to make an array which can hold multiple values...such as
Job[job#].joblocation
Job[job#].jobsupervisor
So there would be a Job array, and then different values contained within that. I can't seem to make an object or whatever which allows me to hold different variables inside it.

I have a byte array of a file and I need to save it into my database in a field that has been set aside of type image.
However I have a problem my data access class takes a sql string and commits it to the database for example.
"EXECUTE stored proc @parm1, @parm2, @parm3"
However the problem is I cannot figure out how to transfer the byte array to string so that I can add it as an argument.
I hope this make sense.
I also understand that I can build parameters in com objects but I do not want to do this as it will disrupt my whole data access class and I am not prepared to do this at the moment.

I'm trying to write a program to call Quickbase and retrieve a database and put it into an array. It's a contacts table that I need to be able to query and select different fields according to letterheads, memos, etc. I've tried to do this three different ways.
1.) Find a direct port or some way of accessing Quickbase directly, similar to connecting to an oracle database or MS Access.
2.) Export the table to MS Excel and read the data from a spreadsheet.
3.) Opening a web browser in a background processes and login to the Quickbase account, then navigate using the little XML knowledge that I have.
I just can't find a good way to do this. Any ideas or can give some help on the code to do any of the ideas?

I've got a program I'm working on and I've been entering all the data manually but want to move it to a database.I've constructed the database and have it in the program but cannot get access to the individual cells so that I can use them in computing the results..I have a database named DFTL.mdb with a couple tables, including one query that I'm trying to get data from. The query has 10 records each with 5 unique numbers that attatch to the records.I've tried every way I can think of of pulling this data so I can use it in my program.

I want to create an array of constant variables for my program. But from everything I read about arrays they are handled by a number. I want to be able to pass back a variable that will hold the name of the constant as well as the value. How would you go about do that.I want to when I type the variable to have the constant name show up as I am typing.

I have to write a program for a user to take a 20 question test (A, B, C, D). The users answers will be stored in an array and compared with a 2nd array that has the correct answers. Its then supposed to go to a 2nd form when you click show score, grade it, and display whether each answer was right or wrong. I'm missing something easy probably.

How to create a database using sql in vb 2008. Creating a database as in make it a valid one. I'm actually trying to develop a program. I've got everything in mind it's just that the database that i'm lacking and i am wondering if there's any idea to create it inside vb.net.
p.s. I know how to link. I just need the information to create the database from the scratch using SQL.

I am trying to create a program that the user enters the number of enrollments for 5 different campuses during two semesters. I just got started and here is what I have so far but when I run the program it is stuck in an infinite loop and will not go to the next function. I am not sure how to end the loop.

I have a program that will compare an array of grocery list items glist and an array of coupon item clist.When I compare the two and if there is a match somewhere in the array I want to have a picturebox visible.When there is no match, I want the picture box not to be visible. [code] The code seems to work great until I come to the else statement.When the code finds a match it displays the picture box and the msgbox without error, but as soon as the message box is cleared, even though i've input it as an ELSE statement, the picturebox goes false again.Does anyone have any idea of how I can "hold" the picturebox to stay visible while the match between the arrays exists?

I am creating a very simple Voting System, that will be use on electing new set of officer in a teacher cooperative...
So I have to create two separate program, a Server Program that will manage all the information in the election and a Client Program where voters will vote their selected candidate...
The election officers wanted that the Server Program will display the Voting Results at real time... So when the Voter finished voting, The Voting Result displayed by the Server Program will also be updated every time the Client Program Insert the data to Database....
An action listener in Server Program that will execute if new data is inserted in a Table in the Database made by the Client Program...

I have a program where a lot of the required information for it is stored in text files. I simply read this information into large arrays. However, I don't think it's necessary to load all the information each time. Rather, it would be more efficient if I could simply search through a list of items to find the one I need and then use the data from it, or to find a similar name and use it elsewhere.
Would I be right in using a database? And is database programming done in SQL? I have a book on it telling me to use the SQL Server (IIRC), so I shouldn't be doing it in the VB.NET Express GUI?
Here's an example of what I would do:
Hex = 03 00 => dex number 003
Search in file Pokemon Dex Numbers
003 returns Bulbasaur
Check Bulbasaur base stats in the base stats file
etc
So basically I'm reusing a lot of information. I think a database would be best and it would all be internal right? I'm getting complaints about access denied to a text file (since it's stored in the program directory in the program files).
So to cap up the few questions I have:
-Databases are done in SQL and not inside the GUI?
-Databases would load internally?
-I could search a database without having to load it into like an array or something?

This program is very difficult for me, but I must get threw it or I cannot finish... What I am doing is making a Database of foreign Languages with the spelling of the words and the pronounciation inside the database... The USER enters a paragraph of words into the translator textbox and pushed translate. The program has a DATABANK of words with the phonetic spellings and matches the word, then translates to phonetics. The problem is that new words keep appearing inside the language. i have a application that i designed for an assignment which uses a DB (ACCESS) However when i publish the application it fails to load even though the application completes. I have managed to find that it is the database that is not copying over, how do i solve this (the db is located when debugging and is also in the project files)

before re-inventing the wheel, i want to ask you how i can do this best: I have a VB.Net application that uses a database connection to MS SQL Server 2005 (express version). There are users that input data with the application into the database lets say once to 2x an hour to once a minute. I want to do backups like this: Once a day or once a week (in the evening) a full backup, and whenever the program/user is idle for lets say 10 Minutes, i want to do an incremental backup (so that it does not take so long until he can work on after the backup).
There are no big security issues, just copying the backup data files to a network share / a different computer or server would be fine. i guess the average db size may be 300MB, but the daily increments about 1MB.
