I am trying to save data to my table but i am getting a error message.Here is the code. It tells me a parameter is missing. The amount of fields in the table is the same as the fields i am inserting into.

I do not have a lot of experience in vb.net, but I am trying to use OleDB to insert a record with String,string,Yes/no(studentname, number, gender). However when I insert it , there's a exception raised stating that I have invalid syntax for the "insert into" query. I could not spot the error.

I am a beginning programmer and am having a problem with adding a record to a customer table in a Microsoft Access database. I have worked for hours reading my textbook and troubleshooting to no avail. When I execute this code below the record is not added and I do not get an error of any type. When I go into debug mode, all of the parameters are correct and everything looks good. If I open up Access I can manually add the record but using my program nothing happens. All datatypes are string in VS and text in Access.
First an instance of the Customer Class is created and this seems to be successful. But when I take that customer object and run the AddCustomer method of the customer class it is not successful in that the database does not reflect that the record was ever added. [Code]

I've got a problem whereby I get Permission Denied while accessing a database via OleDB. I know how to unlock this but i'm not permitted to do so. I was wondering if ODBC would work? I'm not sure on the settings around this on my the PC where I'm going to use this application but wonder if this has less security around it. your thoughts until I can test this next week. User need to select their prefferable data to show in report. What i did is i have a clear command first to delete the temporary table. The temporary table is basically a table to stored user selection parameter data. After the clear command, i have
a insert command to insert user selection data into the temporary table. What happened now is when i run the program exe, first run of the report is work fined, but not the second and the following times of execution. It will return null or blank report. The weird thing is when i execute it from development environment, it seem like the report is able to pick up user selection parameter and run the report for the first times and the subsequent execution.

I imported an app from vb6 to vb.net It works fine. It has one axmsflexgrid control. Now I want to add another axmsflexgrid control in the same app. I tried to copy and paste from one frame (groupbox) to another and got this error:

I've been using SQL OleDB commands to grab data from some excel files and it's working well, but I'm having a really hard time finding a good resource for the actual command strings on the web. I figure I must not be using the proper terminology in my searches. Take this line:
