how to grab specific text from a webpage and put it into variables. In below html source, the text marked blue identifies the correct lines, while the the numbers inside the "NOBR" tags are what I want to get.

I've made a simple webbrowser and now i want to be able to modify the text in a webpage. In the webpage source code I have something like this <td class="res">Hello</td> and I want to replace Hello with Hi, so people see Hi on their screen instead of Hello. How can I accomplish this?

I want to read all the text from a webpage to begin with , then after 30 seconds i want it to read it again and if any text has changed have my program do something. But when i read all the text i want my program to save it and every 30 seconds if the text has changed again do something else do nothing.

I wanted to ask you something which is bugging me for a while. I work an IT dept at a local bank and I got instructions to make an application which should retrieve some financial info from a financial banking stats page.
The webpage can be accessed through [URL].. and the info can be seen in the web browser but I cannot extract them because the info is not available in the source code of the page.It seems it's generating the info dynamically using a jsquery.js file.
I was wondering if it's possible to make an app which uses some cache or something (I guess the the page is saved temporary somewhere on the disk for the current session) to retrieve that data in vb.net?

1.Firstly i am using a web browser control and i wish to get the URL of the current page and write it to a text box and to a text file.
2.I would also like to read the text file back and make some sort of bookmarking menu but dont really know where to start.
3.Is it possible to shrink the text size on a webpage through the browser control some sites the text looks huge.

I have column with bit datatype in sql server table(2008).while returing to text box its returning true in text box instead of 1.i tried converting it from true to 1 using txtboolvalue.text=Math.abs(CINT(ReturnList.Item(34)).tostring. But it doesnt convert true to 1
Secondly: im checking for columns in datatable if there are any nulls. its checking for nulls in the sqlserver table but its returning true if there is a null.i just want it to return NULL is there is null i textbox..

I have a VB project that reads data from SQL as well as pulls data from other files into SQL. I need to import a text file into SQL table; there is no headers in the file and table in SQL is already exists. I found a code in Forum and slightly modified it, but I'm still missing something. I'm not sure how to specify that the text file is delimited with "|" character? Also - since there is no headers - not sure how to import it into correct columns? On the code below I'm getting "Insert" syntax error; on prior version of the code I was getting "field F1 doesn't exist".

I am trying to display in my richtextbox1 a text from a table in my database according to some conditions that I decide by filtering. I worte a code for this but I think I am making a mistake because it gives errors all the time with Richtextbox (it does not accept datasource). Could you please help me on this?

I need to grab some data from a webpage but for me the main problem is I can't grab the data the way I want. I want to grab the data in a listview control but my code is fetching all data within any span tag (span class "inputFieldLabel" which is not required) in a single column of a listview control. Is it possible to take certain text from a web page and paste it into a Rich Text Box in Visual Basic? I'm going to use this http://google.com/complete/search?output=toolbar&q=mlb to generate a bunch of keywords and I want to highlight just the keyword paste it into the Rich Text Box. How can I do this? Also a better way to describe this is almost scraping the keywords through all that code and putting them into the richtextbox.

I have a database with a table that is a child to many other tables. I am using this child table as a datasource for a datagridview. I am using comboboxes to display specific fields in any parent tables, instead of the user seeing the foreign key. Everything is fine. However, I would like to filter the BindingSource based on text matches between any of the fields in the child table and the corresponding fields of the parent tables.

I have a login form that consists of 2 text boxes: txtUser, txtPass. Now these are not bound to any data table & I don't what them to be bound. When a new user enters his user name & password, I want to add these on a data table that has two columns: User, Pass.
