I have wondered the solution to this question for many years! I doubt if anyone else knows much about it because the internet is absolutely zero help in this!
I have made a form1 with a webbrowser control on it. When the program is run it brings up the homepage (which is Google). However the homepage doesn't seem to fit inside the webbrowser control.
So I am hoping that someone could tell me how to make the (...I dunno how to ask this retarded question...) webpage fit completely (100%) inside the size of the webbrowser control. Meaning...I would like to see the entire webpage from the internet in the size of the webbrowser control. To fill the entire size (whatever size I want).
Etc... if my webbrowser ontrol is seh, set to 600px by 400px, how can I program this so when it brings up the homepage (or any other page), it fills the entire size of the webbrowser control? Without any scrollbars. How to make the contents from the web (or local) fill the size of the webbrowser - almost like a mini browser if you will.
I'm currently working on my personal html editor. i have it where i can preview the page in a webbrowser. on maximized screen i can see the entire page as is. is it possible to keep the webbapage viewed, as viewed maximizied, in a resized browser with this size: 201, 106.
i know i won't be able to read much of the text, i just want to see the page preview, image location, etc. just a browser with view zoom properties.

I am developing a VB.NET app which returns data to a DataGrid. Everything works correctly now except for one thing. I want all of the blank white space below my datagrid to not appear, so that users don't have to worry about scrolling down the page. Currently, it shows the DataGrid correctly, with a scrollbar and this grid takes up about half the height of my monitor. But then there is alot of empty white space below this grid. How can I remove that?
Here is the end of my ASPX file: <head> <title></title>
I am trying to load a webpage into a web browser control that has a login form on it. What I am wondering is how I would go about changing the username/password input values on that page thru program code. The html element ids are "username" and "password" respectively. I am using vb 2008. I have tried searching but am getting mixed results with asp.net which is not what I want.
I can create them using Ctrl+T(webbrowser controls and all) but after that I don't have any idea on how to control them(let's say I select the 5 tab and I don't know how to make that web browser control to navigate to a given webpage). I was thinking of creating an array of webbrowsers but I don;t know how that works.
I'm using a webbrowser control to access an e-mail account, once there I need to find out how many emails currently in the inbox, and it's contained within certain tags and letters, and only them. The tags & letters are:
Quote:
<em>Inbox <b>(Email number)</b></em>
So i need to get what's inside the brackets, which also has tags and inbox.Only way I can see of getting that is regex? - Which I've rarely used.
I trying to make a Web-based application (browser). And when a word comes up, a MsgBox should appear, where it says ("We found your text") or something.[code]...
I have a webbrowser1 control that navigates via Textbox1.text (W/multiplelines) and set on a Timer1 (every .25 seconds). My issue is that I need to navigate to at least 1200-1500 urls before Timer1.stop (), but my webbrowser1 seems to only make it to 200-500 max, before I get an error saying that my program is "Not Responding" and freezes.
The actual problem is when I go to a web page and click an internal link or use the back or forward button it only shows whatever the last webpage I keyed in and not the actual page I'm on.
Public Class Form1 Private Sub Panel1_Paint(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.Windows.Forms.PaintEventArgs)
I would like for my program to navigate via textbox1.text with multiple lines and multiple url links inside of it. I know how to make the webbrowser1.navigate via textbox1.text with multiple lines, however I want my webbrowser to navigate to each url every 1-1.5 seconds once button1 is clicked. Yes, my webbrowser1 will navigate to the specified urls via the textbox1.text (multilines) with a button click, but I need the webbrowser1 to navigate in a order sequence from top to bottom of Textbox1.text (multiplelines) every 1 second. Here is the current code that I have to navigate via multilined textbox1.text control in order sequence:
I have been searching a lot online but couldn't find a solution for my problem. I want it to refresh every certain interval of time without this message to display. Now Ican't minimize my program because I'm putting an automatic Sendkeys.send("{Enter}") after the refresh to get rid of that message by clicking on "Retry".And If I minimize it the Enter will be executed on the active Window, which might be any other Window.
I hope that you understand what I mean, If not, I will clarify more.
I was bored and decided to write a small program around the built in web browser control in VB2008 because all my other browsers eat up more ram than i like xDbut one thing i can not figure out is how to get the URL from the web browser control to enter into a text box (the address bar).I have tried using Private URL As String URL = WebBrowser1.UrlBut i keep getting this errorValue of type 'System.Uri' cannot be converted to 'String'Help?
In my app I am using a web browser control, I am displaying a list of files that are there in selected Directory, when the file type is of some image I do it as WebBrowser1.Navigate(sFileName), the image is then displayed in the Web Browser Control, when there is Word Doc I had code that converts the word doc to HTML and it is displayed in the WB Control all good so far, now when the file is of type xls, xlsx I am not converting the file to HTML instead I just use the navigate command and open the file in Excel so that user can then edit it and save it on his system. Now the problem is lets say I am toggling through pages in Directory first file is Image so it will be displayed next when it is Excel file then it will open the file in MS Excel but the WebBrowser COntrol has that previously opened image, I want to clear that when the excel file is opened. So here is what I tried. [code]It navigates to Excel file but does not display text and the image from previous file persists in the web browser control.I even tried to navigate it to "about:blank" but it then does not navigate to Excel file.
I'm using VB.net 2005 to code an application that will be a used as a "digital sign" to report factory production levels and will be displayed on a 55 inch wide screen LCD TV/display. So I am putting my controls in a TableLayoutPanel control so they will expand to use the whole TV screen and can be view from a distance. (I have my FormBorderStyle = None and WindowState = Maximized.) My Form is set to AutoSize = True and AutoSizeMode = GrowOnly. My TableLayoutPanel AutoSize = True, AutoSizeMode = GrowOnly, and Dock = Fill. I'm using Label controls to display the text on the display and they are set to AutoSize = False and Dock = Fill. When I run the app. the Gauge control expands on my 19" monitor like it should, but none of the Label Text expand. How do I get the Labels to enlarge / Fill there area? Is that not possible?
