I was bored and decided to write a small program around the built in web browser control in VB2008 because all my other browsers eat up more ram than i like xDbut one thing i can not figure out is how to get the URL from the web browser control to enter into a text box (the address bar).I have tried using Private URL As String URL = WebBrowser1.UrlBut i keep getting this errorValue of type 'System.Uri' cannot be converted to 'String'Help?

I'm using a webbrowser control to access an e-mail account, once there I need to find out how many emails currently in the inbox, and it's contained within certain tags and letters, and only them.The tags & letters are:

In my app I am using a web browser control, I am displaying a list of files that are there in selected Directory, when the file type is of some image I do it as WebBrowser1.Navigate(sFileName), the image is then displayed in the Web Browser Control, when there is Word Doc I had code that converts the word doc to HTML and it is displayed in the WB Control all good so far, now when the file is of type xls, xlsx I am not converting the file to HTML instead I just use the navigate command and open the file in Excel so that user can then edit it and save it on his system. Now the problem is lets say I am toggling through pages in Directory first file is Image so it will be displayed next when it is Excel file then it will open the file in MS Excel but the WebBrowser COntrol has that previously opened image, I want to clear that when the excel file is opened. So here is what I tried. [code]It navigates to Excel file but does not display text and the image from previous file persists in the web browser control.I even tried to navigate it to "about:blank" but it then does not navigate to Excel file.

I have a webbrowser1 control that navigates via Textbox1.text (W/multiplelines) and set on a Timer1 (every .25 seconds).My issue is that I need to navigate to at least 1200-1500 urls before Timer1.stop (), but my webbrowser1 seems to only make it to 200-500 max, before I get an error saying that my program is "Not Responding" and freezes.

I have to create a form that I enter the price of gas each month over a year. I enter the price in a text box and click the enter button to send the price to a list box immediatley and use an array. I have the following code but I don't think it's working with the array correctly as it will let me enter the information but doesn't stop letting me enter after the 12 prices. I am really having a hard time trying to figure out how to set up this input for an array and make it all work.

I am trying to use the Web Browser control in my vb .net user control. I am using VS 2008. Finally, I will be calling my assembly (.dll) from a web page. I wanted to display the usercontrol with the web browser control inside this web page. The problem is I cannot proceed since the Web browser control cannot be called from a partially trusted assembly. Using VS 2008 I have created a strong name for my class, also added the <Assembly: AllowPartiallyTrustedCallers()> to the AssemblyInfo. But still the web browser control cannot be seen in my web page. Do you how I can make my assembly fully trusted so that it can access web browser control? If you have used web browser control, can you confirm if this step is really required?!

I would like for my program to navigate via textbox1.text with multiple lines and multiple url links inside of it. I know how to make the webbrowser1.navigate via textbox1.text with multiple lines, however I want my webbrowser to navigate to each url every 1-1.5 seconds once button1 is clicked. I created Dataentry forms. In the form there are so many controls like DropDowns and textboxes. I am using Access database. Now I enterd the few records into the controls, and these records are saved into the Database. But now if i enter the any data which i recently saved in the database to the textbox or any other control then the remaining controls should be display the related data.
For example i have 4 controls in my form one is dropdown and 3 are textboxes. If i select the data in the dropdown then the remaining 3 textboxes shows the related data. How can i dispaly the corresponding data to the other controls?

I'm trying to get the 'Enter' key to behave like the tab key in a combobox control. I've placed the following code in the keypress event: If e.KeyChar = ToChar(Keys.Enter) Then NextTextBox.Focus()End If When ran, nothing happens. I've placed a break point at the 'private sub' line, and the code is not breaking. What am I doing wrong?

way to "reset" a tooltip, so you don't have to leave and re-enter a control to make it pop? I have a form that is pretty much entirely taken up by one control. I want to have its ToolTip text change based on which region of the control is being hovered over (which I can do now). I just have to leave the control and re-enter it to make it pop. I'd like to have the Tooltip pop, then if I move the mouse to a different location (still inside the control's bounds) have it pop-able again in the new spot.

I would like to make the Tab movement can also pressing the "Enter" Key. I have google and found the code which possible to used. But I found its not running fine with me. When I press "Enter" key,it runs fine for the tab movement. But if I put something into my textbox,it only allowed me to put 1 character and it will move next. Because the Textbox 2 can able to put in any kind of numbers. But after add in the code that allowed "Enter" key move the Tabindex,it will move to the next tab index after I lick 1 character.

I am new to vb 2008, but I know how to automate some html elements. The issuse that I running into is that I cannot get my webbrowser1 to auto-click the "Gmail" button at the top left of the page or the "Show me my account" button on the righthand side of the webpage. We have a multi-line control that we are attempting to prevent the Enter/Return key from being used to create a new line.Strangely enough, "AcceptsReturn" as False does not prevent this.So we added the following:
