VS 2008 Moving Folder Contents And Having A Progress Bar?

OK, so the code in this link: [URL]
allowed me to get a progress bar. It sums up the size of all the files in the folder and then moves them and as it writes them, it determines how much has been written of the total, and sends that to a progress bar.
Now, what I'm wanting to determine is the best way to do subfolders (an subfolders of subfolders, etc).
Would it be stupid/smart to get a list of the folder structure in a particular folder, then recreate that structure, then get a list of all the files and then use the code in the above thread to recreate those files in their respective folders?
I am making a rather simple backup utility that takes one folder and moves it to another and I'm just trying to figure out the most logical or "accepted" way of handling folders when at the same time, you need to have a total of all the size of all the files being moved so you can display an accurate progress bar.
how to move a single file to a new location. Can you move the contents of an entire folder to a new location (Lets say... inside another folder)?
Here is my code for moving a file to a new location. As you might see, this is how it works. You first select a file. Then you type in the driver (C, D, E) where your 'TEST' folder is located. Then you click another button and bam! File is loaded into the TEST folder.

I was moving files to a new folder when I realized some of the files were in the same folder and thought "Wouldn't it be grand to be able to just move the contents of this folder into the new without doing it one file at a time?"
I want to move a viriable content from one form to the other . and like wise. Lets see now here is the startup form. A form that will display the contents of a folder? I have my forms set up, I want the user to then click on a button that will load up a nw form which will contain a window that is a folder in one of my drives. There may be folders inside this main folder which the user can go into, but they can't go back frrom the original main folder and look at the other contents. First up, Is an explorer form the one I am looking for? Making one of those, it seems to be the right path but where to from there?
Another thing I need to be able to do is have the user double click on the files inside of the folder. When double clicked the folder still maintains its current state, as the files that will be clicked will do the work in the background. I have all the forms set up and linked together, I just need to know how to get this folder into a form..
2008 Is there a way to keep a progress bar moving in a VB .Net windows application during long database calls (SQL Server - 10 seconds or so)? I tried a status strip progress bar running in matrix mode and a System.ComponentModel.BackgroundWorker running a progress bar but when the SQL call to a stored procedure is made they both freeze.

is there any way to move a contact or apointment item from a file (ie C: est) to a MAPI folder? The way I have it set up now I can save all the items from the outlook MAPI folder into the file, but I can't retrieve them. I've tried my.computer. filesystem. copyfile, but there seems to be no way of feeding it the mapi folder as a string it can understand. I've tried to see if I could open the .msg from the file as any format I could think of, and then saving it. No luck there. I've searched extensively, too, though I'm not sure I was using the correct terms.
My end goal is to make a folder on a shared drive that other users can go to and look at a list of contacts and or calendar items, then possibly upload them into their own contacts/calendars. I've even tried taking all the relevent data out of them and putting it into a text file, then uploading it to outlook. I got that working well enough, but it seems so convoluted, and is far from robust. It seems like it should be easy to just copy them over, since you can just click and drag them on the UI, but I haven't had any luck

I include a javascript include folder in the root directory of my setup project in the Application Folder. I tried to move the javascript include file under the Javascript folder and I now get:

I can delete the the directory and then add the files one by one but their are over 200 files in that include directory. Is their an easy way to move a folder in the application folder of the file system view of a setup program?

I am using vb.net with visual studio 2008. I have the need to have a user select a directory on a network drive to bring up a folder with a very extensive list of files. The file names within this directory are what I'm concerned with and I will need to write all these file names to a textfile in order to do a comparison with an existing text file. I'm trying to get a progress bar to work while it copies all files in a folder to another. I've gotten the progress bar to show and display the progress, but during the copying process the app stops displaying anything if I click away and won't display anything until it finishes copying everything. It just freezes with a ghost image in the form while it's copying. How do I prevent the app from freezing during the copying process? I can't even minimize it or move the window around. I hope I made sense. Here's my code.

I know the line TextBox1.Text = FolderBrowserDialog1.SelectedPath is not what I want to be doing, but thats the only thing I can get to work, but that just displays the folder path obviously. What I want is to display the contents of the selected folder into TextBox1
Is it possible for a webpage to popup a open folder dialog, ask the user to select a folder, then show the contents of that folder in a list(or something) in the webpage. It won't write to the files, only read them. The webpage is hosted remotely.

i am creating an app that will display the contents of a folder containing hundreds of other folders. these folders are in the following format <Movie.Name>[<Year>]i am trying to create a function that will filter out the years i.e. if i wish to search for movies from 2009 i could use the code 'FilterMovies("2009")' etc... and remove/hide the others.
Instead of creating a listbox to hold the names of one's favorites, I've made it so when you add a bookmark it adds it under the directory (yourusername)/bookmarks. (yourusername) is represented by login.usernametextbox.text. Now I've added a filelistbox to the form and want it to display the contents of the bookmarks folder only without the file name extensions. Just the title. Then when a user clicks on the title it navigates to that specified file by opening a new instance of a browser form. Here's what I have so far:
