My problem is that I cannot get it to build in VB.Net 2010 Express Edition. I created a new project with the standard form1.vb. I then added the reference to ribbon dll. But I get errors when trying to build the app. I have attached a screenshot with the error.

View 3 RepliesIm having a problem with my program which was coded in VB.net 2005. My pc is windows XP with MS Office 2003. My program works fine for users with 2003 Office but has errors on users with 2000 Office. I was able to downgrade my pc to Office 2000 so my program would reference to MS office 9.0 (2000). This proved to be successful since both 2000 and 2003 users can now print properly. The problem now is my development pc cant create any word.application ...

I am looking for some (preferable vb.net) code to use in an asp.net application that will allow me/my users to setup calendars (that I store in SQL server db).
I am looking for something that will make it easy to schedule recurring appts (i.e. every monday, every other week on thursday at 9AM, every month,1st and 3rd tuesday, every year etc) with as many possible scenarios as possible.
I can automate most of the easy ones via a few screens, but inevitably my users come up with scenarios that require me to code and execute some custom scripts in SQL to make the entries, and I'd really like to offload this to the users.

View 3 RepliesI have created a DLL that contains basic functions used in my projects. With the DLL I:Compiled it as a Release Moved the .dll file to another folder Deleted the .pdb files in the binRelease folder When I add the reference of this DLL to my projects and I debug my code, I step through line-by-line and when it comes to a function from my DLL, it actually opens up the source files of my DLL and debugs line-by-line in the DLL source code.
This is REALLY annoying for my purposes and I have tried many things now to disable the debugger stepping into my DLL code. I did a text search in the DLL file and found it stores the path of the project folder.
So far the only thing that's worked is moving/renaming the folder where the DLL project source files are. But everytime I re-build the DLL, once again I would have to move/rename the folder again as it's updated the location of the source.

View 3 RepliesI don't know what this is called so I've struggled to find an answer from google but I have a vague memory of it from t'old days.I've sub-classed (* see below) about 8 framework controls, overriden some properties and added some functionality into each one.The changes I have made are identical in every case. If I make a change, I have to go through each class and apply the same change there.I was hoping there may be a keyword such as <IncludeSourcefile "common.vb> that I can put into each class.
(* note) I use the term sub-classed but I don't know if that's the correct terminology. I've also seen it used for call-backs. Is sub-classed the correct term to use?

I found a nice source code for enumerating running application window and child window with several APIs in VB6. But when I convert this source code to vb2008 it doestn't work. Is there anybody to convert this source code attached to VB 2008 version.It will teach all of the newbies some nice ways to upgrade their other source codes to VB2008.
