Ok so i am currently working on a magic square game and basically my form creates an 2d array, dimensions make by user(ex:2 by 2), then the form creates the number of textboxes(Ex:4) and i need to get the values in runtime to check if it is a magic square

View 6 RepliesI just recently started getting an index out of bounds error on one of my arrays at runtime. I was not having this issue previously. It only seems to happen when several items are added to a listbox.
Here is my declaration and code.

i have a list of byte array,s what i want to do is search for a element, replace that element ,add one more element after first element.
ex for element 7D i want to add 5d after . and for element 7E i want it to replaced it by 7D and need 5E after.
I wanted to simply on click a button to add those newly created textboxes to an array of textboxes. Starting with those labeled "Address". But I am finding this very difficult. I am able to add those originally on the form into the array very easily. But am unable to add the newly created textboxes into the array.

Is it possible to have a Textbox on a form that when the user inputs data, ( during Runtime )that data remains in the Textbox for good and the Textbox then becomes read only ? Is it also possible to make it so that the CD with the programme on, is in the PC when the programme is being used. Perhaps writing the Textbox data back onto the CD ?

I need to sum the values of each textbox, but only if there is a value in it. I have error checking elsewhere so that isn't the issue. It keeps giving me an error saying "Object reference not set to an instance of an object."
I am new to VB. Started making a software. What I want is when a user click in PictureBox he should be able to create a textbox (Read Only) at X, Y coordiantes of picture box. View 2 RepliesThe textbox that I create in vb.net does not let me select all the text using the common keystroke control + a at runtime. The textbox is able to detect all other keystroke combinations at runtime, such as control + c, control + v for cut and paste, but it does nothing for when the keystroke control + a is pressed. Is this something that vb.net textboxes do not detect and therefore I would have to program manually by having the program detect keystrokes and then have the program select the text using the code TextBox1.SelectAll() ?
View 1 RepliesI am new in programming. And I am coding with VB.Net (VB2008). On my form I have 9 checkboxes. And each of this checkbox when checked is meant to submit a value to a dynamic array. Initially the array was a constant that was declared like these:
Dim Notes() AS integer = {1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 200, 500, 1000}
But I want the array to be dynamic. That is the user of the program is to enter the element of the array. So I decided to use checkboxes. So that if the user of the program checks any of the checkboxes, a particular value or element should be submitted into the array. And the user should be able to check as many checkboxes and have values representing those checkboxes submitted in to the array.
For example: if the user check checkbox1, checkbox2 and checkbox50.
The array should look like these. { 1, 2, 50 }
or if the user check checkbox1000, checkbox200, checkbox10 and checkbox500
Then the array should hold or contain the following integers in this order; {20, 200, 500, 1000}.
That is the array is dynamic and the content/elements of the array and the bound of the array should depend on the checkboxes that is checked. What other means can I used to enter values/elements into a dynamic array during run time.

View 2 RepliesI have a lot of control array textboxes called txt(1) to txt(320) on form2. I have a textbox1 on form1 with a click evet that says textbox1.text= form2.txt(1).text but it gives an error (txt is not a member of form2). I tried disabling option explicit, option strick and option infer. Still won't work. My code is to long for this place maybe a short version osf the code. Do I need to make a Public MyArray(15,15,15,15) as string, in the Module1 then copy txt(n).text to the array or is there a way to access txt(n).
