VS 2008 - Show Buttons In A Region?
Jul 26, 2010
I have a Rectangle (the class) that I'm using to define a region on a form and when the mouse enters that region it shows 2 buttons (which are on the form and within the bounds of the rectangle) and I would like the buttons to remain visible when the mouse is over either of the 2 buttons then when the mouse leaves the region or leaves the form they are set to invisible again. Here's the code I have so far:
[code]....
The problem is when the mouse enters the bounds of the button, the form's MouseLeave event fires and thus my buttons are hidden which means the user can't click either of them either.

I have 7 Windows forms.The order of the forms is defined within a configuration file.I want to place buttons on each form that will show the next available options.The Next button will move the next form in the list.The Back button will move to the previous form in the list. The Finish button will execute the final piece of code.The Cancel button will exit the application.If the user is on the first form, then there is no Back button.If the user is on the last form, then there is no Next button, but there is a Finish button.
Example 1:
Form1 - Next, Cancel
Form3 - Next, Back, Cancel[code]....

I have a form with two group boxes. The first one has two radio buttons and the second has four. The user chooses one button from the first group box and one button from the second which gives me eight selections and I would like a different picture for each selection.

I made a form with only 1 Button. I want that when i click that button, 2 more buttons should be appeared. Example: Button1 is clicked. Button2 and Button3 are displayed. I have named Button1 as Scan. When i click on Scan, the Button2(Pause) and Button3(Stop) should be displayed. When it is scanning, i have placed the progress bar with the timer. When the progress bar finishes loading, Button2(Pause) and Button3(Stop) should be hidden again.

I have two buttons: show button and next button. I want the show button to show the first result and then for every click of the next button, I want to go the the next result. I did this code for the show button:
cmd.Parameters.AddWithValue("@sex", TextBox4.Text)
dr = cmd.ExecuteScalar
If dr.HasRows Then
While (dr.Read)
TextBox1.Text = dr(0)
[Code] .....
Now the number of rows returned is 5. But on clicking the show button I can see only the last row in the textbox's. Then how to see the first row by clicking the show button? And how to see all rows one after another by clicking the next button? I need to use:
dr.NextResult()
to loop through the fetched data. But I cant place it properly in the next button code. How to do the code for show and next button to get the desired result?

I am creating an application for Windows Mobile 6 in Visual Studio 2005. I have a TabStrip on the main form. There are 2 buttons i want at the top of the tab strip, but i don't want them to be part of it. I need the same buttons to show when the tabs change. I used to use the ZOrder function or Parent function but can't see how to do it in the new version. Any ideas?

I searched for this topic and all the examples are in C# (and they have errors as they will not convert with a C# to VB converter). I am using VB.net 2005 and would like a sample that work for it. I have a loop that goes thru the DataGridView and changes the row color based on a column/cell value from the binded DataTable (shown below). I'd like to add to the loop (where the comment is) and also hide the button for this cell and let the "In Process" show in the cell instead.
Private Sub ColorInProcessItems()
' Color the rows green if they are In Process, red if they are Complete
For Each row As DataGridViewRow In dgvQueue.Rows
[code]....

after many weeks of annoying compatibility with windows xp, I realized that I should change the .netbar buttons to standard windows buttons. When I did this, and put the button on the transparency area and then debugged the application. I found out that the transparency add-in made the text inside the button transparent: How can I make the text show just the color, not transparent?

I have a piece of software with two tabs, inside each tab there are buttons (the user can add the buttons when they want). when tab1 is full tab2 should start to fill. I currently know how many buttons fit on the screen so I just say something like if buttons > 150 then start to populate tab 2 The problem i have now though is if the resolution is changed then a different amount of buttons can be displayed. so if I put my screen to 1280x720 some buttons are left of. I was thinking of detecting the resolution and then using different cases for different resolutions but this seems very inefficient im wondering if there is a different way?

I have a custom-shaped form created by setting the Region to an image. I want to be able to highlight the edge of the form when it has focus. To do this I believe I need to get the outline of the form and convert it to a path so I can draw a two-pixel highlightaround the edge of the form.

Following my test project for making a map editor, I finally got the tile selection part covered.The application can already tell which tile(s) is selected.
So now we will work on "click the map and the tiles will be drawn" part.
When the user clicks the map, I need to "copy" a selected tiles in the tile selector, and "paste" them on the map. The process is a bit longer actually.Or is there a way to directly copy the selected tiles to the map image?

i have an image which has 2 colors, black and white.
i wish to get a region object that has all the white areas 'selected'
the shape is not just a polygon, its fairly shapeless
is this the best approach: create a region that is the size of the image and run a loop checking each individual pixel to see if its black, if it is then exclude it from the region. (i've got a feeling this will take very long to load)

Imagine you want to draw a regular shape such as a triangle, rectangle ... all the way up to say a 10 sided figure ( a decagon ) or more. I know that when we try lots of sides it looks closer and closer to a circle or an ellipse. The problem I am thinking of is placing smaller circles ( or ellipses ) at the correct positions near the points of that shape as shown for a triangle below.Here comes the question(s) How could we: a) Correctly place the circles ( or ellipses ) at the points so that the sides are at a tangent to them andb) Can we combine the REGIONs of these to produce a figure with rounded points so the light blue bits get excluded? I guess that to produce a method to deal with all the mathematics involved would be quite a complex task.Has anyway previously tackled doing this or know of any .Net tools I could use for this problem?
