Hide DataGridView Buttons Only For Certain Cells And Show The DataTable Column Value Instead?

I searched for this topic and all the examples are in C# (and they have errors as they will not convert with a C# to VB converter). I am using VB.net 2005 and would like a sample that work for it. I have a loop that goes thru the DataGridView and changes the row color based on a column/cell value from the binded DataTable (shown below). I'd like to add to the loop (where the comment is) and also hide the button for this cell and let the "In Process" show in the cell instead.

I made a form with only 1 Button. I want that when i click that button, 2 more buttons should be appeared. Example: Button1 is clicked. Button2 and Button3 are displayed. I have named Button1 as Scan. When i click on Scan, the Button2(Pause) and Button3(Stop) should be displayed. When it is scanning, i have placed the progress bar with the timer. When the progress bar finishes loading, Button2(Pause) and Button3(Stop) should be hidden again.
I would like to know how I can show and hide data based off of a value in a column.
Example. My table has 3 columns Name, Password, and Tel#

I placed my code in the rowprepaint event of the datagridview and on start up I get the results I am looking for. However, if the user selects the row or a cell in the row then the value will display.
I don't want the value to show even if the row is selected.
How do you loop through a name column in a DataGridView? What is the collection? The following below does not work.For each X in DataGridView.Columns("Name")Next
Is it possible to add a button column to a datagridview and then remove a select group of these from rows without removing the rows themselves? That is, I want the ability to hide or remove these buttons in certain rows after certain actions have occured. I realized that I could simply delete the rows with these buttons, but I want to keep the data in these rows visible without the user thinking they have to use the buttons. I am assuming that I can also disable the buton in the desired rows as well.
The code below updates all cells in a DataGridView column to a value from a textbox. This code works in that all cells in the desired column are updated on screen. The DGC is bound to a dataset. The problem is that when I call the dataset .Update method, sometimes the first row (row 0) does not get updated. I have run SQL profiler and can see that no SQL update command is submitted for the first row. The first row only gets skipped the first time the update is run after launching the app. Subsequent updates run for all rows, until the app is re-launched.
I have verified the row state is Unchanged with: Msgbox(DataGridView1.Rows(r).State.ToString).
The 2 commented lines below are other things I have tried that still cause the first row to be skipped.

I have a DataGridView with SelectionMode = "CellSelect". I do this because I want the user to be able to click the Column Header and drag the column to a different DisplayIndex. They move the column by clicking and holding down the left mouse button, then moving the column. I also want the user to be able to click the column header and all the cells in the column would be selected. But if I change the SelectionMode property to "FullColumnSelect" or "ColumnHeaderSelect" the user can no longer move the column.In the code below, I can select all the cells in the DataGridView just fine, but I can't select all cells in a particular Column or Row. I need a help with showing/hiding rows in datagridview by setting the trackbar value. The below example works if there are not too much rows. If there are greater number of rows then after you change a value of trackbar you must wait for a few seconds for the datagridview to redraw and only then you can use trackbar again.Apparently I must use multithreading to achieve what I want: when I use trackbar, datagridview starts to redraw, but if I use trackbar again before datagridview finishes redrawing, it immediately stops redrawing according to previous trackbar value and starts to redraw from the beginning according to current trackbar value. That way trackbar will never be frozzen (stuck, unusable...).I tried with backgroundworker but got error "Cross-thread operation not valid: Control '' accessed from a thread other than the thread it was created on." I have old and slow computer. If you have new and fast computer maybe you wont experience what I'm describing here so try to increase number of added rows in line 'For i As Integer = 1 To 5000' (I added 5000 rows here) - and if you have even older and slower computer than you will have to decrease this value or you will have to wait to long after you drag the thumb in trackbar.
I have 5 columns in my datagridview, I want the ability to hide them, depending on which checkboxes are ticked (I have 4 checkboxes). This can either be as soon as the checkbox changes state or after a button is clicked to reload the dataset/gridview.

Am using the Entity Framework and Columns Completed and Taken are of bit Datatype. When the query results are displayed in the datagridview, these bit columns are returned as of ColumnType Textbox - so i get a Datagridview textbox column with true or false string values.
I want to display Completed and Taken as Checkbox columns (either ticked for True or un-ticked for false) but ofcourse i can't do this in EditColumn dialogue because the Datagridview is unbound.

I'm curious if it is possible to hide a group of text boxes from view in a form until a particular condition is met, and to have a custom set of text boxes for that condition. To give an example; I want radio buttons offering choices for a manner of searching records, the user selects one and then a specific set of text boxes are displayed for the user to utilize, if a different option is chosen a different set of text boxes will be shown. Is this something that can be done?
I have a datagrid and set of collection of columns for the datagrid. I have added cloumnname and headertext using column collections in design time. I have made false of autogenerated column. I was unable to load the data in datagrid from datatable. If i remove the collection and add bind data in datagrid means working fine but not for the column collections.VB.net windows application.
I had a DataGridView that was bound to a Table in my typed DataSet. I recentyl added a new column to the table in the database and updated the table in the DataSet accordingly.Now, when I go to the DataGridView to update it, the new column does not appear under the "Databound column" list. I tried setting the data source to "None", then reselecting it. Still, it does not show the new column. I then deleted the DataGridView and re-added it to the form. Again, same result. i have a column item-code, inside my database which i have bound to a datagrid view. The item-code comes in this format "A-B-C", i wish only to show the "B" part of the code, i have bound this column to the gridview and now wish to make it show the substring. I have a table with many values inside of it that might have single quotes around them. I need to create a duplicate table without those single quotes. I can't modify the original table as I need to use it, 'as-is' later.
I've done this with a table.Clone and using a foreach to loop through the rows and columns removing single quotes as I need and then putting that new row into the new table. It works and it's straight forward.....but
I'd like to do the same thing using LINQ. This was my attempt....

I had trouble finding examples that weren't looking at a specific column in the DataRow. It looks like my code does pull back all the matching results - but I'm at a lose for how I can create a duplicate table/modify the values?
The only requirement is to not using a For Each; as I already know how to do that. I've gotten closer - but I still can't seem to create a new row or a new table.
My new approach hits a dead-end when I try to do this:

I'm trying to hide 5 to 12 buttons on a form until a screenshot is saved to the clipboard. I have it set right now so the user clicks a button(btnSavePDF) and then whichever buttons are visible are made not visible. But I haven't a clue how to restore just those buttons. I'm trying to avoid restoring them all unless they were all originally visible.
If i place 20 different buttons on my form, how can i hide them using the for each function or any other function instead of writing the following for each button[code].;..
