wheather it is a checkbox or not... and if the checkbox is null... then set it to false...

Mass Update All Cells Of A DataGridView Column?
Oct 29, 2011The code below updates all cells in a DataGridView column to a value from a textbox. This code works in that all cells in the desired column are updated on screen. The DGC is bound to a dataset. The problem is that when I call the dataset .Update method, sometimes the first row (row 0) does not get updated. I have run SQL profiler and can see that no SQL update command is submitted for the first row. The first row only gets skipped the first time the update is run after launching the app. Subsequent updates run for all rows, until the app is re-launched.
I have verified the row state is Unchanged with: Msgbox(DataGridView1.Rows(r).State.ToString).
The 2 commented lines below are other things I have tried that still cause the first row to be skipped.

Apr 2, 2012I have a DataGridView with SelectionMode = "CellSelect". I do this because I want the user to be able to click the Column Header and drag the column to a different DisplayIndex. They move the column by clicking and holding down the left mouse button, then moving the column. I also want the user to be able to click the column header and all the cells in the column would be selected. But if I change the SelectionMode property to "FullColumnSelect" or "ColumnHeaderSelect" the user can no longer move the column.In the code below, I can select all the cells in the DataGridView just fine, but I can't select all cells in a particular Column or Row. Oct 27, 2011I searched for this topic and all the examples are in C# (and they have errors as they will not convert with a C# to VB converter). I am using VB.net 2005 and would like a sample that work for it. I have a loop that goes thru the DataGridView and changes the row color based on a column/cell value from the binded DataTable (shown below). I'd like to add to the loop (where the comment is) and also hide the button for this cell and let the "In Process" show in the cell instead.

Depending on the "type" of my record, I would have different cells in the column "value" like a combobox or a simple textfield. and I don't really see how to do that programmatically... Everything works good except for one problem.I have two columns, Modified_By and Date_Modified that should be inserted or updated as the user and the current date, respectively. So every row in the DataGridView should have the same value for these two columns.So far, I have thought of two ways to get this working, but neither one seems very clean. The first idea is to make a custom Fill method that takes as parameters the user and the current date and then add them as extra columns in the select method. For example

I have a gridview loaded with two columns-one column(Name)is with some Text,another(Price) is empty.
I have got a TextBox with the data of Name and Price.

Here you go with an example.
if my dgv is filled with time values such as 3:42:10 AM 4:43:17 PM etc..I need to compare all the cell values to 5:00:00 PM. greater than condition. I need to highlight only the values which are greater than 5:00:00 PM but less than 3:30:00 AM.

Apr 29, 2010I'm current in college and working on some computing coursework and putting the finishing touches on it when i stumbled across a bit of a problem.I'm trying to compare two cells in a database and i use datagridview to display the database in my form. The database is created by sql commands within my actual program if that makes any difference. What i have created for my coursework is a program that manages the stock and such for a small music shop and in the stock table im trying to compare values in two different collumns, but in the same rows. I need it to display a message box in the event that the value in the one cell is less than the other, which is basically checking if the stock for a certain CD has fallen below the reorder level.
