VS 2008 Create A Mouse Over Information Box?

Ok so i'm having a problem with my software installer I wanted to search for a solution but I wasn't really sure how to put it I didn a little research but came up with nothing. I am trying to get a mouse over effect so that when the mouse is over a software name it will display a description of what the software is in the text box that I have setup. The red circle in the picture below would be the software that the mouse would be hovering over. and the green circle is where the description of the software would appear. I tried playing around with a couple different things in VB to see if I Could figure it out but came up with nothing.

If I put this code in the form, the mouse will be moved once. I want it to "freeze" the mouse at the point that its moved at. If I put code in timer (which it is now), the mouse will keep searching for the color, so the mouse moves around like crazy. How do I change my code so that it will "freeze" the mouse once it finds the color? [Code]

I have a Richtextbox and I would Like the user of the program to be able to drag and drog the richtextbox in other specified places in the program.

Firstly its very inaccurate. I want it so the Richtextbox moves with the mouse and not after the mouse. So I want a smooth drag and drog.
So I don't know if this is the wrong code for something that I want perfect like that.
Secondly I dont know if its possible but I would like it so the box can only be dropped in certain area's in my program and if there is a box already occupying that space, It goes back to where it was before.

I am trying to simulate a mouse click on a webBrowser at certain coords in the webBrowser WITHOUT using the persons mouse in any shape or form becuase I want to be able to run the program, minimize it and do other things whilst the program clicks in certain coords in a webBrowser.

I have defined a class which inherits PictureBox-component.In this class I have a mouseClick and mouseDoubleClick events overridden.On mouseClick the image is selected. Now if user click it again, it is delesected.The mouseDoubleClick event starts the video which this picture is pointing to.Now the problem is that when user doubleclicks the pictureBox it actually calls the mouseClick-event twice (select-deselect) and does not call the mouseDoubleClick-event. How can I define it so that if mouseclicks are done as doubleclicks then doubleClick-event is called, not the click event twice?

I have two custom action listers. One that handles Mouse.Click and one that handles Mouse.MouseDown. My question to you is, can I delay the mouse down event so that it does not intefere with the code of the Mouse.Click event? I have tried adding a timer and waiting x amount then setting a bool value to true, but the code executes to fast and it skips the other code.

I'm a beginner at programming so I'm going through the Clearly Visual Basic 2008 book. There is a problem that I'm doing called JM Sales Solution and I need to create a one dimensional array with the information given.
JM Sales employs 8 salespeople. The sales manager wants an application that allows him to enter a bonus rate. The application should use the rate, along with the 8 salespeople, in an array, to calculate each salesperson's bonus amount. The application should display each salesperson's number (1 through 8) and bonus amount. as well as the total bonus paid, in the interface.
I did the interface that's not a problem. My problem is the Create Report code. I had the program running and displaying but it didn't display all eight bonuses or the Bonus and Total Bonus paid at the end. I did some tweaking and now I can't even get it to run again. I have a program that I would like to create application-level MouseEnter and MouseLeave events for. Basically I have an app that I'd like to leave open that would be very opaque when not in use, and when the user moves the mouse anywhere within the bounds of the application, it becomes solid, and when they move their mouse away from the application, it becomes opaque again.
The obvious problem is that MouseEnter and MouseLeave are control-specific and so they fire every time you move over a button or menu or whatever, so Leave and Enter are constantly firing even though you haven't "left" or "entered" the application.
So, is there any way to create mouse events that only fire at the application level?

I create a mouse game for a single player. Set up a form with 4 rows of pictures boc controls. when a start button is clicked the mouse is "behind" one of the buttons while a stop image is behind 3 other picture boxes. The object of the game is to click the correct picturebox that contains the mouse. If the stop image appears before the mouse then the game is over. I don't understand how the logic works.

I am building a program using VS 2010.It needs to be a set of forms that allows a manager to log in so that data entry people can enter in data based on another form.I also need to create a hot key set up that pulls up another form so that a supervisor can pull up the information that employees have entered.I have my solution file that I can put up for a download if needs be to see what I'm talking about. I don't think it should be that hard to make this program work.

Must be non-negative and less than the size of the collection. Parameter name: index..I know I am getting the values passed from the Class since I can output it to a message box. I have been developing a calculator for complex math. (Much more complicated than +,-,/,*, and above your usual scientific calculator)Its works quite well .In past programs I have used "private functions". I know that you give them a value and it returns on back. But what if you dont want to recive or send value? My example for this is a function I am attempting to make called "Autopi".The idea of Autopi is that whenever a mathimatical operation is about to be performed textbox(s) are cheked to see if they contain pi. (3.14 or 3.141) If they test positive Autopi will continue pi to however many places have been specifyed in the program. (Currently 300 places just beacuse i can :) Before the Autopi function does this it chekes to see if variable "pi" = 1. If it does it proceeds if it doesent its job is done
How would I create a code that can be called apon to activate but not recive or send any information through the program.And just to clarify what I mean by that is it will read information out of a textbox and write into it. But it wont actualy recive anything or send anything back from where it was called apon.

Basically i am creating a console application that will create and store client information as a .txt file it is going okay but i have come across a slight hick up i want to use something on the lines of this .....

this works fine to trap out numbers from letters but the problem i am getting is when the program calls uppon LastName it is recording 0 and wanted to know if there is a way of getting past this ..... so basically i need a way to allow letter but not numbers and symbols and then dispay a pernolised error message but at the same time use Stream writer to save was the answer is in a .txt file.

The program is currently trying to pull information from three different database tables and compiling the information onto one screen, to do this i am using three different connections and a function to handle the data at each stage. The issue is as my code hits PageLoadStage of "2" and runs the QueryDatabase() Function i am encountering an error of: "OleDB exception unhandled: No value given for one or more of the required parameters." This occurs on line 15 of the first code snippet. Can anyone explain this and/or identify any code issues if that is the cause.

I was looking for some stuff online, and i was looking through my reference sheets for vb.net, but it seems in the code i have found, there is declare in methods. I have a text box where i am entering numbers of double datatype andon the Keytdown event of the textbox some checks take pace and in certain circumstances I want to be able to stop the user from entering other information until they enter the right information in the textbox (where it says right here) . now when I say exit sub the textbox somehow loses focus . but this is not how I want it to be I want the textbox to remain with the focus so the user can change the information . How can i go about this. And the other thing is why is my txtDestPayRate1.Focus() just befor the exit sub not working?
