i am creating a quiz which would be 20 questions for software design students and may use alot of code.my first problem is the score for the test, i know a friend of mine can add up the score but he cant move onto the next thread until you have got the question correct which is sort of cheating, i want to know how you create a variable and make that variable stay in all the forms and add up the score of correct and incorrect answers and come up with a final score for the user in the end.
I need your help to find the right pattern to extract a string that i need.. The problem is that i have to extract all there is between this caracters:<a href="/url?q=(text to extract whatever it is)& I tried this pattern, but it's not working for me! : /(?<=url\?q=).*?(?=&)/
i'm programming in Vb.net, this is the code, but i think that the problem is that the pattern is wrong:
Dim matches As MatchCollection matches = regex.Matches(TextBox1.Text) For Each Match As Match In matches listbox1.items.add(Match.Value) Next
I'm trying to read a file on a SharePoint 2010.I am using Visual Studio Express 2010.I have looked at a number of different solutions but just can't seem to find the correct path to go down to ascertain the best solution.I only need to know how to download one file from a SharePoint directory.
Lately I have been making a program (I guess you could call it a trainer), which would read the process memory to get the character's coordinates in a game. It later makes a simple map and show it in a separate windows. I built this program in VB.net, and it works surprisingly well. The only problem is the fact that the memory address where the coordinates are stored, changes every time I restart the game. Could someone please help me find a way, for the program to find the correct address by itself? If it helps, the game I am referring to is Minecraft.
I am now using VB2008 + MS Access 2007 to complete a small applicaiton.I was make use of access 's information to export the information from Access to the vb's database. I had completed the function of search the stock. However, I don't know how to create the chart in Visual Basic 2008 express version. I have downloaded the MS Chart, but I don't know how to make use of it. My objective is creating the chart that can search from month to month. Of course, the data will be updated monthly. My second question is how to build up the query that can search the top value in the Visual Basic. I know how to create in the MS Access. But I want to create the top value that can be change in visual basic, such as sometimes 10,20 or 30. Or I need to create in the MS Access, but not the VB 2008??
Does anybody know where to find a toolbox for Visual Basic 2005 or 2008 that allow to create level, button, display or other special box used on a bridge of a ship? I want to simulate a small bridge of a ship and I need something that allow me to display engine power, rotation speed, level of pressure, compass and so on.
Namespace testing Public Module TestModule Public testobj As New test End Module End Namespace
It is extremely annoying to have to start out two tabs to the right on new code. Is there anyway to disable auto-indenting just for namespace declarations in visual studio 2008?
I've just downloaded SQL server express and have created a database in there. Now back in my VB.NET application from Visual Studio how do i find/connect to it?
[URL] The jist of the problem is in fact that in the weka.classifiers.trees namespace you have the following members:
namespace weka.classifiers.trees.j48
and
public class J48 : weka.classifiers.Classifier (Member of weka.classifiers.trees)
Lamentably VB .NET in VS 2008 does not seem to be smart enough to distinguish betweem the two (which is odd, because there is no such problem in VS 2003, or in C# in VS 2008) because of it's lack of case sensitivity. Or possibly because of the fact that ikvmc emits an assembly compiled for the 1.1 run time... I'm not sure. I'm also not quite sure how you would resolve this particular issue and given the time sensitivity of this project I do not have the time to learn C# or Java to an extensive degree.
Have a populated listview with check boxes. If the item is checked I want to send it to report for printing. This code is bypassed:
Code: Private Sub GetSelectedItems() If Not Me.ListView1.SelectedItems.Count = 0 Then
[code]....
Count is always = 0. This seems to work only if the item is double clicked. And then only one item is returned in the msgbox. MSDN says "The SelectedItems property will not contain any items if the property is accessed before the ListView handle is created, which typically occurs when ListView is initially loaded for display in the form. You can check to see if the handle is created with the IsHandleCreated property."
When I tried to check for the handle, an error said something about overloading. So I added this:
Code: Public Overloads ReadOnly Property GetSelectdItems() Get If Not Me.ListView1.SelectedItems.Count = 0 Then
[code]....
Which does not help. How to find the items checked/create the needed handle?
The database: "ID (Primary key)" | "Title" 0 | "title1"
[code].....
OK, before adding values to database, we should check if a row exists with this values :)TO do this, creating a Stored Procedure is a best way to deal with the database fastly.So... The problem now is, at the runtime, Miss OleDB throw this error:Microsoft Jet database engine cannot find the input table or query 'IF
i should say hi experts :D . Help me with this pretty code :)

i'm working on a system that upgrades a basic version to a proversion but i have a payment gateway . it generates a code in an SQL DB.now i have a form in VB that has a textbox and a button how can i let VB connect to my SQL DB receive the code and then check if that code is correct and if its correct download silence the pro file. from an url.
I've got a form - CMCConsole It pops up a dialog form for adding a new case.If the matter number in a textbox on that dialog form matches an existing cases matter number I would like to find it in the binding source of the CMCConsole form
Private Function CheckMatter(ByVal MtrNum As String) As Boolean Dim cfIndex As Integer = CMCConsole.caseBS.Find("MatterNumber", MtrNum) Dim cfIndex2 As Integer = CMCConsole.casefileBS.Find("MatterNumber", MtrNum)
[code]....
But it appear the filter for the CASE we were just on that is set on the binding source is keeping the FIND from seeing other cases.
caseBS.Filter = "CaseId=" & e.Node.Tag.ToString
Do I have to clear the filter in order to find a matter number in some other case??
I have created a basic query generator which allows a user to select the Select, WHERE and criteria attributes using a number of checkboxes.However i have got stuck. In the results form i have the following code
The program keeps on crashing if the user does not select the corresponding amount of display records from above for the amount of attributes they want for the SELECT part of the query in the intreface in form 1.
How would i go about making something where the number of SELECT attributes selected which are listed in a string create the correct number of textbox fields in the results form (form2)
When I attempt to read my Xml file when using a schema file I get the following error message: Input string was not in a correct format. If I delete the schema it read its fine so I am assuming something in schema file isn't matching the incoming data? How can I determine which line is creating the error?
I have a form that has many checkboxes located on a tab control with 3 tabs each tab has checkboxes on it.I have a button that when pressed selects all the checkboxes. That does work and it does execute all that were selected. However there are no checkmarks appearing at all. This worked before! It seems like the more checkboxes I added to the form the less they properly showed f they were checked or unchecked. Now none of them show unless I close the form and reopen it then all of the boxes are checked like they should be when the select all button is pressed.
I am building a program for my CINS-113 class where it allows the user to enter a number 1-15 in a masked text box and then hit OK and it will display that number in a ListBox as such:
Say they enter 1...
1 X 1 = 1 1 X 2 = 2 1 X 3 = 3 ... 1 X 12 = 12
I have gotten everything to work great, but when you enter anything but numbers 1-15 it properly provides a message popup telling you that your entry is basically not the right value, but then I get a build error that says "Input string was not in correct format" and it highlights my line: "intInput1 = Convert.ToInt32(strInput1)"
Label4.Text = Label4.Text & " " & TextBox1.Text is this code correct to add value to label4 from tetxbox1 at run time?so that the label content should look like this 45 56 67 89 .the should be appended in the label4 whatever i enter in the textbox1.Also these value should be added in the database as list of items in the single field.so that i can retrieve these values in a listbox that is in the another form .
I get (depending on the way I try to use "Test") either "'Name' is not a member of '<Default>'." or "Type 'Name.Test' is not defined." in my error list. I've found two ways to make it work, but neither are reasonable to expect of a user. One is to remove the "Root Namespace" from the project properties. The other is to include that namespace between "Global" and "Name".
I have made a custom tool that uses CodeDom to generate code for both C# and VB.NET. This is the reason why neither of the two fixes above are feasible: I can't expect my users to have an empty root namespace, and I'd hate to have to do VB-specific tricks in my code generation (kind of defeats the purpose of using a language-neutral tool, doesn't it?) such as picking out the "Root Namespace" (not that I'd know how off the top of my head) and including it in my code generation.
I don't want to leave out the global modifier either, because it protects the tool from users picking bad names for the generated output. Does anybody have a suggestion for how I should deal with this?
