VS 2008 Set Looping And Progress Bars And Hotkeys?

Ive been trying to work with looping code and get messeges like this.

But that is not important this moment... How would I set a code too use the progress bar? So As it loops at a certain rate {Lets say 1000 (1 sec)} It would show the progress. Currently using it to 1 - 50. I came across a problem in my program it takes too long to calculate the values needed (about 10 sec) .But thats not the problem you don't know when the program is working or not, as it just locks up until its finshed and I view that as a problem.
I need to be able to show the progress of this .I looked at using background Workers but I get exception "Object reference not set to an instance" I believe this is because the background worker cannot write values or something ,As it works will a normal handler.

Im having some trouble with my progress bars in VB.Net. I am currently making a 2d game for a college assignment. The problem is i have one for health and one for reloading the reload bar works fine but when i try to code the health bar i think it conflicts with the other Progress bar [Code]

I had some trouble a while back with my progress bars exceeding their maximum sizes. I though I had fixed the problem but obviously I was wrong every time the maximum size is exeeded the application enteres debugging mode .... this is really frustrating as the progress bars are a major factor in the game...
What I have is one progress bar which is linked to a clock the clock which ticks up to 1:30 and the game then ends. I also have another progress bar showing the health of the shooter.
I have a series of collision codes set up which are linked to these progress bars, that add to them and take from them.

I'm looking for the correct name to call a progress bar that "loops". Instead of the standard progress bar that fills up from left to right to 100%, this looks exactly like the progress bar but a small portion of the fill color constantly loops, never filling the whole progress bar to 100%, basically making it an eternal progress bar similar to a Ajax loading image. Microsoft likes to use this progress bar in their dialogs now.

I am trying to implement a BGW and want to report progress to a progress bar for my TextFieldParser program, sometimes if your opening very large files it takes a while and I would like the user to be able to see the progress and have some interaction so they know the program is still running I am a little hung up on what to in the reportprogress

I am trying to input the function key that a user has selected from a ComboBox (containing the function keys F1~F12 as options) into the GetAsyncKeyState(). However, since the ComboBox_StartHotkey.Text is a string, it cannot be converted into Long data type needed for the GetAsyncKeyState() function. I have tried Conversion and Parse Methods but what I try doesn't seem to work. Anyone know how to effectively convert a String (such as F6) into a Long data type for using in the GetAsyncKeyState() function in this case?
I used the tried to use the ItemData property to hold the Key Code representing the Function Key.

For sample. I do a 2 start button. Start and stop but I use hotkey to automatic start (my program will automatic press Tab and 1). When I press F9 will start and F10 to stop but when I'm in my program but my problem. When I click in notepad then I press F9 it won't work?

When i maximize my screen my web browser displays perfectly , when i minimize i start to get problems. I have the tabbed web browser anchor set to left,right,top,bottom , so it minimizes perfectly. My problem is my URL/search bars and buttons wont minimize like the browser does, ive tried using the anchor settings but it just put everything everywhere. What am i doing wrong ?

I am building a basic web browser that I would like to not have any scroll bars (I can do this by setting the "ScrollBarsEnabled" button to False) but also still be able to have the scroll fulction via keyboard shortcuts.
IE when you press page up and down the page scrolls, but when they are disabled you can no longer use the page up and down keys to scroll.
Is there any "scroll function" in the browser like WebBrowser1.scrolldown etc that I could use? that I can have key strokes trigger?
A bit of an over view, the web browser is hosted in other software that has customizable buttons, these buttons can be set to send key strokes to the hosted app in this case my web browser.
Example of what I do for my home button
