I have a label and sometime the text for this label is longer than it can display. I am more concern about the end part of the text than the beginning. How do i make the label show the end part or make the text scroll automatically. And how do i know the text extend passed the length of the label?

I have no problem, the text appear on several lines and it is well wrapped. But if the text is too long to be drawn inside the rectangle, I need to draw the text not drawn in another rectangle (on another page). How can I know the text not drawn in the first rectangle ? I think it is more difficult to use MeasureString because the text is wrapped.

View 6 RepliesI have several group boxes on a winform. within each there are several labels.I am accessing the group boxes with no issues but I can't seem to find a way to update the labels within by looping. They have the same name except the last character which is a number 1 - 9. ex. lbl1, lbl2 ... lbl9.I need to update the text of each label in code with text I get from a database ex. lbl1.text = one, lbl2.text = two etc... I want to loop through the labels to assign the text. Getting text from database is no issue what I am not doing properly is getting the labels.

I've been tasked to create one automation program that needs to read SysListview32, Listbox and Label content of another application [this was written by previous employee, but the source code didn't preserve]. I'm now successfully reading the content of ListBox and ListView, however I haven't been able to read the Label content....I've somewhere even read this might not be possible, which is what I wouldn't like to hear here as well )))The target application was written probably in C++ and when I get over the target label with tools such as Spy++ or Winspector, it doesn't draw the red rectangle around the label...

When I try to test this the .ExecuteNonQuery() becomes highlighted and says the given type name is unrecognized. My table is setup as table1 and the only 2 columns are datetime and temperature. I want the label text to go to temperature and I would like somehow the time the temperature was taken to go into the datetime field. I had the provider=microsoft.jet.oledb.4.0, but I changed it since I thought this was the one to use.
Is there a way that a label's text is updated each time the input of a textbox changes? The textbox and the label are on the same form. I looked everywhere but didn't find a solution that worked.

I am making a program that loads, edits and saves 5000 rows x 100 columns of data. The data is stored in a datagridview. I use these commands to write the file:

Every time I issue this command the whole program freezes until the computer is done writing the file. Is there some way I can get it to write this file without freezing up the program? Or, perhaps a better way to write this large data file?
I am writing long text (1K to 2K characters long, plain xml data) into a cell in excel workbook.
