I have an Access 2003 DB and an SQL Server 2005 DB.
I have one datagridview where I want to present data from both databases.
My query would look like this:

I am trying to make a database, fill it with tables and then fill the tables. I am having problems connecting to the server and am really not sure why. I have posted this thread in two areas of this site because I was not sure what was the best area to put it in. [code]

I have looked at the answers in the forum and some seem dated. I an an old vb2 person and need to move up. I understand sql very well and use complex queries. First test project and trying to add multiple tables to a data grid (Only Form in project).I used the Data wizard to add the Access data base and worked by way through to near the end. The query works in the wizard and returns the correct rows. The error message is "The solution returned by the new query differs from the base query."
During the creation process I selected all the tables. Reading some of the old anwsers I get the inpression that VB 2010 does not handle multiple tables in a datagrid (forum items go back to version 2008).
I have multiple tables that I need to pull and display data from. I have created a new query in the TableAdapter of one table to pull data from related tables based on a parameter. In the Query Designer I can run my query and see all of the columns requested in my SELECT statement, however when I bind this table to a DataGridView and call the new query, it only returns the original columns from Table1.How do I see all of the columns I selected in my query?

The remarked area works fine when I'm accessing a specific table. I've successfully inserted the products_model field into the combobox too. The datagridview does show the table names in the db using the SHOW TABLES sql statment, but I'm not understanding how to get this info into the combobox instead.

It's a small database with largely static data, so I would like to pull the contents of this DB in its entirety into my application at startup, and then grab individual pieces of data as needed using LINQ. View 1 RepliesI have a vb.net web application and when a particular function runs , i get data timeouts in the rest of the application..(ie..row not found errors or column does not belong to table but it does) The function is adding multiple rows in multiple tables in the database and is running in a for loop. It seems to be all SQL related but I am not seeing anything in the error logs in SQL or in the application Right now I am assuming it is memory related where to start note..the for loop will be replaced with a bulk insert but right now I jest need to resolve the issue of the timeouts

To do this, i have exported the online catalogue as a delimited text file using "^" as the delimiter. I then want to go into our Accpac data a find out if all the items are still active, the current price and the stock on hand.

My next project is this:
I have a customer service center where each person must fill out the same data on 3 different web forms for each phone call. All 3 browser windows are open at the same time. (we are forced to use IE at this time)
The fields on each form are the same, but may be in a different order or called something different, but the data is ultimately the same.
Submitting to these web pages through POST is NOT an option. It must be done in macro-like style.
The hard part about this for is getting VB to focus each window one-at-a-time and then filling in the form values.
How can this be done? After focusing windows, is there a way to get VB to fill in each form field?

We use the data to fill in multiple forms.I know that VB can be used to allow everyone to access one database. Does anyone have this as a runtime module since I have never written in VB and don't know where to start. My last code writing was on a AS400.
