Inserting Captcha Image To Web Form?
Sep 14, 2011i have an aspx web form with vb code behind. the form is a simple input form with a table with textboxes and a submit button. i am looking to be able to insert a captcha image into the table with an entry textbox and check the value entered against the image on the submit button.
i have found various 'helpful' bits of code on the net to explain how to generate the image. but none of them explain exactly how/when the image would get generated, how you can insert the image onto the webform where you want it to be, or how you can check the text input against that image.

Jan 2, 2011I made an email account today and out of curiosity I was wondering if this is possible. Is it? Has it ever been done before? How is it even possible? I mean, all that spam email I get, it must be generated emails doing that because even though I "mark as spam" it, I still get the same email but from another address.

Because captchas are dynamic images, I cannot pull the image from a src file. I'm pretty new to vb.net so, how would I initiate a session, with the webbrowser control or webclient, and be able to display the captcha image for that session on my form.

Aug 21, 2011With Button click i have to create dynamic 3 Labels in a Panel or panel. First Label show text from TextBox1. Second Label show text from TextBox2 And the last show date from DatetimePicker.
First problem: I have find some code to create one label but not 3 labels with different text each one. How to create this 3 different labels with different text? Each one under the previous. Second problem: When i create a label and close the form - Next time when i open again the form none label has saved. The Panel is clear. How to save that dynamic created labels?

Feb 19, 2010Ive managed to dynamically create a form, and dynamically create a timer, but i have not been able to create the timer on the dynamic form. Specifically, i need to be able to have the timer itself create another form with a timer. (I realize that this would create a new form every interval on the timer, that is what i want to do)
1. A way to add the timer to the dynamic form, and maintain the timer sub on my main form.
2. A way to create the whole thing over (dynamic form and timer) through the previous dynamic form and timer.
I was thinking i could use a collection/array to store the forms and timers, but i'm still having trouble figuring out how to add entire forms or timers into a list. (A timer is not considered a control, so i cant use a controlcollection...)

*EDIT* Btw, my idea was to use i as a variable that increases every time a form is created, then insert the form into the array, with i as the integer. i just need to know how to create a new form with a different name each time. (as with timers)

I have tried several examples on the web, but can't seem to get any to work, like convert from base64 string into a byte array, then into a memory stream, then to image. I have also tried to use a webrequest, but cant seem to get that to work, either.

Dynamic ContextMenuStrips On A Dynamic Form?
Oct 15, 2009I have a form that i need to be 100% Dynamic. So it could contain 10 labels maybe 100 who knows.
When you hover over a label there will be a different contextmenustrip to appear for each and every label. So all the contextmenustrips are Dynamic and contain 1 option maybe 2 options even 3 or 4 up to the users settings.
My problem is not creating a handler for when the user clicks on the contextmenustrips options. The problem is knowing which one of the options for that contextmenu was clicked!!
VS 2010 - Create A DDE Server, Windows Form, In VS 2010/11
Apr 20, 2012With a Windows form that I would like to be a DDE server. I know that DDE is not natively supported in VS 2010/11 so I'm using the NDde.dll to add DDE functionality to this program.
Objective: Create a windows form to act as a Pop-up notification that has a textbox field. This textbox field must be selectable in order for users to copy a text string to the clipboard and paste into another program that does not support DDE.
Overview: A phone system has an on-screen agent program that triggers a pop-up form, the DDE Server, when an incomming call is presented. When the agent accepts the call the agent program, acting as a DDE Client, registers a DDE session, Application=phnserver and Topic=callerid. Then communicates an "OnExecute" command to the DDE Server followed by a number string. This string should be presented on the pop-up form in a text box. Once the call is completed the agent application will issue a command to close the pop-up form.

Jun 14, 2011I'm using VB 2010, accessing a MS Access database. I have constructed a simple Windows Form returning data from the db, one field of which has a reference to an image I'm trying to display together with the data from each individual record.
I have a field with a product number, that matches the jpg file name (ie, the product number 5505 matches an image that I want to display, namely 5505.jpg). I've even created a new field in the db called 'Image', that contains the full name 5505.jpg.
So, I've connected to the db with an OleDbAdapter, and all the data fields are displayed via bound textboxes. I've been able to display a single 'set' image with a PictureBox, but I'm not sure how the make the connection between the returned data (txtSearchImage which is, say, '5505.jpg'), and getting the Windows Form to display this.
Am I on the right track using a PictureBox? I've tried binding this via the PictureBox properties to the relevant data field, but (obviously) it doesn't make the connection to the image file on my hard drive.

VS 2008 Using A Dynamic Image Box?
May 18, 2009I basically just want to be able to make the image use the SelectedIndex as the end of the resource, like this
PictureBox.Image = My.Resources.Vehicle_Ary9(Helicopters.SelectedIndex)
This of course won't work though.
So the vehicles are all in the format Vehicle_number, so how can I make this work :S
