Access Values Of Dynamic Controls Added To Dynamic Tabpages?
May 8, 2011i have created a dynamic tabpage and a dynamic tablelayoutpanel inside it then added dynamic textboxes and labels inside the tablelayoutpanel...the thing is , i am having a problem on how to access the value of those textboxes and labels and add them as new columns in the new table(tagpage) in mysql database, i can already create the table in the database but i cant add the new columns in it. heres the code for accessing the values of the labels and textboxes

Now, I know that a query in .NET doesnt look like this, this is my test in the SQL Design Studio. Naturally VB.NET variables will be used in place of the SQL local variables.My problem is this: All of the conditions after "WHERE" are optional. In that a query might be made that uses one, some, all, or none of the conditions. V.PropertyID and V.Value can also appear any number of times.In VB.NET I can make this query easy enough by simply concatenating strings, and using a loop to append the "V.PropertyID/V.Value" conditions.I can also make a Stored Procedure in MS SQL, which is easy enough.However, I want to accomplish this using LINQ.
VS 2008 Dynamic Timer In A Dynamic Form
Feb 19, 2010Ive managed to dynamically create a form, and dynamically create a timer, but i have not been able to create the timer on the dynamic form. Specifically, i need to be able to have the timer itself create another form with a timer. (I realize that this would create a new form every interval on the timer, that is what i want to do)
1. A way to add the timer to the dynamic form, and maintain the timer sub on my main form.
2. A way to create the whole thing over (dynamic form and timer) through the previous dynamic form and timer.
I was thinking i could use a collection/array to store the forms and timers, but i'm still having trouble figuring out how to add entire forms or timers into a list. (A timer is not considered a control, so i cant use a controlcollection...)

Dynamic ContextMenuStrips On A Dynamic Form?
Oct 15, 2009I have a form that i need to be 100% Dynamic. So it could contain 10 labels maybe 100 who knows.
When you hover over a label there will be a different contextmenustrip to appear for each and every label. So all the contextmenustrips are Dynamic and contain 1 option maybe 2 options even 3 or 4 up to the users settings.
My problem is not creating a handler for when the user clicks on the contextmenustrips options. The problem is knowing which one of the options for that contextmenu was clicked!!
Dynamic ToolTip For Dynamic Text Box?
Jan 11, 2012OK, I'm trying to display tooltip text for a dynamic edit box. Well, at least I'm trying to.
On my form, I've got a tool tip control which I've conveniently named ToolTip. My edit box displays OK. But, what I want to do is when the user hovers their mouse over the text box, I want the tool tip to display some text.
I think there are two problems that I'm having. I'm not convinced that I'm properly addressing a dynamic text box name. Ideally, I would want to be able to refer to the text box (but using a dynamic variable that will contain the prefix of the name). To hardcode, I would want to be able to achieve (not in this example but in theory): ABCDEFGt_0300.Text = "hello"

For example, I am trying to work with twitter for posts. I know twitter has an API but I want to work with many similar systems and want to avoid the API as its case specific and I want to scale things within the VB.Net form. The login fields for twitter are easily handled, however the posting field once your logged in is just a text area with a class. There is a tagname but I have been unable to post using the tagname element.Any examples of posting to twitter without the API ?

May 18, 2011I am generating 4 textbox at run time at a time when click on a addbutton. if i am click on the addbutton then it will generate 4 button bellow the first 4 text box as proper arrangemnt. all these i am placed in a panel and i put scoll bar for panel also. Now my problem is after generating 25 rows i am getting big gap for ext 4 text box row.
My questin is why its not take this gap when i generated 25 raw of each 4 text box after this gap again it coming fine with next 25 raw with 4 textbox each.then agin it take a long gap..

Can't Create A Dynamic Textbox With A Tooltip?
Jan 12, 2012I was wondering if some of you can help me with a problem I can't seem to get around. I've got a database that contains a list of users who are connected to an application. The usernames and number of users connected will be random. What I need to do is to display two dynamic text boxes and also have a dynamic tooltip for each of the text boxes for each user displayed. If you look at the attached screenshot I drafted up, I'll only use the first user 'John' for this example.I will hardcode my example because getting the data from the database isn't the issue I'm having. My problem is figuring out how to make the text boxes and tooltips unique for each time someone visits the form. I would also like to be able to set the text within the boxes as well. Mar 3, 2009I have a form that builds and populates dynamic text boxes from parsing a file. There is a "Last Name" text box that when populated, also labels a tab page with the name. After the form is populated, the user can change data as they desire but I was wondering how to update the tab page text when the user updates the last name text box? All the controls are built in code.

Now, I need to restrict the user to type a maximum of 5 characters inside. The MaxLength property is supposed to help me with that, but the user is still allowed to type more than five characters!Later on, after I have crossed this bridge, I'll need to allow a minimum of five as well - so that the user will always be able to enter only five characters inside each textbox. Another problem in the future will be to allow only numeric digits. These are product codes, whic are always numeric, and always 5 characters in length

There is one query in which I ask the PLC for the current position of the moving motor and display it in a current position textbox using a DO Loop. Here the problem is the textbox only displays the position at the end of the motor movement and not while the motor in movies though I have included the code to do so inside the DO loop.

Jul 15, 2011In my form, A user can do some stuff on my program which will create a new tabpage with a text box on it. The user also selects the name of the tab, which is then the name of the textbox with a "2" on the end of it.
What I need to know is how to get the texts from however many tabpage's textboxes there are and combine them into one textbox, as a sort of receipt.
What I was thinking, because I have this method of removing all the tabpages, is using a code like the one below maybe to do the job, not sure how I would alter it to work though. [code]...

VS 2010 - Dynamic Picture Box Sizing ?
Jan 31, 2011I am successfully able to pull images into a picturebox in my program and manipulate them in a variety of ways. What i need to be able to do is the following.
1) Pull images into a picture box on my main form and dynamically resize either the picture box or the image so that the image doesnt lose its scale when it comes in
2) Have a method of pre-screening an image to be loaded before it comes in so that i can change its size without losing scale .. ex.
if my image is 1200x1200 i do not have that much room on my form so i would want to say something like

The root item is called item1 and when the form is run, item1 gets populated by items called subItem[0-5].I am wondering how do I assign an action to a subItem when click? At the moment I want a message box to popup with the subItem's name that has been clicked. I.E If subItem3 is clicked, I want a msgbox to pop up with "subItem3".
