I am working on an application which involves serial port communication with stepper motors. Now I am sending queries to the PLC via modbus protocol. There is one query in which I ask the PLC for the current position of the moving motor and display it in a current position textbox using a DO Loop. Here the problem is the textbox only displays the position at the end of the motor movement and not while the motor in movies though I have included the code to do so inside the DO loop. So pls anyone who has the solution for this or any other alternative to perform this type of dynamic data display updation then pls reply.

I wanted to simply on click a button to add those newly created textboxes to an array of textboxes. Starting with those labeled "Address". But I am finding this very difficult. I am able to add those originally on the form into the array very easily. But am unable to add the newly created textboxes into the array.

I have a form that builds and populates dynamic text boxes from parsing a file. There is a "Last Name" text box that when populated, also labels a tab page with the name. After the form is populated, the user can change data as they desire but I was wondering how to update the tab page text when the user updates the last name text box? All the controls are built in code.

I am creating a data logger that pulls data from an existing OPC server. When the data logger is launched, I look into the OPC server and get the names of the sensors that need logging (ColumnNames() as string) . From that, I am creating a data table with columns based on the items in ColumnNames(). That part is working. What I am having problems with is adding rows to the table. When I read the values from the OPC server, I get an array of strings (values() as string) which is guaranteed to be in the same order as the ColumnNames.I have been trying to use an SqlDataAdapter with a dynamically built insert command, but it is getting extremely convoluted and ugly.Is there an way to add a data row to my table using an array of string values directly?

Is it possible to have a Textbox on a form that when the user inputs data, ( during Runtime )that data remains in the Textbox for good and the Textbox then becomes read only ? Is it also possible to make it so that the CD with the programme on, is in the PC when the programme is being used. Perhaps writing the Textbox data back onto the CD ?

Now, I know that a query in .NET doesnt look like this, this is my test in the SQL Design Studio. Naturally VB.NET variables will be used in place of the SQL local variables.My problem is this: All of the conditions after "WHERE" are optional. In that a query might be made that uses one, some, all, or none of the conditions. V.PropertyID and V.Value can also appear any number of times.In VB.NET I can make this query easy enough by simply concatenating strings, and using a loop to append the "V.PropertyID/V.Value" conditions.I can also make a Stored Procedure in MS SQL, which is easy enough.However, I want to accomplish this using LINQ.
Ive managed to dynamically create a form, and dynamically create a timer, but i have not been able to create the timer on the dynamic form. Specifically, i need to be able to have the timer itself create another form with a timer. (I realize that this would create a new form every interval on the timer, that is what i want to do)
1. A way to add the timer to the dynamic form, and maintain the timer sub on my main form.
2. A way to create the whole thing over (dynamic form and timer) through the previous dynamic form and timer.
I was thinking i could use a collection/array to store the forms and timers, but i'm still having trouble figuring out how to add entire forms or timers into a list. (A timer is not considered a control, so i cant use a controlcollection...)

*EDIT* Btw, my idea was to use i as a variable that increases every time a form is created, then insert the form into the array, with i as the integer. i just need to know how to create a new form with a different name each time. (as with timers)

I have included statement includes project.modulename in my main project form where i am referring this structure. everything worked fine. Today, i added new field to the structure by name "example as string" and written some code in module itself to access this field. even this is working fine. but when i am trying to access this field in the main code it is not showing example as structure field and saying not a member.
The drop down suggestion of IDE is not showing this field in main code but in module code it is showing the field. Later, i also found that my debugger is also not working. I tried to clean solution, restart IDE, computer but nothing seems to be working.

I have two tables namely BankAccount and MoneyTransfer to be used in a single form. Now I have a Date and Amount field in the form and I have both the columns present in the TransferMoney table. The user will first select the BankName and AccountNo. from their dropdown list,then enter an amount in the Amount field and ontransfer button click the money will be transfered from the FROM part to the TO part and the BankAccount table will get updated by the current balance of both the FROM and TO part and the Transfer money table containing the Amount and Date column will also get updated by the Amount transferred and the date in which the money is transferred.
I want it so every time I click an ITEM in the Listbox it displays ALL the data into the textbox. I know there's an easy way using table adapters and binding the listbox, but I'd prefer to do it this way for my project.
I have a backend database in MS access, which is updated using excel as front end. Due to network issues the record updation takes lot of time. Would it be faster if i use VB.net as the front end.
I am generating 4 textbox at run time at a time when click on a addbutton. if i am click on the addbutton then it will generate 4 button bellow the first 4 text box as proper arrangemnt. all these i am placed in a panel and i put scoll bar for panel also. Now my problem is after generating 25 rows i am getting big gap for ext 4 text box row.
My questin is why its not take this gap when i generated 25 raw of each 4 text box after this gap again it coming fine with next 25 raw with 4 textbox each.then agin it take a long gap..
I was wondering if some of you can help me with a problem I can't seem to get around. I've got a database that contains a list of users who are connected to an application. The usernames and number of users connected will be random. What I need to do is to display two dynamic text boxes and also have a dynamic tooltip for each of the text boxes for each user displayed. If you look at the attached screenshot I drafted up, I'll only use the first user 'John' for this example.I will hardcode my example because getting the data from the database isn't the issue I'm having. My problem is figuring out how to make the text boxes and tooltips unique for each time someone visits the form. I would also like to be able to set the text within the boxes as well.
