For my ToDo list I have these data: Activity, date, start time, end time.I have 2 listboxes. The first listbox stores the activity and date.The 2nd listbox stores activity,date, start time and end time.With a button I can hide/show the 2nd listbox.

I have a number of arrays (lets say two for the time being, but this needs to be scalable from 1-n). Each array represents a different "parameter" for the application I'm working on. I need to create a multidimensional array containing a set which represents each of the permutations of each of the "parameters". Effectively each row represents each permutation of the selected options for each "parameter" array.
For instance, say the first array of inputs is:
"Blue"
"White"
"Yellow"
And the second:

I need to create an array:
"Blue", 1
"Blue", 66
"Blue", 95
"White", 1
"White", 66
"White", 95
"Yellow", 1
"Yellow", 66
"Yellow", 95
The main work is in the "If Not (OutputTemp Is Nothing)" loop. Effectively I need to access the content in the first array with a "modulus" so that: (using the example above). I'm accessing the rows in the following method

I am trying to parse several strings to integers where I both tried cINT(string) and Integer.Parse(string) but it seemed to fail at the string 'h1', I think I need to use substring for this, but as the input can be different decided by the user, it is kinda impossbile to use substring, as I do not know how to locate the integer in the string..

1. What is a integer and what is a string?
2. Can i code an own sub? so it works at all times and not only when i " do something" (press a button or something like that)

For instance, if the integer was 255, the hex string would be "ff", if the integer was 15, the hex string would be "0f". The issue I'm having is trying to keep the leading 0. I've been able to overcome this by using an if statement to determine if the length is less than 2, in which I would concatenate a 0, but this is pretty inefficient I think. Here's my

I see you can remove it by doing a remove with the index, but I assume you can do some type of function where you provide the value that you want to remove and it removes it. I found it on the List(Of String), but not Integer.

I'm trying to create a linked list of an array of integers. Why is the following implicit conversion required?
When I run the code that contains that conversion, I get the following error.
As a real-time data acquisition user control data (a packet of an array of bytes) arrives every second, is converted into an integer array and inserted into a linked list.
The most recently arrived data is painted as coordinates on a grid at the right of a PictureBox using Graphics.DrawLine (pen,X1,Y1,X2,Y2).
The oldest data (arriving 120 seconds ago) will be drawn at the leftmost portion of the Picturebox.
Why a linked list rather than a list? To display 120 views of time sequence data, the draw routine the most recently inserted node to a node that points to Nothing. How do I limit the length of the linked list to 120 nodes and always ensure that the last node points to Nothing?

I have an application that deals with some rather large number values. I wanted the values to allow a roll over so I compiled the program with Remove Integer Overflow Checks turned on. The 32 bit numbers roll over just fine but the 64 bit unsigned integers still throw an over flow exception. Is this a bug in the compiler?
View 7 RepliesI have a program that will round any numbers I give it regardless of the data type I set (I've tried double and decimal) before it saves into the DB. I'm using MS access for the DB and I've set the data types in access to Numeric Double, Numeric Decimal, and Currency and all with decimal places set to 4 -- all to no avail.
What I do know:
1) The textboxes on the form accept the number value as I enter it and after I hit save the value displayed is the same as the number that I entered. However, once I query the database again for that entry the value has been rounded up/down to the nearest integer (whole number). For example: I enter 1000.50 and hit save. I search for that same entry and the value is saved as 1000. If I enter 1000.51 and hit save then search for the entry it shows the value saved as 1001.
2) I can store the desired value directly into the DB by manually entering it. When I search for that entry from within the program it displays the correct amount. HOWEVER, if I try to change the amount and then hit save I get a concurrency violation.
I think that it may be a setting somewhere in the program that doesn't allow for decimal places but I've search everywhere and I cant find anything.
I am creating a class that will represent a file and I am going to have lots of properties. Now I want the properties to return either a integer or a byte array. Is this possible or do I need to create 2 different properties one for the integer and one for the byte array? When I try I get. 'Public Property something As Integer' and 'Public Property something As Byte()' cannot overload each other because they differ only by return types.
