I have a list view with a few items in it and I would to allow the user to select the text in the subitems,but not be able to change it. I noticed you can change the items names but not the subitems.Is there a way I can do this in a listview?
View 4 RepliesNot sure what I did here. However it seems to work.. Yet what happens is I must go into the List View hit Add. Then Hit Add again to make it able to fill out the text boxes. What should I do to correct the double click of add button? My text boxes are not enabled in properties if that is a key.

I have written a function which logs into an FTP server and recursively lists all of the directories within a given folder into an XML string (example below). I basically want to parse this into a listview item in the format as follows "Level1/level2/level3/level4" (standard file path). I have given an example of the xml below. How would I go about achieving this?
I have set up an xmltextreader, and then using a do while xmltextreader.read() I can check the current level of the node and add it that way, but it tends to only work half the time - is this the best approach?

I started working on a product list with an array of products, these products are in a list view. You click the item and it is added to another list view and removed from the one it is curently in. I had it suggested to me and it sounded neater. I had no problems tinkering with codes and getting it opperating properly. But, What I am having trouble with is putting a cost to the product.
The idea is that the user would select products from the list and then they will be totalled together which is why it is important to be able to get the cost in there but not actually visable.Athiest advised me of a method used in combo boxes, because i was originally working with combo boxes. So I tried using that for my needs in a list view. Turns out to be a little more awkward than I thought. I get an error while trieing to add the item to my list box because I havent "declared" it.

I am creating a Map Rotation Randomizer for my Call of Duty clan, and I am having an issue with understanding how to randomize the text from the list and placing it into another textbox.
Here's what it looks like right now:
All textboxes are multi-line.
When I click a button for a game (CoD4, MW2, WaW), it places the map list into the left textbox like:
mp_bloc
mp_broadcast
mp_crossfire
etc.
When I click the button with ">>>", I want it to randomize that list and place it into the right textbox like:
map mp_bloc map mp_broadcast map mp_crossfire
Or if I click it again:
map mp_crossfire map mp_bloc map mp_broadcast
And so on. I think I need to create an array, but I've never worked with those before as I'm still new to learning programming. I'm not even sure what controls I need to put on the form for that, if it even requires any.

I would like to create a little list in my Windows Form showing a list of custom colors with their 'friendly names'. Technically it can be anything (ListBox, ListView, Panel etc... whatever).
I simply want it to look something like this:

Is it possible in vb.net to list view and possibly alter the contents of the ram on a computer, I presume this would have to be done through api because of the lack of access to the ram on xp +.
