VS 2010 MS Access Query Export To Excel (Office 2003)?

I'm running into a bit of a roadblock here. I have tried to search the web/forums for answer for last several hours to no avail and I'm not the expert VB Programmer.However, I was able to write an app to do the following:
1) read Outlook emails for particular emails containing xml link in which I was able to download the file and save to my hard drive.
2) opened the Excel spreadsheet to run the macro which import those XMLs into existing XLS spreadsheets to refresh the data.
3) Those XLS spreadsheets are linked in my MS Access in which I join all four XLS sheets to create one report via Query which I have created in the past prior to this app development.
I have manually done a File Export of this query via ALT+F then E and what I'd like to do is to either take control of menu commands OR alternate method of performing a File Export to a new Excel spreadsheet (version 2003).I've seen two different methods, one via DoCmd OutputtoFile and another is TransferSpreadsheet.Here's my Access coding I have in my VB 2010:

I have a query being created using oledb from access and need to get the information to an already existing excel spread sheet. I am using VS 2010 with vb.net, access and excel are 2010. I have been running in circles for the last two days and cannot figure out how to get the data from a datareader into excel. This is a vb.net console app, so no web tables or grids can be used.

I am almost to the point of just outputting to a CSV and telling the user to import into excel each time. I can export to excel if I put it in a webform, but I cannot figure out how to do using a console app.

Everything is OK when I run this function for the first time. But when I try to run it the second time I get method range of object _global failed error.Also I've noticed that first execution creates excel process that is in my process list even after I close excel. Second execution creates second process and after error when I close excel both processes are gone.Third execution creates no error fourth creates errors .... and so on

I have some code that retrieves some data from multiple tables.This works fine.Now I want the data I retrieved to ADD to an excisting table in an Access 2003 DB.

Is it possible to import a query from Access 2003 into Visual studio 2010 (language used vb.net).
I created the queries originally for a project, then when I imported the database to visual studio I can only use the tables that i created. I have started looking at the coding to re-do these, but if I can import them would it be quicker?

I am designing a shared add-in using VB.Net 2008 and VSTO that has to fire up when any MS Office App is started. It has to work for both 2002, 2003 and 2007 applications. I have managed to put together a working add-in that pops up a test message stating the version of Office and the Application name and tested this across all the apps ok.
The next part of the solution is to code the application specific code that needs to run for document auditing and corporate protective marking as well as, for example; in Excel checking that all the Add-Ins are linked to the Network Add-Ins folder.
My approach from now was going to be to late bind against the application object and set one of my typed (e.g. Excel) application object references which exist in the code to this object.

I have a seemingly simple question I can't seem to figure out. I have an old VBA application that connects to a database using OLEDB, grabs data, and populates an excel sheet using Excel.QueryTable after the user clicks a button. I'm trying to port this rather large program to VB.NET. I've created a few projects in my solution, one of which being an ExcelWorkBook. I want this workbook to load each time users launch the program and be blank until they click a button which will populate the data.

I have both Excel 2003 and Excel 2007 installed on my system. When I call oExcel = CreateObject("Excel.Application"), Excel 2003 is used in the context in my .NET code instead of Excel 2007 (which I need to be used). I have referenced the "Microsoft Excel 12.0 Object Library" but when the code runs, the 11.0 version is used.
Is it because I am using Visual Studio .Net 2003 that Excel 2007 cannot be correctly referenced or do I need to change a reference or setting?

I'm looking to export my project view (tasks, resource and gantt) into excel, so it's similar to the Gannt Chart view in Project. I found a piace of code on the internet that will export the task list, with hierarchy (see below) but it doesn't include the gantt and I'm having trouble finding even a list of variable names that I could use to try and create one.Here is the code:

I am building a windows form application using visual basic (visual studio 2008). The idea is to query a MySQL DB and export the results to an excel document. I managed to do this using this code (I will just show the export to excel part):

And it works fine on my laptop (which has office 2003 installed), but when I create the setup package and install it on the server where I am going to use it (which does not have office installed), I get this error:
"Retrieving the COM class factory for component with CLSID {00024500-0000-0000-C000-000000000046} failed due to the following error: 80040154."
And for the record, I need the excel file, not a CSV.

When ran it returns "New cannot be used on an interface". Removing "New" returns "'WorksheetFunction' is a type in 'Excel' and cannot be used as an expression."
I've added a reference to the Microsoft.Office.Interop.Excel library v11.0.0.0, which I'm using in other places in the code with no complaints.

Assume all traces of Office 2003 will be removed from the computer.I understand that I will still be able to use .xls files. I'm asking about automating Excel through the COM interop from outside Excel. When I add a reference to Excel to a VB project, it gives me a different version of the dll for different versions of Excel. If a program was compiled with a reference to Office 2003's dll, will it need to be recompiled for Office 2007? Will the code need to be updated to use the new dll?

I'm a longtime vba user with little vb.net experience, and had a slightly general question before I embrk on the vb learning curve. I'd very much like to use some of the itextsharp pdf watermarking functionality in an access 2003 application. Alas itextsharp is tragically not referencable in VBA. My question is whether I can build my functions in Visual Studio, referencing itextsharp there, and render them in some form that makes the functions available to use within vba..

I am working with Vb.net and this code below works fine. However, when I review the data exported to excel I have a problem with one particular field i.e., sort code,( Columns (2) ) Sort code in the database it is in the format 00-00-00. Therefore if it is 12-11-09 or 11-01-66, a look alike of a valid date it is displayed as 12/11/2009 and 11/01/1966 in excel after the export. Excel thinks its a date which is incorrect. I expect it to show 12-11-09 and 11-01-66.

Its a query that fills a gridview. Everything thats in the gridview needs to be exported to a excelsheet.
I've got it working that when i fill it, it will fil the sheet with only the same line. Im not a prof VS developer.

I have a program in VB.NET 2005. At some point I have to open an Access2003-Application for getting data in it. I do that by pretending my program is a human user and let it do all the work in Access as a human user would do. Filling Fields, pressing buttons etc. I use the Primary Interop Assemblies for that. So far so good. That code is in use for over half a year now. In the last week I got Office 2007 installed on my machine. Of course I tested the installed version of my program if everthing still works. Every test was succesfull. But if I do the same tests in Visual Studio it always crashes.
All I get is this Errormessage: {"Das COM-Objekt des Typs "Microsoft.Office.Interop.Access.FormClass" kann nicht in den Schnittstellentyp "Microsoft.Office.Interop.Access._Form3" umgewandelt werden. i receive an error. Why? Conflicts between access 2003 and vb.net 2010? SQL Server is better?And another question. My Regional settings regarding the date is d/M/yyyy but in my vb.net example, the @date1, @date2 parameters accept M/d/yyyy dates. Is there a way to define into the parameters the d/M/yyyy specification?

The XLSNombre is a variable with the name of the excel file that has been set before. The connection I have in .NET is to SQL server (but is the same). How can I use this code (or..how can I make this code work for .NET) or what is the equivalent of this for .NET? I found some solutions but with inserts of single rows or I have to set the title of the columns, I dont find any "simple" solution to do an "insert into" (like the code I use in VB6).

I work for a somewhat large company.There are about 160 Windows XP Pro users. We are still using Microsoft Office 2000 for the most part.We have upgraded some users to Office 2003. We are not using Microsoft Exchange.I have to export every users' Outlook 2000 or Outlook 2003 Contacts into an Excel or CSV file every 6 months as a way of backing the Outlook Address Contacts.Currently I am doing this by physically going to every pc and manually exporting the contacts.This is a large pain.I am trying to find out if I can use or create a Visual Basic 2008 Express program or script that will export the contacts from Outlook and save it as an Excel or CSV file.The name of the file should be the same as the computers net name.It should be saved in the same location, on the network, each time.I am new to programming and new to VB 2008 Express.I do not know or have any code to start with.

Ok basically what I need to do is the following:Read FirstExcelDoc (attached)For every row in that: Retrieve data from sql server db based on info in the Orange columns of FirstExcelDoc Let's say I retrieved data elements A, B, C, D, and E from sql server. Then I need to enter those same data elements A, B, and C in another excel spreadsheet (which has formulas etc) After inputing A, B, and C in that spreadsheet, read a couple of calculated fields and compare those results to data elements D and E retrieved originally from SQL Server DB. Finally, output the results in the Blue columns of the FirstExcelDoc spreadsheet for that row.Loop through and do the same thing for row 2 of the FirstExcelDoc and keep on until you see "END TEST" in the FirstExcelDoc.
I'm looking for a method of doing this efficiently. I have read several articles over the past few days as well as those from Mike R. but just need some direction to get started on this.To start of I'm looking for whether to read the entire FirstExcelDoc spreadsheet or just read the info for first policy number(2nd row) and process it and write out the blue column info for that row and then loop through and come back and read the second policy number (3rd row) etc... Please attach a code snippet for either way of reading the data.

We have currently upgraded our development machines to Windows 7 and Office 2007. We have a vb 2008 app that references 2003 Office components to use for mail-merging to word.We loaded up our app in the vb environment today and were instantly greeted with missing components/functions which are related to the 2003 Office components. We can update these to use the Office 2007 components/functions instead, however we are unsure whether after doing this our vb app will work with machines only with Office 2003 on. can machines with Office 2003 on work with our vb app that references Office 2007 components?
