VS 2010 NO Row At Position 0?

i have this little problem that i cannot get my gead around
i am loading list view from a table then checking if a specific column value in that table when i load the list view from the table everything works fine but when i ask the ds to give me a specific value out of the table i get error
there is not row at location 0

I'm trying to set a new cursor position but I get this error:
A call to PInvoke function 'mon! WindowsApplication1.Form1::SetCursorPos' has unbalanced the stack. This is likely because the managed PInvoke signature does not match the unmanaged target signature. I have a form in Visual Basic, and the size of the form is: 211, 49. And when the form Loads, It loads to the top / left of the screen. the form has no border. How can I get my form to load top / right of the screen.
I Have tried changing the properties, Start Position to Manual, And then changed Location 0,0. but what if someone has a different size screen than mine.

I know how to get the cursor position but how do I add a character to that position. Like I want to have a button that adds a specific character at the position of the cursor.
I don't see any richtextbox properties that allow me to add anything at the cursor position.

I have looking for a tutorial or class that demonstrates more than a trivial example of saving a windows position on closing. The ones I have found don't seem to work on all systems because of:
1. Multiple monitors. (and resolution between those monitors)
2. Toolbar size and position (toolbar is only on the primary monitor, well sometimes)
3. Sometimes the programs dont open on the right monitor they were closed on.
Is there an extensive class or tutorial on all the stuff a programmer needs to get right to have a window size and position persisted between executions?

I'm trying to set hotkeys for all my favorite websites. When one of these hotkeys are pressed, I want it to load the assigned website in internet explorer, but I want internet explorer to load on my SECONDARY monitor. I've already set out the hotkeys to load internet explorer, but it loads on the wrong screen. How to check if an instance of IE is already running. To be a bit more specific: the secondary monitor is set to the LEFT of the primary one. And the resolution is at 1440 x 900. So basically, I want to programmatically set IE's position to (-1440, 0) from within my application itself.

how to find the row position/index in a data table, using a value from another table. For example, I use the row position from Linkingtable1 to get my value for CustomerID, but i want to use the CustomerID to search the CustomerTable for its row position, in order to show the Customers Name in a text box, As currently when loading the textbox shows the customerID. I understand the code to get the names from the rows in the datatable, its just finding the row position of the customerID.

I have created a maskedtextbox to do a simmple validation >L99999. My problem is when the user clicks on the empty box the cursor stays where they clicked it, not at the beginning of the box as it would with a normal textbox. I have found some suggestions but these all seem to affect the way the cursor moves within the box rather than just changing the start position. As far as the end user is concerned the box should behave just as any other textbox but with validation.

Vb.Net doesn't support this. I need it to store the x and y position of a certain pixel. I know i could just declare an x and y variable but i would rather use something like:

I have a form that I want to have a control box so you can close it at any time but I don't want it to be movable from its origainal position. It opens maximized and I want it to stay maximized. I've tried all the different FromBorderStyle options in properties and I've tried all the SizeGripStyle properties though I can't say I've tried all the combinations possible between those two but whatever I've tried I can always click on the border at the top and then the form breaks free from its starting position and when it does the vertical scroll bar disappears.
How can I have this form stay in place with the vertical scroll bar and the control box and not break free from its starting position if someone clicks on the border at the top? If I try FromBorderStyle None then I don't have control box to close it. I was looking at the form events list and I noticed when I break the form free by clicking on the border that that is a ClientSizeChanged event.

I'm outputting a number of variables to a text file and each field needs to be in a specific place.For example:I have a string that is varying in length, but will never be more than 5 characters. The string has to end on the 8th character of the line. Is there a way to write the string to ensure that the string ends at a specific place on the line, regardless of the length?

I am trying to read a file and note the last position in the file. The next time I look at it, I want to pick up where I left off. What I'm finding is that sometimes when it comes back to the file it is 2 characters further in than it should be. The code I am using is:
