I have made a program that uploads pictures to my website. But I have seen that there are loads of decriptors that can check my password. I have heard some people talking about encrepting and decripting but I have NO idea how I have to do that. I am working with a webclient as upload and I am using My.Computer.Network.UploadFile I need to make my password secure, so there is no way to get my password over that program.

I just started playing with VB, so please excuse my ignorance. I've been trying to find an answer in existing threads, but all the stuff there is very confusing to me.I wonder if somebody could create a complete code for me and paste it in an answer to this post.
Basically, what I need is: In VS 2010 - Windows form.
1. Click a button.
2. Grab all files from specified folder on my computer (different extensions = html, txt, bat and some other).
3. Load all the files to specified folder on FTP server replacing existing files without prompt.
4. Display confirmation if succesful or error message. (a progress bar would be handy, but this isn't crucial).
The folder on my computer is always the same folder The folder on the ftp server is always the same folder[URL]..I need to specify username and password for the FTP server
This should all happen without any input from the user - simply click and message saying 'it is done' once all the files were uploaded.
I have a folder named test. In this folder there are 3 folders(u_test1, u_test2, u_test3). And in this 3 folders are some files.
Now I need to transfer the folders u_test1, u_test2, u_test3 and the content of the folders to a ftp server.

Regular expressions operating on the source fall flat. Refactoring tools like Re-Sharper or CodeRush don't seem to offer this functionality. Visual Studio 2010 cannot do it automatically either.
I am creating a program that will assist users upload a file to a couple different upload sites. There will be RapidShare and Uploading. I want to keep the GUI clean and simple, so I do not want to use a web browser. I have not used much Post Data, but am wanting to use it for this job. What I want the program to do is after the user specifies a file, the program will automatically upload the file to the site.

I have a client app written in vb.net 2010 which communicates with my auth server via php scripts. I had found and used code previously that uploaded a single file to my server. I'm now trying to convert the headers and code to make it upload multiple files in a single query. The first code block will be the original code by the original author (from a different site), and the second code block will be my current nonfunctional code.
I'm about 99.9% sure the problem is with the header which is being submitted to the server.

It seems fields are initialized in the same order as they appear in the source code, which (a) leads to an unexpected result, and (b) seems a little puzzling, given that one is normally not permitted to read from uninitialized variables in .NET, yet that seems to be working fine above.I would've expected VB.NET to be smart enough to initialize referenced fields first, and only then those that reference it; i.e. I'd have liked to see this output instead:

I'm trying to create a table in Word using data from a table in Access. There are four fields in the access table that I need. 3 fields are text which I can populate the Word without any issues. However the fourth field is a memo with >255 characters.I'm struggling to come up with the proper code to allow me to populate the Word field with the memo data that has more than 255 characters. I need help with having a calculated date column in the datagridview that will be the textbox date + age (in days) in the datagrid column. I would also need this column to store in my database like any other field also. So if I typed in 2/17/11 into the textbox, and I typed in 2 in the age field, the calculated field would display and store 2/19/2011 in my datagrid and database. My dataset designer won't let me add a date to a string so I'm completely lost. A query calculates it easy in access but when I load the access query in my dataset it doesn't calculate anymore.

Anyways, I am still using Access for my databases and i am having a bit of trouble working with the data in VS 2010, what i would like is the following:
A way to form a string or integer from a SQL query (from a single field or multiple on that row) assuming the query will always return one row.
Then a way to write string or integer variables back in to db fields.
example:

I have just loaded an access 10.0 database into my VB project as a dataset.Two of the tables contain an Ole object field and an attachment field (the data in the fields are described by the field types). All of the data contained in either of these field types, when observed in the dataset, show a warning and indicate that it is unable to display that data. As might be expected, when the data is called in a gridview, anything from those fields throws errors.
I would like to know if there are any known issues with these types of fields and VB, and if so what might be done to resolve that.
