VS 2010 Paint Rectangle Image Distorts When Scrolling?
Oct 12, 2011
I have a tabcontrol that I am trying to paint the background with a gradient rectangle. It looks great when the tab loads, but when I scroll, the background distorts. below is the
Private Sub tabcontrol_Paint(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.Windows.Forms.PaintEventArgs) Handles PanelDataSheet.Paint
'Creating a new Rectangle as similar width and height of the datasheettab
Dim oRAngle As Rectangle = New Rectangle(0, 0, PanelDataSheet.Width, PanelDataSheet.Height)
correct way to draw rectangles onto a picturebox, and also to explain the paint event more clearly.Basically I have an application where a picturebox contains an image, this image is a small computer monitor as such:
The idea of this part of my application is that the user can draw small window size rectangles which represent windows later on. I have already used some excellent code on this forum to be able to draw the rectangles on the picturebox (As pictured above), the rectangle outline is drawn from MouseDown and MouseUp respectivley.
The problem I am encountering is with the 'repainting' of this rectangle. I have included code to repaint the rectangle in the Paint event of the picturebox. This works when you move the picturebox 'off screen' and bring it back. However when the form is re-sized or other various things occur the rectangle is not re-drawn? even though the picturebox 'appears' to be clean and always there!
My code is below, it is not full and complete, but the few main subs listed should give an indication as to how I am currently creating the rectangle:
Private Sub picboxAdvDisplay_MouseDown(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.Windows.Forms.MouseEventArgs) Handles picboxAdvDisplay.MouseDown 'Set the flag for Drawing enabled
[code]....
1. What is the CORRECT way to draw a rectangle onto a Picturebox?
2. How do you code so that the rectangle is ALWAYS visible/drawn on a form re-size, minimise, window overlap etc etc.
how would i paint an image onto a form according to the mouse position? i have a sprite and i want the front of the sprite to always face the mouse cursor.
I am using windows application vb.net 2008 . In that i am open an ms paint. When i am drawing something and clicking on save changes yes then it will require for save file. I want this drawing directly comes to the selected Richtextbox
currently im working on a tool which will capture screenshots. after taking screenshots it will save it as jpeg fiel. wat i need to do is if click button to the current image should open with MSpaint. So that the user can edit the image and can save it
i want to add a new floating rectangle with an image inside it to my form when i click on a button control and then use a timer control to move it in a straight line across the Form. the problems I'm having are:
1) Drawing and filling the RectangleF on the screen.
2) Animating/moving it from X1,Y1 to X2,Y2
3) Triggering the Drawing and movement with a Button Control
"Automatic Image-scroller". The scenario is quite simple. I've got one single picture, and it should move up and when it moves out of frame, the same picture would appear beneath itself and continue to move up. Kind of a loop. The problem is that i haven't got a single clue how to make it in code-behind nor XAML, but it has to written in "code-behind" cause of the things i'm hooking it up with.
I've got a basic idea of what i'm wanting to do, just been out of it too long to remember how to do it. I'm wanting to load an image, not display it. Get all the pixel data, then redraw the image pixel for pixel in mspaint.
I've got a panel in windows forms (Visual Studio 2008) which has a background image (A book shelf). When scrolling the image flickers and does not redraw so looks awfully - I've tried creating a new object to use double buffering but this has no effect,
I am using the following code to place a rectangle around a form / form control, however what I want to do is make my screen grey and only the form / form control area be displayed in colour.
Code:
I have googled for ages trying to find something on this, but with no luck.
To illistrate this better they are using the same functionality in snagit 10, please see below link to a page that has a video link showing this (23 sec into video)[url]
I have tried to realign the image by down and right one pixel, but still only part of the first row and column are visible when zoomed.I can't find exactly what I'm looking for online.
My computer is an HP-Pavillion dv9600 Notebook PC.
OS: Windows Vista SP2 32-bit
The following code reproduces the problem:
Public Class PictureBug Dim pxlColor As Color Dim img As Bitmap = New System.Drawing.Bitmap(My.Resources.TestBug[code]......
How can microsoft paint(or any other painting software) be included in a VB.net project? I need to used its functionalities to maipulate jpg and movie file. Is there any ways this can be done on VB.net (or Visual Studio).
After scouring the articles online I have come up with this design for a winforms based touchscreen app that needs smartphone like scrolling. The app itself will run on a tablet laptop or touchscreen desktop.I put everything I want to scroll on a panel. Set autoscroll to true (which will show scrollbars)Now put this whole panel inside a groupbox.Shrink the groupbox until the scrollbars are hidden (visually hidden, not visible = false)
Now the fun part I am stuck at.I think I have to handle the mousedown, mouseup & mousemove on the panel to set the autoscrollposition so that when someone touches the panel and drags, it does it's scroll magic. Please help fill in the few lines of code in below method stubs. The msdn doc on autoscrollposition is very confusing since it returns negative numbers but needs to be set to positive with abs and what not.
Point mouseDownPoint; Point mouseUpPoint; Point mouseDragPoint;[code]......
I currently have a label scrolling text, But for some reason it only displays Certain song titles/text. Does Anyone know why?!
Private Sub Button3_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Button3.Click OpenFileDialog1.ShowDialog() AxWindowsMediaPlayer1.URL = OpenFileDialog1.FileName
I am working with a picturebox and i am drawing lines during my paint event. My goal is too draw the lines and export the picturebox.image with the lines i drew out to a Everything seems to be working correctly so far. The code executes. A file is written. But it is always just the original image from the picturebox with no lines on it. I have setup the pictureboxes so i can see exactly where i am in the code when it trys to save. I can also verify that before i click the button that calls the save feature the lines are absolutely drawn in the picturebox.
I seem to remember someone telling me at some point that the lines i draw wih the paint event are not actually a part of the picturebox image but more an overlay on top of it. I think this may be my issue. Hopefully someone can shed some light on this.
Given a rectangle of width w and height h. and a coordinate x,y in that rectangle I would like to identify which triangle I am within.
i.e. the function should take parameters(x,y) and return a,b,c,d or a zero based number representing that triangle index i.e. (0=A,1=B,2=C,3=D) if they are in that order.
I think this would be something like >= the formula of the red line and >= the formula of the green line?
I am building an image processing program. As part of this, I have a picturebox, set to AutoSize.
When I load an image larger than the size of the picturebox's container the box automatically expands and shows scroll bars. This is what I want. I can scroll the picturebox using the mouse to click on these, but I would like to be able to scroll the image using the arrow keys. This poses a couple of problems:
1) finding what properties to change or events to raise when a key is pressed. It is a property of the picturbox, or a property of the container?
2) dealing with repeated scrolling while the arrow keys are held. I know I can use keydown to detect that an arrow key has been pressed, but how do I continue to scroll as long as the key is held down?
I want to make a panel scroll horotzional with a scrollbar. The panel will have images only (Maybe a label under each picturebox), and I don't have enough space for all the images, so I want to make it scroll horotzional.
I have template designer form with scroll bar and maximized mode in MID form. Now, when I click on any of the item of ListBox placed at the the middle of the form, form automatically scrolls to the selected item. Is there any way to prevent auto scrolling?
I'm noticing that sometimes strings drawn in a given column or row will be slightly over-antialiased or altogether clipped after scrolling horizontally or vertically.I can see that the quick way to clear this up is to send a final .Refresh() call to the DataGridView after completing the scroll. But, unlike the ReSize event for Forms, there doesn't seem to be a Begin and End Scroll event for controls, so I can't just send a .Refresh() to the DataGridView after scrolling.Does anyone have an idea how I might go about detecting when a scroll event has completed so I can send that final .Refresh() to the DataGridView?
