i'm having a problem with AxisX interval labels. I want my AxisX length to be exactly one minute and labels showing every 5 second. So it should be 12 labels all the time. But after that minute passes, I'm getting 13th, than 14th label and so on.

I have a P/L chart which has a left scale (Y axis) which starts from a negative value. I want to format the axis labels (the major tick mark labels) so that the negative ones are red.
Something like;

in runtime I can see that X-axis limits of my chart (minimum and maximum) are automatically changed as I insert points. That's nice. So I came to an idea to change that minimum and maximum values. I'm seeing a strange problem with the labels on the X axis of my charts. I've setup two chart areas and aligned them (which displays fine) and the user can manipulate the chart by selecting different date resolutions (Year, Month, Day, Week, Hour) and different time periods.
The issue I'm seeing is that if a user selects say Months as the date resolution the X axis label display is inconsistent. If a fairly broad range for the dates is selected the X axis displays absolutely fine but as the date range narrows the X axis starts to duplicate labels ( please see the attached images). The second Image had a date range of 1st of May to 1st of August and as you can see the labels are duplicated. This is my first go with the chart control so I could be missing something basic. [Code]

I have a windows forms project in VS2010 with a simple line chart.The data is dynamic and always ranging between 1.4000 and 1.5000.I want the Y axis's gridlines/labels to always be displayed on every #.##20 data point, as in: [code] So I tried the Interval property for the axis gridlines/ labels, setting it to 0.002, and the result was that the gridlines/labels were displayed every 0.0020 points, like for example this: [code]
but not on 0.0020 points too as shown previously.

View 2 RepliesI have some combo boxes that basically set labels and scale multiplication factors for an XY grid. The combo boxes themselves work as they should. Two adjust scale levels of the XY grid (label and multiplication factors) the other changes the Y axis units (Imperial/Metric). The issue comes when I try to replot old data... I have the data in the array and have confirmed it is accurate...but...
When I apply the appropriate value to combobox.selectedindex and then call the Sub that actually makes the scale changes, the selected index reverts to -1. Small Example.... (note consider all variables as public and all routines in a single class - ignore spelling - this is a quick subset recreation not a copy).

OK - so I did add some code..... I did not actually run this code, but this is essentially a snapshot of what fails....when I step through line by line, the selectedindex changes to -1 as soon as I step to the second line of the second 2 Subs BEFORE it processes the second line (i.e. always after I step off Private Sub xxx() ). Again, both UnitSet and LengthLabels work OK separately when called, it is ONLY when I set the selectedindex from a variable (and again, it DOES set OK) and then call these routines that the selectedindex goes to -1. I have read a bunch of stuff relating to selectedindex and selectedvalue resetting IF one or the other is blank, but I have tried setting both in testing and this fails too!!

I work in a company which has a standard of NET Framework 3.5.Also the company has bought Visual Studio 2010 Premium for me.I need to develop an application in which I have to insert som Charts. Previosly in Visual Studio 2008 Express was very simple because I have installed MSChart Addon from Microsoft.The problem with VS2010 Premium is that I cannot create aplication with charts in NET Framework 3.5, only in .NET 4 but I cannot develop solutions in NET Framework 4.0 because, like I have said, the company standard installation is NET Framework

I am having some major problems with the code in VBA and recording a macro didn't get me anywhere nor is the VBA help file. I have to have it so that I can input a values for the x axis rotation and the y axis rotation so that my 3d surface graph will rotate whatever values I input, the 3d surface graph will rotate those degrees. I also have to have a method for having the default rotation. I was also wondering how to put scroll bars for the x and y rotation. The only other thing I am having trouble with is having an input to check box for right angle axes. So far I have two cells for entering the x rotation value and the y rotation value. I also already have my 3d surface graph.

View 4 RepliesI have the smallest dataset in the world that simply consists of a month (text) and and amount. I want to produce a chart showing the month along the y-axis and the value up the x-axis. How do I do it? I have dragged the chart control onto the report page and populated the dataset. The chart shows but nothing like what I would expect. Just to make it simple I populated the dataset with an amount equivalent to the month number so it should show as 1 in January, 2 in Feb etc...However no matter where I drag the dataset's column names I don't get what I want. Where am I going wrong?

I created a program that has serval labels on a form and a listview object. It has a button that when clicked reads a textfile and loads up values in the listview object. I then can click and drag text from the listview box to any label on the form and then the program removes the value from the listview box. Now, my question is how can I instruct VB to save these values in the text property of the labels so that the next time the program is loaded the labels will contain the values loaded during the last run time session?
