VS 2010 is rather annoying in that its sub windows always seem to be moving about and I have to put them back where they belong. It seems that I've completely lost one window now however- its the one that should go below solution explorer/to the right of the error reporter where all the information for the highlighted entry is displayed. How do I get this back/restore defaults of the way things are displayed?

now I have a button what calls the sub "Call DrawPlayerCoordinates()".but now it gives an error because it don't know where to draw the string. So how do the code above know it should draw it on "frmMainGame" and not in a module what isn't possible?
Ok so on my project it seems the timer is not working correctly, the interval is set to 5000 (which is 5 seconds... right?) so every 5 seconds it would display a MsgBox telling me the current date/time and then a time in a list.

I am using the WebBrowser control with VB.Net (2010 Express) to get exchange rates from ft.com. (Note: I realise that there are simpler ways of getting exchange rates, but it is a learning exercise as much as anything else). I am navigating to a webpage, setting the values of a textbox and two listboxes, and then trying to get the resulting exchange rate which will be displayed as text. Trouble is, the result is not being displayed. I probably need to trigger an event to force the page to update, but I have tried this and it hasn't worked. [code] The 'onchange' event is intended to trigger an update, but it doesn't. I have tried a few variations without success (including "invokeMember"). So at the moment the amount and the to/from currencies are correctly set on the page, but the resulting rate is not shown.

when I test the program on my friend's pc it gives an error and does not display the image. ( and yes I already tried putting the executable in exactly the same folder as it is on my pc WITH the image folder.. )

I have a parent form, which can lanch a dialog box. A wrong selection in the box launches a message box with an error message. When the message box pops up, the dialog box disappears, so the messagebox is sitting on top of the parent form.Once the user clicks "OK" in the messagebox, the box disappears, and only the parent form remains.How do I make it so that the dialog box remains when the messagebox is displayed? And also, I want the dialog box to remain when the user closes the message box. The user should have the option to make the right selection in the dialogbox once the messagebox disappears.I tried to hunt for a property for the dialog box to achieve this, but couldn't find any.
Here is the code in the parent form to lauch the dialog box, and to also launch the messagebox, when the user has made a selection in the dialogbox:[code]Am I having this problem because all the code to launch the dialog and message boxes reside in the parent form? If I put the code to launch the messagebox in the dialog box, would that make the dialog box persistent when the messagebox is launched? Why can't I declare values for an array inside a module?
View 2 RepliesSo I have an .aspx page loading up and populating drop downs based on a lookup table in the database. What we want is for the user to be able to configure which of these values comes defaulted by specifying that value in a drop down somewhere else in the app. Now, it's easy to default the "first" value, or something like that, but we want this to act differently. Is there a JavaScript function that can run immediately after onLoad (so the drop downs are populated already), that can go through the drop down and make one of those default so it looks like the page is loading with that set as default and people don't realize the workaround? (weird masking, etc.)

So in the begining each box will be invisible and when you click the button the corresponding group box will become visible. Is there any other way?It will be like a background image and it'll have buttons that will mask it with invisible buttons. when the button is clicked it will open the corresponding group box.

View 2 RepliesI am trying to make a Windows Form in VS 2010 that is used to determine whether someone is entitled to a prize/medal/award whatever you want to call it. So basically if someone clicks on a check box to say they attended an event and they enter a date range between saying they attended the event between 01/01/2010 - 01/02/2010 and the requirement for the award is that they attended the event for more than 20 days then because the statement is true I would want a box to pop up and say person is entitled to receive a particular award. There are multiple awards available based on different conditions so to be eligible for so the result would be dependent upon which boxes and date ranges are selected.So For Award1 the logical argument is something along the lines of
IF Event1CheckBox = Checked AND
Attendance => 20
Result = Entitled to Receive Award1 Else = Not Entitled To Receive Award1

I have a text box which has a Ajax calendar extender attached. You click on the text box, the calendar pops up, you select a date and that gets displayed in the text box. That all good but the date is displayed in mm/dd/yyyy format. Can this be changed?

My next task is to populate the phone number (MaskedTextBox) and phone number type (ComboBox) when the cursor has lost focus from a ComboBox that has auto complete functionality. I have tried to do it and when the cursor leaves focus, the other controls are not populated. Nothing happens. I do not get any errors either. Screen shot attached for the form and I am also using a stored procedure to do this. There are two tables in question here. A client table that the name and phone number and then the second table that has the phone number type (cell, work, home, etc).There is an FK relationship between the two.

I want my application to open a web page that has an iframe within it named "test_iframe". Now I want to obtain the text being displayed in test_iframe. How do I get this content (I dont need the HTML code, only text being displayed in that page). Also if the iframe is hidden, can I obtain the content in such a scenario also?
