VS 2010 Using Datagridview To Show Some Table Data From Database?

I am using Datagridview to show some table data from database. It is working but its appearance is not what i am looking for.Is there a way to edit columns and rows manually ?This is a list of what i want to do :
1. First of all i want to change column captions. because they are like "Fld_name" etc.
2. There is a column that shows date. I want to write a code for it ( convert date type )
3. I want to add a button at the end of each row and write a code for it ( show detail about that record )

I'm quite new into the programming game, I've been working on this program for a few weeks now, and its coming along, but the method I searched for entering new rows of data into my table doesn't seem to update my tables after I try entering data. I have a feeling it may be something very simple that i am over looking.

currently i had a program which working fine when its running in the solution explorer,but after published,problem comes.my datagridview cant show updated data while my database access already update...my datagridview only show existed data.could it be my datagrid problem?i get my data programmatically or is my INSERT command doesn't update the dataset?but in the solution explorer does show the dataset was updated. I have made DataGridView in the designers and connected an Access database to the datagridvies and the Column headers appear as they should and when I check in preview mode all the fields are correctly populated. However, the DataGrid is not populated in normal mode at all. I have been trying to run the project but nothing is happening. What can I do to populate the field.

The remarked area works fine when I'm accessing a specific table. I've successfully inserted the products_model field into the combobox too. The datagridview does show the table names in the db using the SHOW TABLES sql statment, but I'm not understanding how to get this info into the combobox instead.

Is it possible to manually save data from my dataGridView to my SQL server database table?
if it is possible can some please tell me how to do it because i don't like using the data sets and reader VB has because it doesn't give me full control over the procedure.

I found a sample of how to display data from a table in to a datagrid using VB.
con.Open()
Dim reader As SqlDataReader = _
cmd.ExecuteReader()
DataGrid1.DataSource = (reader.GetSchemaTable())
reader.Close()
But this just displays the details of the table columns. For example row 1 has details about usrID, row 2 usrTel ect rather than the actual data of the table.

I am trying to fill a datagridview with data from a SQL database.The dgv will print rows and values where each row is a different category.

Why does it only print all the rows for each DS (different sizes/colors) only if there are more then one DS? (if there is only 1 DS it will only print one row, regardless of different colors/sizes but if there is 2 DS, it will print all the values from the first DS)I have gotten a massive headache from trying to figure out these 2 problems. If any1 can help I would be very grateful. Please let me know if you need anymore info (SQL tables, data), and I'll put them up.

I'm using VB studio express 2008. I have created a combo box which the user uses to search a client, how do i program it so that when the client is highlited in the combo box it will show in a listbox with all the details of this client wich has been added previously to the database.
in short..
User browse a client in combo box. Selects a client. Information is shown in a listbox. example. telephone number, address, ect.

I need to pupulate a Grid, but i like to do like Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio, when you make a Select to a table with bounch of rows, it start show the result but in the botton still retriving data.So you can start looking the data, not like you get the data and after you get the last row you can asing to the Grid.

I want to (SQL) select from a table in an Oracle database, and show the results of the query in the VB application, in a Excel like manner (rows, columns, selectable, etc.). Or in a SQL developer manner. How can I do that? Browsed through a lot of tutorials and howtos on the internet, did not get anywhere. I think (and correct me if I am wrong) that it's gotta be something with DataGridView. But I don't know how to create and populate a datatable with the result of as Select statement, how to create a dataset.

I have two data tables. the second related to the first. Using a datagridview for the first table I am able to enter and save data ok. if I run the code twice in a row the data is still there. When I edit the data in the related table in it's own datagirdview the data is there and displays correctly, but on running the code a second time the related data is lost. In both cellendedit events I am using

I have a datagridview.And as per my requirement the data is supposed to be filled from three different tables in database.I have created the query and is succesfully able to populated the data in it with the cross join.Have a look at my structure.
Table1,Table2,Table3.
table1 has 2 records.
Table2 has 7 records.
and Table 3 has 15 records.
