So basically I create a node, make 3 children to that node, and change the text if the first child to "FirstNode".

Feb 9, 2011Ok, so I know I have to change the labeledit to true but that doesn't change the selected node to be able to edit, so how does that work?
Along with renaming I have it set to that a user can add a node. So once the node has ben added how do I let them rename it as it is being added and without being a prompt or inputbox? So lets say I cam clicked on a parent and they click add node, it adds it to parent but I have it so it is default "New" but I want them to edit it as it is added. I think it will be along the same lines as clicking on one and rename but I have to start some place.

Aug 8, 2011I m making a "offline viewer" which uses saved webpages. I'm using a web browser and a tree-viewer. Is there a way to make the selected node in the tree viewer change if you click on a link in the web page (i.e if you select a link about The Gimp on tutorial 176, the selected node will change to The Gimp tree node)
I know about the code for changing the tree node selection, however what I'm having trouble with the web-browser side of it.

Nov 26, 2011i have a treeview which has a bunch of parent and child nodes preset at design time, there is 1 parent node tho which is called developer, that i want to add child nodes to at runtime.When the form first loads im trying to have it check a text file and for each line in the text file add the text/string from that as a child node tot he 'developer' parent node.

ASP.Net Treeview Truncates Node Text
Nov 15, 2011I have a treeview on my ASP.Net page and for some reason the text on some nodes gets cut off, I am programatically adding all the nodes and am aware of the existing issue listed here: [URL] however I am not changing the font and as you see in the code below this fix does not work for me.

The strange thing is that this issue only appears in IE, I have tested it in chrome and Firefox and both browsers display the text perfectly.
When I select a node this fixes the problem and all text displays as normal.

Aug 2, 2009how I can add a tree node with 2 lines of text, OR how to add a non-collapsable childnode to an existing child node. Basically my treeview consist of a list of groups, and inside each group is the contacts that belong to that group. Im trying to append a line of text to the existing contact when their status changes to busy, or not available.

What happens when I try to add the child node to the existing child node is it gives me the + sign so it can be collasped! I want the child node to be visible at all times. So it looks like this

Jun 27, 2009I want to add nodes that behave in a similar fashion as when you add new folders in windows explorer. i.e. right click > new folder > then the new folder is added and highlighted as New Folder so that as soon as the user types they are overwriting the folder name.
I can add a new node as a child node of the node I have selected and label it "New Node" but I can't figure out how to select the new node and have it highlighted so that when the user types, they are overwriting the "New Node" text.
I have tried this but it doesn't work.

Feb 15, 2010I have a function to rename a TreeView Node to a TextBox text.. When the user clicks a button with a little icon on it, a new Node is created. It is called Graphic_(0,1,2 ect.) So it changes the number to the TreeView Node count.
E.g

Graphic_1
ect.
But, the user can also Delete the nodes and Rename them..
Sooo... the problem is, that if the user renames a previous Node, and calls it Graphic_ and then the NEXT number to occur, 2 Nodes will be the same, and I don't want that.
E.g

Graphic_4 <<<< User renames to up coming node number..
Graphic_3
So what I want is to prevent 2 Nodes being the same.. how do I change the UPCOMING Node name to the missed out Node, in our example: Graphic_2.
