Web Browser Finding Specific Information?

I really have some question regrading web browser, and i don't understand why am i getting this error
"Object reference not set to an instance of an object."

I wonder if it is possible to find a specific row and specific columns in data base file (Access) . You see , I am using a DataGridView control to show only SOME of the columns (fields) of a table from an Access file . For example , lets say that in the DataGridView control I only show the following fields :Field1 , Field2 and Field3 .Now , when the user selects an entry in the DataGridView control , I want to insert the text from Field4 into a text box on the form .
The problem , however , is that I don't know how to get the specific row in the data base file and also I don't know how to get the text in column (field) Field4 of that row .One thing that might be important is that the index of the row in the data base file is not necessarily the same with the index of the current row in the DataGridView control . This is because in the DataGridView control the rows are order by the contents in the ID Field .ol .

What I want to do is when I click on each grid on the form (Touch Screen), a tooltip of some stored information about the grid appears on screen. For example, if I click my mouse on square 6,8 then some stored information such as grid number, grid name, level...etc appears on the tooltip on the screen.

I have been searching a lot online but couldn't find a solution for my problem. I want it to refresh every certain interval of time without this message to display. Now Ican't minimize my program because I'm putting an automatic Sendkeys.send("{Enter}") after the refresh to get rid of that message by clicking on "Retry".And If I minimize it the Enter will be executed on the active Window, which might be any other Window.
I hope that you understand what I mean, If not, I will clarify more.

I think VB has a way of doing this, but for the life of me I can't find it. I want to search through a string for anything contained between two certain characters, e.g between 2 | characters. I'm not sure if I want to split the string at this point, but I only want anything contained between the two | markers. So for example if the string reads |ABC|DEF I only want to retrieve the ABC, but not the DEF as it's not completed yet.

I am having issues finding resources detailing building Speech Recognition grammars using VB.NET, Speech.Recognition.GrammarBuilder, and .NET 4.0. I have found a few examples on the Internet, but they seem to just go over the basics. Does anybody know where I can find a good source on detailed information, as well as Speech development in general. I mostly see links to class definitions, but no explanations and discussions.

Using VB.NET i want find a specific string that occurs in column B of an Excelsheet and copy that entire row and paste it in a new worksheet. This string occurs a couple of times in this B column.I know how to open up an excel sheet in VB but I'm having difficulties searching for the string and then copying that entire row and do it multiple times (loop until the end of the column)

I have an assignment due tomorrow, and I thought I had it all figured out but there is one question I don't know how to program. The assignment consists of a form with textboxes in which the user types info about a book (author, title, genre, etc.), which he can save to a textfile by clicking the save button. (At the moment it's not saving it to a textfile but just a 'file', which can be opened with notepad but is of no specific datatype, not sure how I do that, but is less important). There is also a button with which the user can display information from a different, earlier created textfile.[code]

I am trying to input specific information on a form. I have created an sql statement from a table that will out put 18 rows of data. I have opened a recordset and instituted a do until loop. I need for the program to look at each row and if the Standard Score = the value of a field I have on the form it takes the value of the other three columns in updates it on the form. I have created the code and it works for upto 3 (Do Until loops)records, but when I try to add a 4th in the SQL statement and put in another do loop my computer runs it but it acts as if it freezes up.

I'm just starting out with vb and am working on a single form project.
Basically I'm trying to take information entered in a textbox on the main forum, Appear in a tab control at the bottom of the forum through the use of a button.
As far as I can tell, I need to code the onclick button portion of it but am unsure about how to pass the information to the specific label in the tab control.

I have incorporated a 3rd party program in my project to run at certain times, but when this 3rd party program is ran, it opens an instance of IE every time it is ran. I dont want this ie open when my program is running. So i was hoping to incorporate code that will close that IE page when it opens. It has the same Title every time it opens. is there code that can sniff out the title of an IE browser window and then close it?

I am wondering how I can select and pull specific bits of data from a block of information a user pastes into a textbox. For example, the information has fixed words and is always in the same format, but the numbers relating to the words may be different. One report might say, for example, Cars: 1.176 and another may say Cars: 863. How do I pull the information about the "cars" from a the block of text with the number value even though it can be different each time?
I must note that there are many many of these scattered throughout the average report and I need to pull the values of each of them in a single click, then paste those values into a different area on the form.

Is there a way to have your program automatically create a proxy for a specific browser, like IE, when your app is running? I was thinking that maybe you could create a VLAN proxy or something and a button on the app to toggle it on and off. But I'm not sure how or if one can do it.

I currently have a XML file for an application I am developing. I have built a a XMLFile.GetContent function to read my XML File and load the content into a set of specific objects. These objects are then added to a collection and passed back to the main code to be loaded into the memory of the application.I am looking for a dynamic way of loading the information from the XML file into a specific Object Property.
