What I want to do is when I click on each grid on the form (Touch Screen), a tooltip of some stored information about the grid appears on screen. For example, if I click my mouse on square 6,8 then some stored information such as grid number, grid name, level...etc appears on the tooltip on the screen.

I want to show some forms but I want them to appear on specific locations . The problem is I don't know how to specify the coordinates . Using :
frm.Location = "0,0"
or
frm.Location = (0,0)
tell what is the correct syntax ?
And more thing : when a form is maximized or minimized , it looks like "flying" upwards or downwards . Is it possible to stop that visual efect ?

I am looking for any assistance on the best method to accomplish this task. I need to take a comma delimited text file, load it into memory, and then grab indevidual columns of data and export them to a file.[code]I need to for this project I ma working on grab ALL of COL C for example and export it and the data to that column to a file. Can someone provide me with assistance on the best and easiest method on doing this? I know I can do it with a lot of parse text's and many methods of using a listbox or arrays but I'd like to explore some options.

[URL] In my Windows Form, I wanted the user to give an option to draw all over the form. But, if the user while drawing, enters the region 1, I want to assign a value to variable, say a=1. Correspondingly, if the user without leaving the mouse button previously enter the region 4, I want to b=1.After the user leaves the mouse button, I wanted to compare a and b. I am trying to input specific information on a form. I have created an sql statement from a table that will out put 18 rows of data. I have opened a recordset and instituted a do until loop. I need for the program to look at each row and if the Standard Score = the value of a field I have on the form it takes the value of the other three columns in updates it on the form. I have created the code and it works for upto 3 (Do Until loops)records, but when I try to add a 4th in the SQL statement and put in another do loop my computer runs it but it acts as if it freezes up.

I'm just starting out with vb and am working on a single form project.
Basically I'm trying to take information entered in a textbox on the main forum, Appear in a tab control at the bottom of the forum through the use of a button.

I am wondering how I can select and pull specific bits of data from a block of information a user pastes into a textbox. For example, the information has fixed words and is always in the same format, but the numbers relating to the words may be different. One report might say, for example, Cars: 1.176 and another may say Cars: 863. How do I pull the information about the "cars" from a the block of text with the number value even though it can be different each time?
I must note that there are many many of these scattered throughout the average report and I need to pull the values of each of them in a single click, then paste those values into a different area on the form.

I wonder if it is possible to find a specific row and specific columns in data base file (Access) . You see , I am using a DataGridView control to show only SOME of the columns (fields) of a table from an Access file . For example , lets say that in the DataGridView control I only show the following fields :Field1 , Field2 and Field3 .Now , when the user selects an entry in the DataGridView control , I want to insert the text from Field4 into a text box on the form .
The problem , however , is that I don't know how to get the specific row in the data base file and also I don't know how to get the text in column (field) Field4 of that row .One thing that might be important is that the index of the row in the data base file is not necessarily the same with the index of the current row in the DataGridView control . This is because in the DataGridView control the rows are order by the contents in the ID Field .ol .

I currently have a XML file for an application I am developing. I have built a a XMLFile.GetContent function to read my XML File and load the content into a set of specific objects. I only want specific columns to show up in my DataGridView, so I run a dynamic sql query to select specific columns from a table on a sql server(I know its slow, but its only used once a day). However, every column from the table shows up in the datagrid, and I can't figure out what i'm doing wrong.

I have a dataset called KeyData made up of two tables Customers and Orders.
I have two forms, one named MainForm that shows records from Customers in details view and the related Orders shown in GridView called OrdersDataGridView. The other form is called OrdersForm and is populated with the Orders table from the keydata dataset and shows records in details view.
When I navigate the MainForm customer records the correct orders are shown in the OrdersDataGridView. So far so good.
Here's the code that was generated when I dropped the tables within KeyData dataset onto the MainForm:
