I'm trying to enter new information in a specific node in a xml file. This is the structure of the xml file:

How would I update <Title 2></Title 2> field?

I bring this file into a dataset in visual Studio. The problem ixs that I cannot associate a particular set of options with a particular line item - I can't distinguish Item num="0" from Item num="1" and so forth, because the element 'Item' presents itself as a table withing the dataset, and the element 'Option' also presents itself as a table within the dataset. I don't know how to connect the two.

I have a text box where i am entering numbers of double datatype andon the Keytdown event of the textbox some checks take pace and in certain circumstances I want to be able to stop the user from entering other information until they enter the right information in the textbox (where it says right here) . now when I say exit sub the textbox somehow loses focus . but this is not how I want it to be I want the textbox to remain with the focus so the user can change the information . How can i go about this. And the other thing is why is my txtDestPayRate1.Focus() just befor the exit sub not working?

What I want to do is when I click on each grid on the form (Touch Screen), a tooltip of some stored information about the grid appears on screen. For example, if I click my mouse on square 6,8 then some stored information such as grid number, grid name, level...etc appears on the tooltip on the screen.

I have two XmlDocuments that both have a namespace attribute specified. Both documents have the same structure, but contain different data. I can't seem to get a specific node tree from one document added to the end of the same node tree in a second document. Here is an example of my two documents:

I certainly know this is wrong... I've tried serveral different approaches. This particular approach adds all <Item> nodes to the destination document, but it adds them to the very bottom of the document instead of after the last <Item>. how to add a specific node tree an XmlDocument to a specific position in another document? Again, there is a namespace involved and the <Item> nodes have nested nodes/elements under each one.
NOTE: The <Id> nodes have example data to show uniqueness only. I can never count on any kind of numbering. The order of each <Item> node is totally unimportant. I'm just assuming it will be easiest to add additional <Item> nodes after the last one in the destination document.

how can I insert node in specific position. I am using XMLnode.appendChild method for insertion Do I need to rearrange/sort nodes after insertion. How can I determine what is structure and how should I find where the new node should be added according to current document structure.

Below is a condensed version of a XML file provided by a different business unit. What I need to get the value of is DriverInputSetGoodStudent.
This is how I am approaching this:

That gets me the first vehicle in the XML, so then I will know the ID of the driver of that vehicle based on the GoverningDriverIdInfo/ItemId. Then I need to match that ID with the id property of the driver node. Then get the value of the DriverInputSetGoodStudent node.

when i enter information into the overall textbox say like 4.0 the calcuation should pick it up as 10.0 but its just taking the the 4.0 instead of the 10.0 in the select case. How do i get it to take 10.0 instead of 4.0. here is my code,

So what i have is textbox1 textbox2 and richtextbox1 I want to enter information into textbox1 and textbox 2 and then hit submit so it records the data in the richtextbox as if it is a chart.
My current code for this is RichTextBox1.Text = TextBox1.Text & (" | ") + TextBox2.Text & (" | ") + "Pending"
But every time you hit submit it erases the current data and puts the new one. i want it to record it on 1 line, then when u hit submit again it will go to the next line in the richtextbox and record the textbox information on that line and so on.
I am creating a update member page. I would like the page to auto retrieve the information he or she originally used while registering on my site and display them into the individual textboxes of the update profile page, this is to prevent the hassle to rekey in every individual details and allow the user to edit what he or she wants before it is updated into the database. This code correctly takes me through the various forms until it reaches the Input General Information Form, which opens with the top TextBox in focus. However the entry, "Escravos Gas to Liquids", is placed in the last TextBox.How do I make it enter in the first TextBox, which is in focus? I am using VB2005 and trying to put an application together.What it needs to do is retrieve information from a binary file, possibly alter that information, and put it back into a new file.The file is a .wav file with data appened to the end. There is an additional section at the end of the .wav file which stores xml data.I have found that if I open this in a hex editor and make a 1:1 swap on any of the bytes that the application that the file is for can still read the XML.If I tried to add or remove characters from the XML then it would not read. I located a header byte and incremented it to resolve this.
This worked as an excellent bandage to do conversions where the data always needed to be changed to the same thing.What I have been asked to do is build logic that allows for different things to happen depending upon what data is contained within the file.The method that I am currently trying to impliment is:
Read through the file with a system.io.binaryreader
Searche for a bytestream that will signal data is coming

If I proceed with this method, I will have to read the file one time to gather the information and then a second time to write it all out with the header modified for length.This is my first experiene with working with binary files in this way.Also,I've been experiementing with building a string and slapping it back in at the end using the binarywriter.write(string) method.I noticed that it was putting in header characters before the string.These seem to change if I change the length of the string.At one point it was d0 07. Later it became e7 07. Does anyone know of a way to prevent this header from being inserted?
I tried a for each loop to grab all of the characters from the string, convert them to a byte array and deposit the byte array into the file, but the header remained the same. When I write the byte array generated from a system.io.binaryreader I do not get this header.
