I am using the following code to send an email through Outlook, but I want the email to be saved in a predefined directory. Under the Sent Items folder I have a sub folder called "Simon". What I want is when the email is sent for the email to be saved here.I have tried using the following code, but it appears that it does not use string values to specify the folder location but a value. I am unable to determine what value the "Sent Items\Simon" folder is.
MailFolder = tempNS.GetDefaultFolder(Outlook.OlDefaultFolders.olFolderSentMail & "\Simon")
Dim tempNS As Outlook.NameSpace
Dim MailFolder As Outlook.MAPIFolder

I have a utility that is a simple exe that is not installed compiled with VS2005 and works well. But when I upgraded to VS2008 the utility can no longer locate files in the active system folder. I have UAC turned off and am logged in as the Administrator and it still can not locate a file that I can see in Windows Explorer. The file I am looking for is PakMgr.exe.

I have a vb .net application where the user can choose a directory into which an excel file is written. If the user selects a system directory (yes, my users do this, don't ask me why) then a System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException is thrown at runtime. I am handling this exception telling the user to please select another directory.

My code is as follows:

I want to copy files with a specific extension (for example .config or .exe). It should create a structure of nested directories, and then insert each file into a specified place in the directory hierarchy. Ideally I would just specify a parent directory for each file and a parent directory for each directory and it would build it.
I need any existing utility or batch file or power-shell script or C#/VB .Net code to perform this activity.

What is the best and fastest way to find the exact location(Drive/Folder) of a specific file, without scanning the whole drive. Right now, I am using those two instructions to locate EXCEL.EXE so I can properly call it with a shell command.[code]It is quite a long process, and I have to deal with some access denied folder like System Volume Information. I managed to create a folder in the my documents folder by typing the path name and the variable from which the folder must be named. So for example the folder variable1 was created. I want to save a file in that folder and i want the filename to be the date. I managed to do that as well but instead of saving the file into variable1 it is being saved into the my documents folder with filename: variable1(date).

Is there anyway to save a thumbnail of an image, then save it so that, when viewed through My Computer, the thumbnail is displayed for the file. Basically, what I mean is to do something similar to the way you can see a preview of a pdf file, or Microsoft Word file, or Microsoft Expression Design file. I want to be able to open the file's containing folder, then switch to thumbnail view, and the thumbnail will be displayed as the image for the file.
