Is there a way to make VB automatically copy the desired style sheet to the xml folder and add the style sheet line to the xml documents generated during a build?
my VB.Net desktop app writes to an Excel file. I need to set the style to a row. I can read a style of one row, but am unable to set the style in another.
I am trying to get an explorer window t display a certain view style when opened withwebbrowser1.navigate("C:\Myfolder") right now it seems to default to a folder view syle of Tile.I snagged some code from MSDN from a Martin Xieand that "sort of" works but the icons appear all wonky. Icons appear extra large and its sort of meh. "smallicons" doesnt work at all.So I thought instead I could somehow just do a sendkey string sort of like
I've got a list view that opens items inside a folder and displays them. I want to know if there is a way to have the list view display the icons aswell, maybe using shell32 or an imagelist. Here's the
Basically, I have a Web Browser object on a Visual Basic form. However, about 5 seconds after it finishes loading ANY webpage, the entire program stops responding. I figured the issue was related to internet explorer, so I updated to Internet Explorer 9 Beta and the issue is fixed (this is a very strange fix)!!! However, Internet Explorer 9 is not available for Windows XP. what might be causing this and a possible solution for computers that are running XP?
I'm not able to find my answer from threads.I want close the loading of web page when it take more of tot seconds...(if is possible with a Firefox or IE)
StrAdrress = "http://www.google.com" Try System.Diagnostics.Process.Start(strAddress.Trim) Catch ex As Exception MsgBox(ex.Message, MsgBoxStyle.Critical, "Error") End Try
Threading.Thread.Sleep(50000) So you can see I wait 50 seconds now..Is it possible to convert this code in : if the page not load in 10 seconds, stop load, close the tab and open another tab with another address?

how to get my program to submit user data into a login form and then wait until the next page is done loading so that it can examine the contents of the page and determine whether the login succeeded or failed. Here's my current code:
Public Class Dialog1 Private Sub Dialog1_Load(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles MyBase.Load
I'm trying to login to a website wait for the page to finish loading then navigate to a page in this website. Here is what I came up so far Public Class Form1 Private Sub Button1_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Button1.Click WebBrowser1.Document.GetElementById("nickname").SetAttribute("value", "user")H [Code] ...... How to use the documentcompleted?
I'm trying to see if a file I have loaded is located in the "Xampp-localhost-folder".
I'm loading a php-file-path into a textbox. After pressing a button the php file is loaded in a webbrowser. Now here's a problem. .PHP-files don't load local. The user needs to have at least Apache (MySQL/PHP/FileZilla FTP Server etc) installed so the page can be loaded via localhost.
The most important service that needs to be running is httpd.exe (Apache) or FileZillaServer.exe.
Public Function ProcessesRunning(ByVal ProcessName As String) As Integer Try Return Process.GetProcessesByName(ProcessName).GetUpperBound(0) + 1
I like to make an console application to measure the time it takes to fully load a web page, what's the best approach to do that? The purpose of this small app is to monitor some pages in a website, in a predetermined interval, in order to be able to know beforehand if something is going wrong with the webserver or the database server. It would be nice to be able to measure the time it takes to fully load the the page (images, css, javascript, etc). I have some code but I is not measuring the fully page.
Dim sw As New System.Diagnostics.Stopwatch Dim req As System.Net.HttpWebRequest = CType(HttpWebRequest.Create("[URL]"), HttpWebRequest) sw.Start() Dim res As System.Net.HttpWebResponse = CType(req.GetResponse(), HttpWebResponse) sw.Stop() Dim timeToLoad As TimeSpan = sw.Elapsed
How can I stop users from clicking into a webbrowser until the webpage has completely finished loading ?Until the webbrowser DocumentCompleted event has completed users should be able to see the page but not click into the control.
I am trying to get ALL these input values and only these values in a checkedlistbox..... <input type="hidden" value="20904198" class="userid"> <input type="hidden" value="tj... " class="firstName"> </td></tr><tr>
I have a web page that reads xml files to display server statistics. Ideally i want the users to be able to setup and save multiple connections to different servers. They would then be able to choose which server they wish to view through a asp.net web page.
I have a list of data which needs to be inputted into many different fields on a webpage. usually about 1000 or so and i am trying to automate this using vb.net but i couldn't find a better solution than using appactivate and sendkeys. this solution definitely isn't very accurate and reliable.
is there another, better way of accomplishing this?is there a way to find certain input fields on a webpage, set focus to it and input data in a more reliable way? the way i have it written at the moment is appactivate and tab to certain fields and input data using sendkeys.
I have written an application that lets me track work crews as they move from one job site to another. It runs on my local computer as a windows form. The form displays labels with the job site and crew names on them. The application is written using VB.net 2003. What I would like to do is see what is displayed on that form from another computer in a different office. Is there a way that I can use a web page to display what is on the windows form?
I have been wanting to make a file downloader (enter the website link, it browses files, with the Filter you give it, then has a download link for each file.) I haven't coded VB since 2006 and can't even remember the basic code.

Ive been working on a checkbook application for my visual basic class and I'm a little stumped..
To preface, the values I need to mess with include:
transaction type (checking or deposit) DTP check number ("dep" if deposit)
[Code].....
Below is the Change I need to make to my program...
"You will create a set of either collections or arrays (your choice but use just one or the other--don't mix them) scoped at the form/module level. These structures will store all of the input data needed for your checkbook transactions except for the running balance which will continue to be stored in a single module-scoped variable. That is, every input that users made in Assignment 3 will be stored in one of these arrays but you will not store any calculated values. You will not store the transaction type but will store "Dep" or a number in the check number array which will also indicate the transaction type. The Record button will add the current sale's data to these structures using either ReDim for the arrays or an appropriate technique for the collections. (You must ReDim your arrays so that the have just enough space for the data that is in them. Declaring the arrays with a large size with no facility to resize them is not allowed. Don't forget to use the ReDim Preserve syntax to retain the existing array contents when you resize them.)"
I don't know if I make a single array for all the values or if I create a separate one for each. If its a separate one for each I don't understand why an array is needed.
Ok, as you can see I am totaly new with Visual Basic. I have learned all those loops, if&else statements, byval, byref and etc. But now, I want to create this kind of application. I have 3 textboxes. One will contain URL, second username, and last password. There is a listbox also and a button. I want when user add a values inside textboxes , that values go to listbox as one variable and then save those settings for user so when he start up application again there are saved variables inside listbox. I just dont know how to do that.
I know the code to find the input boxes in question.. basically the html is like so HTML <input type="text" name="username" class="inputbox"> i know enough to use WebBrowser1.Document.Forms.GetElementsByName("username") to find the text box...but I need to know how to send the contents of say TextBox1.text to the form on the web page...i can't figure it out for crap...I just assume give up and use sendkeys to tab to the textbox even thought its 80% unreliable....
i have a pretty simple registration wizard form. this is an mvc3 azor project written in vb.my last step displays a partial view with the user's entered details. since the partial can take a split second to load, the form looks odd until it does - a blank form with a couple of buttons. is there a clean, proper way to display a little loading image/message while the partial is loading so it's obvious to the user he/she needs to hold on a sec.
my code for the register view:
$(function () { $(".wizardstep:first").fadeIn(); // show first step // attach back button handler
[code]....
the partial view for now is just a dummy display of the model elements.
I can't find any way of loading all files with e.g (.txt) from a specific directory: C:UsersChristianDocumentsMy Logs I use Visual Basic 2008 .NET, this is how I try to get it:
1. When the form loads it should retrieve the full path and title of the files and then put them in the List View control.
2. When the user marks one file in the list view and then clicks a button the text content should be displayed in a multi line textbox.
I'm currently working on my personal html editor. i have it where i can preview the page in a webbrowser. on maximized screen i can see the entire page as is. is it possible to keep the webbapage viewed, as viewed maximizied, in a resized browser with this size: 201, 106.
i know i won't be able to read much of the text, i just want to see the page preview, image location, etc. just a browser with view zoom properties.
