What i am trying to achieve is that if listbox2 contains checkedlistbox1 items then checkedlistbox1 should retain checked state even after the from is closed and re-opened again.
Since i am saving the checkedlistbox1 values into a Table - is it possible to bind those to retain the checked state even after the from is closed and re-opened again - or it can be done comparing the values from both listboxes [code]...

View 2 RepliesI have a list of data which needs to be inputted into many different fields on a webpage. usually about 1000 or so and i am trying to automate this using vb.net but i couldn't find a better solution than using appactivate and sendkeys. this solution definitely isn't very accurate and reliable.
is there another, better way of accomplishing this?is there a way to find certain input fields on a webpage, set focus to it and input data in a more reliable way? the way i have it written at the moment is appactivate and tab to certain fields and input data using sendkeys.

View 7 RepliesI know the code to find the input boxes in question.. basically the html is like so HTML <input type="text" name="username" class="inputbox"> i know enough to use WebBrowser1.Document.Forms.GetElementsByName("username") to find the text box...but I need to know how to send the contents of say TextBox1.text to the form on the web page...i can't figure it out for crap...I just assume give up and use sendkeys to tab to the textbox even thought its 80% unreliable....

I cannot seem to get it to work in one code routine. I end up having to have a separate button to set the date after the page has loaded. I have tried all the blog posts using isbusy, timer etc but it does not seem to work. The code breaks and the error prompt says that id_pickupdate does not exist.

I am having a issue when navigating to a URL that requires the user to log-in before proceeding. The system we are logging into takes care of going to the log-in page and then back to the page I specified. But when I navigate (webbrowser.navigate = ...) to the web page it locks up the form until the method is complete. But I want to wait in that method until after the user logs in and then the window is redirected, and I want to make sure they got there. I am going to need to do this multiple times during the program. Is there another method I should use? I would prefer to use the embedded web window in VB2005.

I then display this information in a data grid view. From here I would like to be able to click on a URL link and open the web page without activating any active content (such as java script, activex, viruses etc). I have tried to do this using Internet explorer in 'offline mode' with the problem being if the web page requires an online connection it automatically changes Internet Explorer from 'work offline' to online mode. Any better way to view the web pages with no active content?

I have been looking on the web for the best way to do this and it seems that using AJAX would be good as it allows the loading of dynamic content to be done in the background. However how can I use AJAX? Should I add a ASP.NET website to my visual studio project? OR should I look to use javascript & AJAX in something like dreamweaver? I'm very new to programming so i only really have a bit of experience in vb.net.

everytime i run my project here on laptop with vista as its os, it says internet explorer cannot display the webpage. but in my desktop im using xp and im not encountering that problem.

I was about to create a program about CPU Scheduling (SJF Nonpreemptive), Now, I want to ask the user to input the no. of processes ,then based from the user's input I would display exact no. of text boxes where the user could enter the value for each process then store it in an array. But I don't know how to code the text box., I'm new to VB.net and I'm used to it's 'drag and drop' nature. I just want to know how the code to output this text boxes. and is it possible to have an array of text boxes?
