I am making a program that shows a data of azimuth and elevation of a radar. Example:
Azimuth = 203.40
Elevation = 3.52
I need that the data will always be two number after the point. Even when the number ends with zero (203.40).But the Double by default removes the zero from the end of the number.

I keep receiving this same error about 3-4 times a day and have had no luck tracking down how to resolve this issue. According to the stack trace, the error is occurring within the Microsoft.VisualBasic library so how exactly would I go about fixing this issue? Here's the report I send to myself and what gets generated by the server. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
[Code]...
Update: I understand what the error is and what would cause the error to occur. The problem I'm running into is finding out where exactly this error is coming from within code. The stack trace tells me its coming from Visual Basic but there's nothing else. No line numbers, no other info about what function caused this error to occur, there's zilch to go on so I'm left scratching my head trying to diagnose something, that looks to be wrapped up in a .dll probably.
We're running Ektron 7.6.6 sp2 if that sheds any light onto the subject. Is there any way to get a more robust stack trace? I checked the event viewer on the server and the info i posted earlier is all that's displayed in the event viewer. Which is none to helpful.

I'm outputting a Double that can be either (+) or negative (-). If the number is a negative the symbol (-) is included automatically, is there a way to do this for positive numbers as well?
The only (horrible) way I can do this is :
If MyNumber <= 0 then
string.Format("{0:0.00}", MyNumber)
Else
string.Format("+{0:0.00}", MyNumber)
End If

I have a DGV with a column bound to a Double. When I enter "1%" I get:
System.FormatException: Input string was not in a correct format.
I then try: MsgBox(System.Double.Parse("1%")) and get essentially the same error. (same for "$")
Is there a setting that will allow "$" & "%" as not only valid Double input but also do the correct adjustment for "%"?

I would like to cast a double to an integer, but rather than keep the numerical value the same I want to keep the bit pattern the same (this is for a compression algorithm), is this already possible in VB.net, or would I need to try and come up with my own method for doing this?

So, yes, I've tried with these three formats, and the problem remains the same:I have a string, "s"For Each s As String In stringarray and this array is recieving data from a streamreader that is reading a csv file. The data I'm having dificulty reading are these very specific numbers(yes, only these numbers, because phone numbers get home safe and sound).The numbers I'm talking about are usually decimal.ValueList.Add(Convert.ToDecimal(s))
Now, when I convert them like that, they always bring a "D" alongside with them. I've personally checked the string multiple times, and it just has a "1", and somehow, my list recieves "1D" as a number, same thing happens with decimal numbers(0.29D for example). I've tried with Doubles and Integers, the result is the same.

I'm trying to get my chart (y values) updated on the run, they need to be updated by an integer.
Dim a As Integer
Dim b As Integer
'some button.click code, contains a += 1 and b += 1
Chart1.Series("Series1").Points(0).YValues = a
Chart1.Series("Series1").Points(1).YValues = b
But it says Value of type 'Integer' cannot be converted to '1-dimensional array of Double'.
so, what do I have to do to fix this?

I'm trying to write a (WPF) program with Option Strict on, but I have a problem.
I have a Canvas with a background image, and I want to use the coordinates of where the canvas was clicked to determine what should happen next. (Something like this)
Dim p As Point = e.GetPosition(DirectCast(sender, Canvas))
Dim imgColorMap As System.Drawing.Bitmap = My.Resources.ColorMap
Dim c As System.Drawing.Color = imgColorMap.GetPixel(p.X, p.Y)
This gives me the error: "Option Strict disallows implicit conversion of 'Double' to 'Integer'" for p.X and p.Y I have tried several things, like Math.Round but strangely enough that also returns a double.
How do I cast/round these Double values to Integer, so I can use them in my GetPixel method?

I have a function that is getting passed a String and a DataRow.The String is a custom formatter. The idea is to do this
String.Format(passed_in_String, DataRow("ColumnINeed"))
The reason this is being done is at this point we have no idea what the column contains.However, if the formatter is "{0:MM/dd/yyyy}" and the DataRow("ColumnINeed") is an integer containing 42, String.Format is returning: MM/dd/yyyy In this situation I need it to throw an exception instead of returning nonsense.Is there anyway to make String.Format throw an exception if the object does not match what the format string is expecting?

Zip code: "99999-0000" or "Phone Number: "(999)000-0000" or "(000)000-0000" and the like So far nothing has worked. I can get my date columns formatted correctly, but not these. Can any one give me some examples that work?

I'm quite a newbie in VB.NET (and VB on the whole). So my question could sound rather odd, but still. I've stumbled upon an issue with the CInt and converting a double to an integer.
The issue is the following: CInt(10.5) would be 10
CInt(10.51) would be 11, but I expected 10... (Got used to C# style conversion: (int)10.51 would be 10)
As pointed out here Integer.Parse VS. CInt the result is just rounded in some fashion. Nowever, all I need is to get only integer part and throw away the fractional one. How can I achieve such type of conversion in VB.NET? After a short research I assume that I can use Fix() funciton to do the trick, but is it the best choice ever?
