Mystream.write(t) Doesnt Work - Doesent Write Anything To My H.txt Text File

Write Metadata To PNG Image In .NET
Jul 22, 2010I see more than a few questions asking how to read metadata from an image, but I haven't seen as many asking how to write metadata. Basically, I need to add one item of metadata ("ImageDescription") to a PNG image I'm generating dynamically (creating a Bitmap object and procedurally generating all the content in it).
What would be the best way to add metadata to an image with .NET either before or just after writing the file to disk?

Nov 29, 2011I'm currently creating an SSIS job that will pull picture data from a SQL database and write each picture to a file. We have an ID system that stores all images taken of staff directly to database fields, but we're going to be moving to a new system that stores all of the images as files in paths by User ID.
I have already created my main data flow that gets all of the users and the proper path, but I'm having trouble writing the script component that will create the images. I have the image data as a string, but how do I get it to go out to a file at the proper path?

Use Open Type Fonts To Write To An Image In .net?
Jun 16, 2012Does anyone know of a solution for writing text to an image using an OTF? I know that GDI+ does not support OTF and that WPF does. I can load the font as a label in WPF, but still do not know how I can write this over an image, such as a watermark would do, and save that image.
I need this in an ASP.net page, so I won't actually be able to use WPF, but I figure that might be a start in building a class my page can import.

VS 2010 : Write A Program Which Loads A Tiff Image On Picturebox?
Mar 6, 2011I am trying to write a program which loads a tiff image on picturebox. Then the user clicks somewhere on loaded image to set the starting x,y coordinates and clicks again to set the ending x,y point. Then clicks the run button and the starting and ending x,y points are written on label.
Just to test the program a loaded a tiff image that has a dimension of 75x75 pixels. When I click upperleft and downright corners of the image, the program outputs the coordinates as starting x,y as (103,89) and ending points as (170,157). The program outputs wrong coordinates becayse the image has 75 rows and 75 colums only. To me, it should have outputted starting point as (0,0) and ending points as (75,75).

edit: I realized what the problem ... It can read only cur files with 24-bit color and lower - but it shows only two colors: black and white.

Mar 18, 2012I am trying to read a 16bit binary file (tif image) and pixel values of the image ranges from 1200 to 4500. I tried to use BinaryReader using ReadUInt16 but I get EndOfStreamException Unhandled error. ReadByte method works fine with an 8bit tif file. I do not know how to read a 16bit image file using binaryReader. Shouldn't I use ReadUInt16 since values of pixels range from 1200 to 4500?

.net - Convert Raw-Image-Data Into Image File (*.jpg)?
Apr 28, 2010The coding below is to retrieve the Raw Image Data from the Database and then write as a JPG image file. The problem is the image file (image.jpg) is "nothing" after file created. I guess there is something wrong in the following coding.

No any runtime errors I can find, and I double check rawData (i.e. Buffer) contains data. But don't know why there is "nothing" inside the image (image.jpg).

Sep 28, 2011I am using Visual Studio 2008 on Windows XP SP3. User has Windows 7 Pro (32 bit). The IO code below works for me. The read code works for user, but the write code only works for new files. If the user tries to overwrite a current data file, then no data is written to disk. I have done all the usual IO checking (valid file name, etc.) and have excluded it from my same code. In my app, FileSave and FileSaveAs both call WriteDataFile(FullFileName). Any reasons why FIleSave would work on Windows XP, but not on Windows 7 Pro (32 bit)?

Mar 6, 2012I have an issue where I need to load a fixed-length file. Process some of the fields, generate a few others, and finally output a new file. The difficult part is that the file is of part numbers and some of the products are superceded by other products (which can also be superceded). What I need to do is follow the superceded trail to get information I need to replace some of the fields in the row I am looking at. So how can I best handle about 200000 lines from a file and the need to move up and down within the given products? I thought about using a collection to hold the data or a dataset, but I just don't think this is the right way.[code]....

Nov 17, 2010I am working on a program with multiple collections related to one another for a school project. Each collection needs to have its own defined properties and have the objects written (1 per line) to a text file.
I have all of that working.
When reading the comma-separated line from the file, I want to place one of the properties of the object in a listbox (so that all the objects' names will show up in the listbox). I think I have this part figured out...
My problem is that when you click on the name in the listbox, I would like multiple text boxes to be populated with the appropriate, corresponding properties of the particular object in the collection...is there a way for this to be done?

Nov 8, 2011What my program does is load a file (password list), then progressively reads each line of text in the file whilst writing each line to a new file. After X amount of lines have been written, it should start writing the lines of text to a new document until the initial password list has been split into X amount of password lists. The problem I have is that after hours of tweaking, all I can get it to do is write either blank ocuments, or write all of the lines to only one file. I really need it to be able to split into multiple files, preferably at runtime rather than loading a whole text document into the program in a textbox or array then writing it to new files.Below is the source:
