XML Reading Rows In Sequence

I am creating a program which needs to read a regularly updated online XML file. I am using the XDocument type to do this and currently need to read each row and its attributes' values from XMLs like this one:
<?xml version='1.0' encoding='UTF-8'?>
<eveapi version="1">
<currentTime>2007-12-12 11:48:50</currentTime>
<result>
<rowset name="characters" key="characterID" columns="name,characterID,corporationName,corporationID">

My first thought was to use a statement similar to this but apparently it is invalid:
For Each d...<rowset>.<row> In d...<rowset>
The reason that this code fails is that it never even enters the for loop, although I'm sure the if block code is wrong too which is why I put a comment there, but my main issue is making the loop work for reading each row in order.

i have a button and 2 text boxes to insert datai have a button and 2 text boxes to read the datait seems that when i insert a row, it is not being inserted as the very next row. or at least it is not reading it in order1st. I add rws with the values (2 columns in table) 1 and 1, then 2 and 2, then 3 and 32nd. I read the rows, the do not come up in order 1 and 1, then 2 and 2, then 3 and 3. I will get somethign like 1 and 1, then 3 and 3, then 2 and 2,it does read it the same way each time i read it.

I have a vb.net app that I can read a .xls file into a dataset or loop through as oledbdatareader and it gives the same result.Some of the rows have all nulls when I loop through them but if I open the same file in Microsoft Excel I can see that row fine.[code]From the info above the first two SKU values would come through fine but when I get to the 3rd row it would show a null.Is it possible that it kind of inherits the first rows type and since the 3rd row isn't all numeric if nulls it? I am working on Treeview control and Gridview Control VB.NET08. In the Treeview i have Parent and Child Nodes. Like: [Code] Comparing the Parent Node text and first two digits in the Column values. I want to add rows inbetween the gridview rows based on the parent and Child Nodes. If i expand the First Parent Node Called "31" then according to the Number of Child Nodes (for first parent node(31) there are 5 child nodes.) add rows in the gridview.
These New rows should be add under the 31-xxxx. If i expand the 32 Parent Node based on number of Child Nodes, add rows under the 32-xxxx. [Code] I am getting the rows in the end of the Gridrow not in the Specific row.

How would i delete only the successful inserted rows for insert and then move the non successful rows up and allow the user to correct the data and get it ready for an insert. If i dont delete the successful rows then i will have multiple inserts of the same dataRow and we dont want that! AND if i dont move the data up then it will have blank rows uptop and will end the try and not insert the corrected data. You can better see what logic i am trying to perform at the bottom of my code, right after I insert into the database. Here is my code.

I have three sub tables that I want to process. For each I want to combine the rows, as they are only different by contents in the second column(I want to do the same to the fourth column, later):

I have the code listed above as a translation from a Java snippet. The problem i have is that in Java, my table was stored as a dataset and as such, the methods were easily identifiable by "getRow" and getCell" using specific numbers and column names. However in VB the information is stored in an MS Access database (which i already have an open connection to, called: "_SalesPerformance_AnalyticsToolDatabaseDataSet12") and as such i do not know the correct way in which to iterate through each row in the database, checking a specific column against an already specified variable and then returning an integer based upon the value of a seperate column in the same row.

New to programming completely,on VB 10 Express. I am in the process of creating a keypad which I can punch in numbers 1- 9 to enter a password. I have 9 buttons for the numbers. I've got the keys to print the numbers into the textbox above but when I press a second key it replaces the first number in the text box.
My question is, how do I make the numbers go in sequence, so instead of
(Press 1) - 1 -
(Press 2) - 2 - (clears 1)
I want it to go like
(Press 1) - 1 -
(Press 2) - 12 -
and so on...

So, the problem is that when I run the code, there is an "Sequence contains no elements" error in the first query(valuefrom). I debugged and it says that there is nothing in the query, but I don't understand why? I'm curious to know if it is well done to do something like I did, create an object from two queries, putting the first value in the second query.
