Accessing A Data File From Access Database?

I have a problem with accessing a data file from Access database. Data Source configuration Wizard comes back with a dialoge box saying "Error Message: Could not load type 'Microsoft Visual Studio.DataDesign.SynDesigner.SyncFacade.SyncManger' from assembly
'MicrosoftVisualStudio.DataDesign.SynDesigner.DslPackage,version = 9.0.0.0, Culture = netural,PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a
My computer is a Vista and it have known to have lots of problem, but not sure if this is one of it.

I installed Visual Studio 2008 and Office Enterprise 2007 in my new computer.I made some codes for a data reader to get data from an Access dabase. On the step where it will open the connection an exception appeared which says "Microsoft.Jet.Oledb.4.0 provider is not registered on the local machine".

I've just started learning Visual Basic 2008 and I am stuck with accessing a database through VB, I am using the Data Source Configuration Wizard. Everything goes fine until I start debugging, there is no information in any of the fields. However if I use a different computer in the house I can look at different records.

I have made a front-end application in Visual Basic .NET that will store data entered by the user in a backend Access 2003 Database. The application has other functionality as well.If the user searchs for a previous record that has been stored in the Access Database, I query the Database (SELECT ... ) using an OLEDB Connection and then display the records on a Datagrid on my Form. Everything is working fine, however, the Column Headings of the Datagrid are the Field Names in my Database (FirstName, LastName,...) rather than Caption Values (First Name, Last Name,... )
I tried looking up the net, but most of the topics addressing a similar problems use DAO, and I understand that it is not completely supported in VB .NET. I am fairly new to VB .NET and I am not quite sure how to address the problem or where I am going wrong. I tried using FirstName.Caption but that gives a Runtime error (One or more parameters missing from the Sentence)

I use Visual Basic in Access, and I have no problem writing data directly to a cell in a database table. But I can not figure out how to write the code for Visual Basic 2008. For example I would
use Me![cust_Cost] = 20 to input 20 in the database table.
I have purchased two different Books on Visual Basic 2008 and not one of them show how to input data manually.

I am an old VB2 programmer and in the process of moving up. In VB2 I could obtain a data row via and index on an access table. I can not find an example on how to do this. I can retrieve a single row using a query, but an index would be faster. I know in Oracle use can use a hirt to direct the query to use the index.Here is what I was during in VB2 (Sample) with no hint.

Is it possible to add, edit, view and delete records using a file only (instead of a database) and .Net 2005 (VB.Net/C#)? The concept is that a file that'll work more-or-less like a database. One can add, edit, view, delete and query data to and from the file. The file, either cannot be opened directly or data inside the file should be in some encrypted form so that even if the file is opened no one can comprehend it. Data inside the file can only be manipulated by a front end application i.e. .Net 2005.

I can save my data to access database and in the access database field I set it to date/time.But problem is when I get the value out from the database.. the format is always month/day/year hour:minutes:seconds example today: 5/2/2011 12:00:00..How to get the value into listview becoming May/2/2011 without the hour..Here's my code to get it from database ListView1.Items(i).SubItems.Add(dt.Rows(i)(14).ToString).The second problem is.When I would like to edit, how can the datetimepicker get the listview value ? I am trying to import data from an access database to a access database that my project uses I am having problems with combo box fields in the database with the data. I want to import what is displayed instead of the numerical key value. What I am doing is making a Database of foreign Languages with the spelling of the words and the pronounciation inside the database... The USER enters a paragraph of words into the translator textbox and pushed translate. The program has a DATABANK of words with the phonetic spellings and matches the word, then translates to phonetics. The problem is that new words keep appearing inside the language. Friends I have Developed my Data base Project on vb6, using adodc and datagrid using ms access database file, it was working nice in vb6, I also put Search box there and used adodc1.recordsource="select * from table" sql query.
later i needed to convert it in vb.net I converted it, every thing is working fine, but one problem appears, an adodc's Recordsource query for searching records is not working, it only works if there is data in dataset (Datagrid),suppose once i pressed search button to search record and if no record found then dataset / datagrid becomes empty, now i wanted to search an other record with other name, but this time it does not work and following error appears Either BOF or EOF is True, or the current record has been deleted. Requested operation requires a current record.

I have a bit of a problem. I am using an Access database to hold data for my VB app. In the VB app, I have a data source thats pulling data from the database.
I modified the database today, deleted some tables, added another one, but the data source in the project window does not show these updated changes. I had to reconfigure the datasource with the wizard to get the changes to update.
Is there a way that i can get the data source to update itself when the form loads?
