Add Datatable To Sql Table?

I have a set of code that builds a table as the user enters information. This information may be changed more than once before it is considered complete. After the user is done, I want them to click a button, and have that information entered into the SQL database where it belongs. Right now, the code I am using gives the error: "System.ArgumentException: This row already belongs to another table"

Is there a way to add a table to a table like this, or do I need to add each row to the SQL table as the user moves along.

Datatable To Pivot Table?

I have a datatable in memory (a flat file, no primary key or relation to other table) and I wish to make a pivot table in Excel out of it. I have been using the Excel COM, so I am hoping that there is a way to do it this way. I have seen code that will put data in a pivot cache via an SQL connection string, but I have yet to find anyway of using a datatable as is.

I used the DataSet Designer to create FTWDataSet which holds the AlarmText table from a SQLExpress database.This far my form contains ONLY Datagridview1.The code below successfully shows the contents of the AlarmText table plus the one added checkbox column (which I will populate with display-only data, and is not an issue here).

I am trying to convert some old VB6 code into VB.NET. The old code used DAO and now I am trying to replicate it in ADO.NET/OleDB. I have made some advances (I think...) but now I can't figure out how to add the DataTable object into the database.[code]So instead of the TableDef, I am taking the data from the same sheet and putting it in a DataTable object (dt). I'm having some trouble trying to export a datatable to Access. I've built an Access DB and Table identical to the datatable that I'm trying to export using ADOX.Now using and OLEDB connection I'm trying to populate that table. The following code works just fine in another app written in 2005 but not in 2008 for some reason.

Basically I'm bringing in the empty Access table into a dataset.Filling that table with the rows from the export datatable.Then running the dataadapter's update method to send the data to Access.The problem is the da_a.Update doesn't seem to work. No errors, the Access table just isn't being populated. I checked my before and after counts. I know that the datatable is being populated. It's just not landing in Access.

I'm creating an small application where I search from the databse table tems and add the result line to a datarow of my datatable "dt", I the set the datagridviewe datatsource to this same dt.How can I save this dt content into another table of the same database.I'm not ussing stored procedures and dont understand much of parameters.

I am working with VB.NET.. i have a DataTable called "QUESTION", containing 3 fields:

QuestionNumber (unique integer key)
QuestionText
QuestionType

In my SQL Server database I created a Table called "QUESTION" with the same fields.
QuestionNumber is defined as integer unique key, auto increment

Now, when i make a bulk copy to insert the DataTable into the SQL Server, the database overwrites my QuestionNumber from the DataTable and generates new ones (starting from 1 increment 1).

How do i have to change my database setup, that the original QuestionNumbers are copied into the database?

I have a table in Access with two key fields (let's call them Item and Cust). These key fields *combined* are the primary key. So each record must have a unique Item and User combination. It can have a duplicate Item with other records, and a duplicate Cust with other records, but not a duplicate of both. Because my "primary key" is a combination of two fields, I can't make a primary key on the table in Access (it only supports one field as a primary key).

I have another table in SQLServer which also has Item and Cust, but in addition, is has several descriptive fields that give more details about the Item and Cust. I'm trying to use ADO.NET to bring in that SQL Server table and UPDATE some matching fields in Access with the descriptive fields. [Code]
