Add The Update Button On Form?

I am trying to add the update button on my form. The application run's fine but when I change the GPRDSTATUS - to another value and click Update buton the following exception is given "NullReference Exception was unhandled". Highlighting this line of code :
objDataAdapter.Fill(objDataSet, "DistinctGP27").
This is the piece of code I used to want to Update the the table DistinctGP27

I am trying to update my form once the delete button is clicked. There are several fields like Name, Date, Date of Birth and so on. Once I delete a record I want the form to automatically load with new / updated data. This form fetches data from MS Access using OLEDB I have spent a long long time trying this but did not get any solution.

I tried to update the button text on a form from a backgroundworker.do_work event, and it failed, with the usual cross-thread exception message.However, by pure chance, I also tried to update text in a system.windows.form.toolstripstatuslabel also from this backgroundworker.do_work event, and it DOES work. Question: why is this? Is it perhaps because theres some kind of implicit shared behaviour with system.windows.form.toolstripstatuslabel?

I have a webbrowser and on a form I need it to fill text. The problem is, in order for the submit button to activate, you have to atleast type in 1 letter for it to update and make it send. The problem is when I do document.getElementById("p1").innerHTML= "SSSS" it works but it wont update the submit button to allow me to submit the form. What should I do?

I have a db with three tables. On the form i drop the first table, then the second (related), then the third (related to the second). I use 1 dataset and three datagridviews. The problem is that i can't update the three tables when i use the update button. I use VB 2008.

After saving, I get the correct message ("Saved"), and the DataGridView in the first form gets updated in real time.
But... when I take look at the data (or close and reopen the forms) the data in the database (SQL server) have not changed! What happens!

How can I update and get values in a Windows Forms application while moving one form to other form (like cookies)?
I need to update the values to some variable and again I am going to refer stored values and need to do some calculations.

I was using 2 forms, the first one has general data capture and the second one is a calendar form. On Form1 I have mulitple windows controls. A Textb ox and beside a Calendar button. When I click on a Calendar Command button, it should open calendar form and once the user selects the date, the date should be placed in the text box on the form1. Identical to this on Form1 I need multiple textboxes that needs date to be captured.I cannot use a global variable for this as I need to validate mulitple text boxes. To explain this, I have a Transaction Date and Date Received. I need to validate whether Transaction date is prior Date Received or not? I dont want to use several global variables b'coz I might need multiple validations as above. Please help me on this.

I have a date selector on mdi parent that updates a property when date is changed. When I open a child form, it grabs the property just fine. However if I change the date again after the child is open the date does not change on the child unless I close and reopen the form as expected. What would be the best way to automatically update all open child forms when the date is changed on the parent at anytime? running a timer to parse the date property is impractical.

I'm a beginner to Visual Basic, and I made a simple program, however I want to put a 'check update' button in it... It consists of downloading a txt file that contains three numbers, if it match with the version of the program it says 'you already have the most up-to-date version' or else it asks you to download the update and then bring you to the dev blog of the program I made, however, when I download that file, it brings me a blank txt file instead of the one I uploaded into the site. I have already done the creation of button and the dragging of button at runtime already.But now i need to know how do i save the last dragged button on the form and also detect the name of the last clicked button.so lets say i now drag a button to coordinates 25,254. so when i exit the form and the next time i launch it, the button will still be at 25,254. and this one will go on for the number of button i created like 100. so when i launch the form the 100 button will be at the exact position where i last saved them.the second part is lets say i created button1 and button2 on the form in runtime. so when i clicked the first button, it should display button1. and if i clicked on button 2, it should say button2. same goes for like 100buttons.

I have created a button in a UserControl. I have added that button to a WindowsForm in another app and added a buttonclick event to the code. When running (debugging) the app and clicking on the button; nothing happens. It doesn't act like a button at all.
