Asp.net - Shading Every Other Row In A Listview?

Sep 14, 2011

I have been Googling this for about a day now, and every post I find is too old and Visual Studio doesn't recognize some pieces of code that people have posted. I have a dynamically populated Listview. I would really like every other line to be shaded for readability purposes, and just can't figure it out. Everything I try to do messes with the Modal PopupExtender that I have inside of the Listview. It trys to shade the lines inside the PopUpBox too. This is one of the Listviews that I would like shaded.

RichTextBox Not Able To Display Table Background / Shading

Sep 23, 2011

So I have this project where I have to convert a web browser control to a RTB and the xml/html to rtf database scripts, no real issue there until I did my proof of concept which showed the loss of formatting.

Searching all over for a good html to rtf converter showed little promise and most do a worse job then copy/paste.

Anyone have any links or code for converting a table's cell background to rtf?

VS 2010 - Shading Some Areas Of Clock Image Based On Time

Mar 30, 2011

I have a table which contains the start date and end date, in my db. What I currently do is simply display both the fields in a ListView control. But instead of that approach, I'm thinking about displaying a 'clock' image and shading those areas with some color. This is similar to a Pie Chart. But the only difference is, I'm going to display a clock's image as background and the shading is based on the time.

Direct3D / Windows Mobile - Lighting / Shading - Mesh Appears Flat?

Mar 20, 2010

Im currently working my way through understanding direct3D with visual basic for windows mobile. So far I have managed to write a fairly decent engine that allows me to create and transform any number of 3D primitives and 2D sprites. However I cant seem to figure out how to get Direct3D to apply any sort of shading to my meshes. Regardless of what angle they are to the camera, or their position in 3D space, they remain a solid flat color on every single polygon of the mesh.

DoDragDrop List View Item Reordering - User Can Drag Media Tracks From One Listview To Another Listview

Feb 12, 2010

I have a media browser program I am building. I am trying to use drag/drop so a user can drag media tracks from one listview to another listview and then use the second list view as a playlist in windows media player com object. Reading at MSDN I have found out that there is no built in support for item re-ordering with the listview control. I have listview1 working correctly but when I try to reorder items in listview2, the dragged item ends up at the end of the list. So basically I need to get the item insertion index corrected. I have tried more than 10 times to get this code right.

Here is my code which includes a form with two listview's.

Public Class Form1

Private Sub ListView_ItemDrag(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As _
System.Windows.Forms.ItemDragEventArgs) Handles ListView1.ItemDrag, _
ListView2.ItemDrag

ListView Rowheight Varies - Using ListView Control, With SmallIcons Style ?

Mar 15, 2012

I'm using ListView control, with SmallIcons style in VB.NET. Icons are loaded fine, but when I start to scroll ListView down or up from scrollbar (clicking from arrows), rowheight drops to about half from normal in next 20-30 rows below/above upper/bottom row (depends from the scrolling position). After 1-2 seconds, ListView is "refreshed" and scrolling continues normally. When focus in on the ListView and I'm moving up/down with arrow keys or PageUp/PageDown, everything is normal. Any suggestions, what is happening? SmallIcons size is 16 * 16. Is it compulsory to set "Blank icon" with SmallIcon size to all rows, when adding them or what? Wasn't like that in VB6, how is it in VB.NET?

VS 2008 - How To Access Listview Data - Program That Contains A (listview) Control

Sep 22, 2009

I have a vb-2008 program that contains a (listview) control.

View = details
AllowColumnReorder = true

Lets say the table has 3 columns (a,b,c) and 1 row of data.

a b c
1 2 3

I want the user to be able to re-arrange the columns (by dragging the column headers) before printing the contents of the table.

c a b
3 1 2

Statements like:

.. ListViewX.Columns(2).Text
.. ListViewX.Columns.Item(2).Text
.. ListViewX.Items(0).SubItems(2).ToString

Give the column-name (c) and cell-contents (3) of the origional table .. not the (3rd) column (b) of the re-arranged table.

How can i get the column-name and cell-contents of the (3rd) column of the re-arranged table?

2008 : Listview With Image List - Change The Image In The Listview Dynamically?

Jan 15, 2010

I have a listview control. it has an imagelist attached to it with two images in it. I have entered items into my listview, and they are using the first image in my imagelist.... GREAT! Now, there is a variable I have that will tell me which index in the listview is currently active, noting to do with what I select that could be at another index it's just what's being processed by the program at the time in some task.

Create a function that will change the images of all my listview items by looping through them. If the index variable is set to 2, I want the 3rd item in my list view set to use the 2nd image in my imagelist. The rest of the items in my listview need to be set to the first image in the imagelist.
