I have a window application develpoed in vs 2008, framework 3.5, in which i have put a button.. Now where i click that button the other text boxes are filled up with the data from database thru web service.. what i want is while all text boxes are being filled i want to show an animated loading gif image till data loading is completed in all the text boxes.. i have tried to use image picture box but while data is loading gif image is displyes but in static mode.. cant see animation... i think this is because data loading and animation both are done thru one UI thread..

This may sound really stupid but I have to ask cause I'm not finding this answer anywhere.I have an application where the user will need to sign up for a new user account on the website [URL]..However when I am using Firefox's plug-in Firebug to view html I am getting something totally different than when I just right click on the site and view the page source.
What I am trying to do is to get the captcha from the website and display it in a picturebox on the application so the user can view the captcha, solve the captcha and then the app post is back to the service for a response.
Here is the source that I am getting using Firefox's Firebug to inspect the element:
<td>
<input type="hidden" value="Oo3Jo1I8bgzK68agMqo3s79ZZib2OkbK" name="iden">
<img class="capimage" src="/captcha/Oo3Jo1I8bgzK68agMqo3s79ZZib2OkbK.png" alt="i wonder if these things even work">
</td>
[Code]...
Why would the two be showing me two different versions of the HTML?
And how would you be able to grab that source to view in a picturebox using webclient?

Is it possible to load a html document, delete a part (e.g. some divs containers), reload the new html document and show it in a webbrowser? I want to load for instance the helloworld.html and delete the sentence "Hello World!" and reload the new one which should be only white. Therefore all the nodes:
<p>Hello World!</p>
<p></p>
should be deleted.

I have intellisense when i type this:<p><%= boolean.falsestring %></p>
I don't have intellisense when i typ this:<p class="<%= boolean.falsestring %>"></p>
To further clarify (see line below), the first <%=%> doesn't show me intellisense popup, the second however does, why is that? <p class="<%= boolean.falsestring %>"><%= Boolean.FalseString%></p>

I'm doing the first bit of web-page development I've done in years, in VS2008, using VB.net. I have a fairly simple layout, which is using several nested tables. IE6 displays the layout just fine, but Firefox for some reason shows the whole thing in a small panel at the top of the page, with a scrollbar.

I am trying to make an application where i show a picture of the human body and i want to have clickable body parts e.g. arm, leg, head, torso and each of these opens up a form.
I already got the picture of the body as a background to the form but I need to create these clickable areas.
I can use the picture box and just leave it transparent without an image, but these can only be shaped as squares/rectangles etc, not ideal for create a clickable area conforming to the shape of a human body.
If there is an alternate way of doing this? or making those picture boxes a custom shape?

I'm developing an application in VB.Net (VS2008) which allows the creation of classroom layouts. The layout is a panel and has child panels (seat objects) the seats are then populated using drag and drop and show a preview of the person sitting there.
I would like to export this panel to a printable format such as jpeg, pdf etc.I have tried using the CopyFromScreen but I can't get this to only output the layout panel. (some of the panel could be off the screen at the time of export)I have also considered using HTML outputting each seat as an absolutely positioned div container. Then printing the HTML page.

I have been asked to try and create a tool that will take an HTML table from a .html file and convert the table into an image.I am not sure how to approach this. I have tried several examples on the web, but can't seem to get any to work, like convert from base64 string into a byte array, then into a memory stream, then to image. I have also tried to use a webrequest, but cant seem to get that to work, either.

I am using this code to parse an html file for image locations:
Dim htmlDoc As String = IO.File.ReadAllText(path, System.Text.Encoding.Default)
Dim Regex As New System.Text.RegularExpressions.Regex("img.*srcs*=s*(?:""(?<1>[^""]*)""|(?<1>S+))")
[Code].....
How would I change the regex string so that it leaves off everthing from the img to the src=, so that I'm just left with what's in between the quotes? Note that sometimes there is stuff between "img" and "src=" and sometimes there is not.

I am upgrading a 1.1 web app to 4.0 and am running into an issue with the page_load of a custom user control firing twice, both being treated as non-postbacks (IsPostBack is false in the case). I have read around and it seems that there are 2 culprits to this, 1 being an img tag without something in the src part (which there are no images on this page at all) or 2 an issue with AutoEventWireup and Handles being used at the same time. I have looked through all my code and there are no Handles keywords in there at all and AutoEventWireUp is set to true on every page, yet I still get this issue.

Basically, I'm trying to get the Page_Load subroutine to execute on the page load, but it doesn't seem to be called. I'm assuming that because I set my feedback label to "feedback" in the Page_Load subroutine, I should see it displayed on the page saying "feedback" on first loading the page and every time I refresh. But this doesn't happen. I'm lead to conclude that the Page_Load subroutine is not being called on the page load.
