I have been asked to try and create a tool that will take an HTML table from a .html file and convert the table into an image.I am not sure how to approach this. I have tried several examples on the web, but can't seem to get any to work, like convert from base64 string into a byte array, then into a memory stream, then to image. I have also tried to use a webrequest, but cant seem to get that to work, either.

View 1 Replieshow i can read text or HTML from a website opened in IE?
This is the code i'm trying to use:
For Each ie As InternetExplorer In New ShellWindowsClass()
HTML = ie. ???
Next
I want to read the HTML code of the page into a string.
I am using this code to parse an html file for image locations:
Dim htmlDoc As String = IO.File.ReadAllText(path, System.Text.Encoding.Default)
Dim Regex As New System.Text.RegularExpressions.Regex("img.*srcs*=s*(?:""(?<1>[^""]*)""|(?<1>S+))")
[Code].....
How would I change the regex string so that it leaves off everthing from the img to the src=, so that I'm just left with what's in between the quotes? Note that sometimes there is stuff between "img" and "src=" and sometimes there is not.
The projects program is designed to open files output by another program, allow the user to edit the files content, then send the file to a specific bookmark within a word template. Unfortunately most of the output files by the 'other program' are html format.Question Is there a way to strip out HTML from the file when it has opened in my text area within the program? I found one or two online guides but haven't managed to get them working.
View 4 RepliesWhat I'm trying to do is grab a specific image from the page and throw it into a picturebox on my form. This isn't difficult and I know how to do it except this time in the source of the page there is no image url yet on the page if i right click copy source on the image there is a full link to it. I am confused and not sure how I could grab that image from the 'front' of the site rather than the 'back'.
View 7 RepliesI've been programming in VB6 for years, I have decided to take the plunge into VB.net and C# 2010 but having a little problem understanding the big picture.In VB6 I could create user controls and save them as .ocx files, then use those .ocx's in other programs or on html pages. I am sure the same idea is present in VS 2010, I'm just not seeing it.Can anyone recommend a book or tutorial that will show me the big picture of all the aspects of the .net environment?
View 2 RepliesSo i've been working on a page for a project where the person logs into a login page and then can see a list from the database of employees. everything is working except for one problem. If someone puts in a username and password, username= a and password=b, for example it still allows that individual to view the next page and doesn't throw the error that i have enbedded on the login page to say sorry you have the incorrect password/username. The working code that i have so far is below:

I have more than 30,000 rows in a table. It takes a lot of time to load all the data in the gridview. So I want to display 100 rows at a time. When I click next page button, another 100 rows should be displayed. When I click previous page button, previous 100 rows should be displayed. If I type page 5 in a text box, then I want to jump over to the 5th lot of rows.
I also want to display how many pages there will be. Can we implement this concept in vb.net [winform] gridview. I am using database PostgreSQL.

View 2 RepliesI am trying save a value from an input tag in some HTML source code. The tag looks like so:
<input name="user_status" value="3" />
I have the page source in a variable (pageSourceCode), and need to work out some regex to get the value (3 in this example). I have this so far: [Code] Which works fine most of the time, however this code is used to process source code from multiple sites (that use the same platform), and sometimes there are other attributes included in the input tag, or they are in a different order, eg:
<input class="someclass" type="hidden" value="3" name="user_status" />
I just dont understand regex enough to cope with these situations.
I have picturebox that the user can import an image, and then save it to the datatable. I can save it with no problem, and the image, which is a logo, will populate onto my crystal reports pages.My issue, is that I want the logo to automatically load into the picturebox when the user opens my settings form. How can I do the opposite of the following:
'set the company datatable for sub
Dim borrowersrow As PlannerFilesDataSet.CompanytableRow
'use only the first row
