I have a Credit Card Number in an XML Message and I want to use a regex to find the Credit Card Number and encrypt it. All numbers are 16 characters long and they are not always in the same place in the xml, so basically I think I just need to find a string that is 16 characters and decrypt it, but I am not sure how.

I just finished this application where you enter a five-digit credit card number, with the fifth digit being the check digit. everything seems to work except, I can't seem to get it to determine that any number is "valid". Every 5-digit combination that I enter returns "The credit card number is not valid". Im using visual basic 2008 express

Where you can create an account by typing in an account number which then starts you out with a $1,000 credit limit and balance.I have most of all the programming done for the project. Except for the updating of the current balance when charges are made and I'm having a problem with the interest which works but only shows you the interest fee when you calculate and not the interest fee + balance due. But I wont worry about that now.
What is the method of doing this. Can I write a new function that will update the balance available based on the charges or payments made? Or can I somehow program that into the current functions?

It is a masked text box that shows in the format XX/XX.It is used for the expiry date of a credit card.What I need to do is how to take a value like 08/11 which means August, 2011 and check that it is in the future.For example something like 08/09 would be last year and hence would be invalid.Is there any way to take this string and check?

On the new server (Windows Server 2008) everything is working except for credit card decryption in the store admin. No errors are being sent, no exceptions thrown, just the encrypted string being output to the screen instead of a decrypted credit card number.

I am trying to make a basic ATM system, iv got all the interface done and I have made the link to my SQL database etc. the part i'm stuck on is how I can run a check to see if a bank card number matches up to the users PIN number. To simulate the user putting a card into the machine I've used a combo box, and that lists all the cards, that haven't been flagged as confiscated (there's a column in my ATMCards table that I can set to true or false) then after the user has selected a relevant card there's another text box where they can enter in their PIN number.
Now what I want to do is, if they chose the card number 1234567890123456 in the combo box and they enter in the PIN 1234 into the text box, then, after clicking the check PIN Button if the pin is correct they need to be taken to another from where they can check their balance etc., and if its wrong they got three attempts after which point i want to flag that card as confiscated.
Still working on a very simplistic poker game and I'm struggling with getting the code to show my cards in picture boxes. I currently have 12 picture boxes set up on my form and when clicking the "deal" button I created on the form, I would like a random number to be generated from 1-53 and based on the number returned I would like a picture of a playing card entered into the picturebox. I would like this to happen in 10 picture boxes. So playing cards will be shown in the picture box on 10 of them and a the card back on the picture box 11 and 12. After hitting a second button, I would like the 11th and 12th boxes to display a card from the deck.
With all that being said my questions are:
1. How do I associate the random numbers with my playing cards? (I have my card pictures in a file on my computer.)
2. How do I get the picture of the cards into the picture boxes? What would the code look like?
3. I have a button to clear all the cards, but how to I program it.
I have been looking all over the net trying to find a program that can read data from a USB CCID card reader.
after several hours and several pages of useless info i thought maybe there is a way i could create a simple progeam in VB to read the data, so i started another long search for info also to no avail.

(I already found code for working with a sound card and for drawing spectrograms) I'm wondering because it would make a cool radio-type project. I'd prefer a solution that integerates well with .net (VB or C#).My basic goal is to capture the ambient radio waves and build a primative "telescope" of sorts. Using the built in computer hardware is just the easiest way to accomplish this. The client is prompted for their name and a personal reference number. If the application is successful then this number becomes the loan agreement reference number. If the applicant has a credit rating of 14 or more points the application is rejected. If the credit rating is less than 14 points then the client is prompted for the loan period (must be equal to 12, 24 or 36 months) and the amount required.
The cost of the loan is 6% if required over 12 months and 8% if over 24 months and 12% over 36 months. This is added to the loan. The applicant's net monthly income and total monthly outgoings are taken into account. If the monthly repayment is more than 25% of disposable income (net income outgoings), then the application is rejected. If the repayment is less than or equal to 25% then the loan is granted and a form is produced and printed with the relevant information, including the loan and repayment amounts.

i have an array consist of ({9,2,10,5,7}) and i have a total = "17".
the question is, how do i find which sum of array that match the total ??
do you people know the algorithm or in vb.net language ??
the number in array not always the same and so the total is. that is just an example.
search a dataset table and search a column within that table for a value than if the value is true in the column find out which row number it was on
